  • I demonstrate a KKA 1050 Kribber Adzer for Canadian Pacific Railway and train a couple of operators and a mechanic on how to operate it and do some general maintenance. Follow me as I train them and show how to adjust the cutter head and show what it should look like after replacing rail.

    I've never understood why Canada and America use a track system like this, here in the UK we use concrete and even steel sleepers (ties) rail laying and maintenance is so much easier and more precise and the network as a result is safer.

      I do understand. We do use cement ties in some places. There are a few reasons why they are better and a few as to why they are not always better. But the short answer is because there are way more tracks in the US than in Europe. So wood is just more cost effective.
