Would you add any other movies to this list?
Almost famous is one of my favorite movies of all time. Absolute killer movie
That Walk Hard thumbnail. Such an amazing and slept on comedy!
Osmosis Jones was one of my favorites when i was a kid. I used to watch it over and over.
Treasure island >
Traumatised me as a kid! I hated washing my hands before I saw it. I LOVE washing my hands NOW 😂
@@BethGoth15 lmao
WHY DO I KEEP SEEING DEWEY COX EVERYWHERE
The universe is telling you to watch it
Cause the wrong kid died!!!
Walk hard
In my mind, you're blowing me....some kisses
Hey…have you heard the news? Dewey Cox died!!
Bro I’ve never ever heard of “death to smoochey “ I’ve seen literally every movie on this list….now I know what I’m watching next, thank you!!!
I was in death to smoochy. The scenes on ice were filmed in the maple leaf gardens in Toronto. Robin Williams helped me with math homework and signed the sheet without me asking. I also got to play catch with Danny Devito a couple times. Both good guys.
I don't believe Kate Hudson or Phillip Seymore Hoffman was that popular when Almost famous dropped. They weren't huge stars then. It's probably why the movie bombed. Nobody really knew who that guy was either. He was an unknown. I still don't know his name and don't remember seeing him in another movie after that.
I love so many of these movies. The Life Aquatic, Almost Famous, Punch-Drunk Love Death to Smoochie, Idiocracy, Donnie Darko, Speed Racer... So many classics. I probably still own all of those movies on DVD. Oh, and Walk Hard, is the best Musical comedies ever!!!
Lotta good films on this list! The Zemeckis Christmas Carol remains my favorite adaptation of that story, and I watch it every year in the appropriate season. What stands out is how faithful the film is to the original, which seems to have been one of the primary reasons the film was made in the first place. The motion capture is much improved from Zemeckis's Polar Express, and honestly I don't have any uncanny valley issues with it. It also contains some of my favorite Christmas Carol adaptation moments, from utter horror of the charity men when they hear the "surplus population" line, the heartbreaking look on the face of Oldman's Bob Cratchet after the (future) death of Tiny Tim, and the heartwarming moment when Scrooge says he has "come to dinner...if you'll have me". Ace marks for the music, ace marks for the representation of Dickensian London, and ace marks for Carrey's many characters, most especially his Ghost Of Christmas Present (who really adeptly bounces between merriment and harsh teaching tones and looks).
I saw children of men in theaters and it blew me away. Its cinematography was amazing. Some superb camera shots. Would love to experience it on the big screen again.
I was one who saw Walk Hard in theaters and LOVED it.
I don't remember seeing The Last Temptation of Christ listed at the marquis in Donnie Darko.... But the weird thing is that it always HAS ABSOLUTELY made me think of that film. The two are very similar in scope; realizing who you are and sacrificing self for love.
Not a Movie But Greg The Bunny The Fox Network puppet show aired for 1 season but the title character became mildy popular Icon appearing on MADtv and Cartoon Network's Duel Masters and I think the show got a revival on IFC In 2006 or something but It's been over a decade so I don't remember
Death to Smoochie was a wild ride of a movie.
Disney's revival era was really good
First 3 movies are my childhood.
Emperor’s new groove, el dorado, and osmosis jones all three movies I absolutely loved as a kid
Road to El Dorado is a highly underestimated gem... as Gnomeo and Juliet...
The villain in osmosis jones reminds me of the villain from treasure planet .
My brothers and I were obsessed with emperors new groove. We had it on vhs
Walk Hard is a masterpiece 😂❤
I love Almost Famous
I really like it, too. Did you ever catch the "Roadies" series? I was really enjoying that series when it was airing as it reminded me of Almost Famous. Bothered me that it was cancelled so quickly.
Walk Hard is one of my top favorite of all time!! I love the soundtrack so muchh
I saw Almost Famous when I was seventeen years old a good movie then and now! The soundtrack? Incredible! Worth checking out!😃
Walk Hard is the most underrated film of that era. Who hasn't seen Almost Famous?
Video renamed "Don't trust the critics dont trust the box office, just watch yourself and form your own opinion" if you like it, fuck it, you like it
Donnie darko is by far the best on the list
I saw Osmosis Jones at a drive in movie theater when it came out. It was awesome
I love what you do
Emperor's New Groove is my favorite Disney movie!
Walk Hard is the Spinal Tap of bio-pics...
I remember my dad took me and my sister to see life aquatic in theatres, I had to have been 8 or 9, and I had no clue wtf I was watching . Today it’s one of my all time favorite movies, ever.
Almost Famous is my favorite movie of all time :)
I really like it, too. Did you ever catch the "Roadies" series? I was really enjoying that series when it was airing as it reminded me of Almost Famous - until they just suddenly cancelled it.
The Life Aquatic? That stunk at the box office when it first came out? I thought it was unusual but, interesting!
OKAY? like how tf is the emperor's new groove not considered one of the best Disney cartoons ever, SAME FOR THE ROAD TO ELDARADO WTFFFF
Emporers new groove, the road to el dorado and treasure planet were my childhood favourites and speed racer is one of the greatest movies ever made
Walk hard / emperor’s new groove is some of my favorite movies
Osmosis jones was so good! Maybe I was in the age group but I loved that too
Emperor's New Groove is hand down my favorite Disney movie, till this day. And Emperor's New School is still my favorite Disney TV Show as well.
TOO THIS DAY.
TOO THIS DAY.
Side note I am shocked to know Osmosis Jones was a bomb.
Both that movie and its tv show are in the same boat as Emperor's New Groove to me.
Some pretty good ones. Emperor's New Groove :) Haven't seen it but it looks like such a sweet movie :) Laughter and enjoyment guarantee. Osmosis Jones,Road to El Dorado,Ali,Donnie Darko,Punch-Drunk Love,Walk Hard,Speed Racer.Seem like nice recommendations. Good video
Emperors new groove is one of Disney's best movies.
@@codyscards6698 it is :D
@@codyscards6698 If you like dry comedy (like I do) then definitely.
So legitimately the reason that emperor's new group didn't do well is cuz it was originally supposed to be two or three other films that all got smashed together last minute because of a voice acting opportunity that they didn't want to let escape😅
I was 13 when this came out and it was the perfect PG-13 comedy for an adolescent! An all-time classic.
Emperor’s new groove is one of my favorite movies!
Life Aquatic really is an amazing film!
Looper is my favourite content mill
New Groove and El Dorado were both great
Osmosis Jones was so good!
Osmosis Jones was amazing and still is
.... It don't matter... office Space is now in anybody who knows what's funny's top three movies
I forgot about speed racer I loved that movie
The Emperors new Groove didn’t fail
It nearly doubled its budget
Idk anybody who didn’t like it
Emporer's New Groove got a dvd sequel and a tv show. it was all pretty good. only the death of eartha kitt brought it all to an end
i recall some discussionabout whetheradam sandlers character in punch drunknlove is clark kent or superman i dont tecall the trsolution
Can you do a video of geaurge Lucas unrealized projects
At this point Disney's success rate is about 30%
Everyone misses The Grand on these lists of missed movies from the early 2000s. I’m genuinely surprised it hasn’t taken off as a cult classic.
Children of Men flopped? Damn. It was a great movie.
Dewey Cox is a comedy gem. Get out of here Dewey Cox! You don't want no part of this shit!
How did it cost 60 million to make Almost Famous. ? Anyways, I love that movie
Idiocracy is good..
Thanks for including the underrated Disney masterpiece that is Treasure Planet. But Osmosis Jones should've been left out of this list because it's an awful movie. So it deserved to flop hard.
The public passed on Almost Famous. The public is dumb and sucks
Walk hard is one of the best movies made
Treasure planet is top tier Disney. So is Atlantis the lost empire
"A Christmas Carol" is way too actiony to try to justify the 3-D. Moments that should work as drama are instead turned into chase scenes. My family watched it for the first time this year and it was simply a headache and way too over the top. And once again: the uncanny valley still hurts it like every time Zemeckis tries this, even if it's far better than the near-unwatchable Polar Express.
Revovler was a good movie
Lady in the Water is great if you watch it as a comedy. I saw it in theaters with a bunch of friends and we laughed out butts off!
Idiocracy was never given a chance to flop since the film infuriated it's sponsors and they pulled the film before it could hit theaters.
I tripped across that movie a few years ago and couldn't believe I'd never even heard of it. Great humor.
Idiocracy's best part is its opening that explains why the dumb people reproduce like rabbits and the smart people are struggling to make maybe one child every two generations. Unfortunately, the movie has the problem of most dystopias (like Wall*E) where the moment you try to figure out how it even works it falls apart. The people appear too stupid to even make a car or run a store. The plot is very weak and peters out. (And honestly, if I have to hear how the pro wrestler being president is predicting Trump one more time... ugh.) Idiocracy is a movie I want to like, but I totally get its failure. Extract is bad, too, FWIW, whereas Office Space holds up as a genius work whose failure was totally due to marketing. Judge's scripts need more doctoring to get there; you really can't blame them all on bad timing or marketing. And I say that as a fan of his successful works.
dewy cox and a christmas carol are great films i also liked(not on he list) holmes and watson , a lot of people hated it i loved it
“I’m cut in half pretty bad, Dewey!”
“We gonna light us a candle tonight.”
“Oh, so I’m a cheater, but you can just go and drink up all the milk!”
“You’re mother was wrong!”
“You know whose got hands! The Devil! And he uses them for holding!”
“It’s medication for erectile dysfunction! It gives you a boner!”
“The wrong kid died!”
Walk Hard, The Dewey Cox Story
I could go on for days, but then I’d just be typing out the screenplay.
Idiocracy is one of my favorite comedies it literally predicted the future of America. Almost famous, Donnie darko and mullholand drive are in my top 10. Osmosis jones is amazing bill Murray is so good, treasure planet was great I have no idea why it gets so much hate. The version of Peter Pan with Jeremy sumpter is the best version. Anything by Wes Anderson is a fave, The Happening is supposed to be campy and silly no one understands it, it’s actually perfectly done much better than lady in the water. Children of men was great too. The Jim Carey Christmas carol isn’t my favorite (the muppets) but it’s definitely worth watching every Christmas. Critics and most viewers ALWAYS get it wrong. Think for yourself and you’ll find a ton of movies that are incredible that everyone else dislikes
I thought Almost famous did well. Its was loved by everyone i know who watched it, and it was critically acclaimed and Oscar nominated. And i wanted to like Ali more but it was so slow and bleak
You glowed up the cartoons a bit much, for my taste.
It appears your movie taste is much like that of the Oscar-deciding panel.
Speed racer was one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen
Yup. Terrible in every way. I can't come close to getting through it.
@@smgdfcmfah my boy bet me $20 I couldn’t sit through the whole thing is the only reason I watched it
🥈✌️
Punch Drunk Love was horrible.
Y’all r stinky if you liked live adaptation of one piece
Donnie Darko sucked. I know people like it, but I've tried watching that movie many times and always fall asleep. The rabbit is stupid too.
It's one of those movies that's ALL about the twist. If you don't know the ending, then try to get through it (it is a WEIRD movie). If you know the ending, it's already ruined.
All of these are ok except for mulholland drive it's the worst movie ever made.
Very boring - poorly written in my opinion.
