A lot of folks had hoped to see polyphonic aftertouch, but unfortunately they stuck with channel aftertouch. The loss of 4 pads and I/Os isn't ideal either.
Every time I see the Keylab, I wonder why the Astrolab lack the knobs and faders of the rest of the Lab series 😂 Anyway, having Analog Lab, I constantly consider adding a Keylab, but, with my recent semi-modular hardware additions, I kinda wish they would blend the Lab and Step series a bit and add some CV outputs, at least on the bigger Keylab entries.
@@AlexReidStudios I think i recall reading thats how they did the MK2 as well, so hopefully i just need to be patient. the 88mk2 has a lot of features the smaller ones didnt as far as keybed and stuff. I am very much hoping they go for poly AT on the 88MK3 in addition to the release velocity. would be nice if i didnt need to fire up my hydrasynth every time i wanted to use those features.
I meam, it looks prettier. I would totally get one. But i had a MkII i totally would not get one. Never mind, the features are amazing for the affordable price point
@@AlexReidStudiosyeah, I'm planning on getting this. I have a Nektar Impact that's fine. It has after touch, but no controls. But it was super affordable. The keylab has always been something I thought about getting for an upgrade. And I'm glad I didn't get the MKII now, because this is the one I'd get now
I own the leylab49 essential for some time now, love it, but thinking on an upgrade next year, and yep it will be the mk3 49
Nice! Honestly I like it a lot, specially thanks to the DAW integration

Yeah I don't know why they improved some stuff, but also took away others

@@Cysubtor_8vb That'd be a great controller. Agree with that!
still waiting for the 88 key one to get the mk3 treatment.
@@GillamtheGreatest yeah, dunno why they don't launch their 88s at the same time as the other two

Strange, where is midi2? Should have been somewhere there for 600 bucks 🤑 Maybe I wasn't diligent enough seeking.
@@alexdiakov_ambient I think it doesn't have that

I'm using the MK2, and this feels somewhat inferior
@@MreenalMams Why is that? As I don't the mk2 I'm curious
@@AlexReidStudios I have 16 pads, there's 9 switches below the faders, and at the back there's more connectivity.. I'll share a photo on discord..
@@MreenalMams That's a huge difference. I think they took away the buttons to move the workflow to the new screen
Same. The only thing that piques my interest is the touch sensitivity but that's not enough to make me upgrade
what is with the silly mask

Looks like essential 😂😂not so much impressive
Last mk2 too much better than this 😊😊
@@ParveenGoyal-f4j I wish I had the mk2 to make a proper comparison
