At the peak i was on the water it was already 60+ knots gusting just a bit later it was impossible to keep riding the storm topped at about 70 knots. It was the strongest storm in 40 years in the Netherlands.

What size kite are you using,, I was on a 9m at Cabo de la Vella in Northern Colombia in 27-30 knots, I had to change my underwear twice

Different locations in the Netherlands, Denmark and South Africa. The biggest jump was in a location called Workum in the Netherlands

I have seen kiters jump much higher..... thing is, they didn't live during the landing.

Might be the highest recorded jump. Not the highest. Nope. The highest jump(by 11 feet) was on the Columbia River gorge). Yip. Riding high on a thermal updraft.
Зачем писать "jump” если к прыжку это не имеет отношения? Это практически параплан. Да он меньше и чтобы подлететь нужно уметь это делать. Но это не прыжок как на трамплине, где ты подлетаешь за счёт енергии разгона. Это просто кратковременный полёт. Завтра он сделает крыло чуть больше и будет "новый рекорд"

@@romansavchenko2285 катался на сноуборде с таким. И без него. Конкретно это не прыжок а полёт. У прыжка есть физические характеристики, определяющие его именно как "прыжок", это кратковременный полёт с подскоком. Хз ещё как сказать
Прыжок на кайте происходит из-за использования энергии натяжения строп, по сути ты прыгаешь как из рогатки, когда переводишь кайт в зенит и изменяешь направление вектора тяги. И если не делать кайтом верные движения приземление будет очень жестким, ты не можешь на кайте спланировать как на параплане. Нужно делать кайтлупы
Еще кайт не умеет планировать. Если параплан смоделирован таким образом, чтобы создавать стабильную подъемную силу пригоризонтальном движении, то кайт, это крыло, главной особенностью которого является то, что оно может быстро изменить вектор силы, ты можешь прыгнуть на 10 метров, сделать кайтлуп и направить себя с ускорением вниз

While it's really easy to do a low jump of 1-4m with a kite in a bit of wind, it takes a ton of technique to jump high. In strong winds like that it is very difficult to keep your edge engaged enough to powerfully pop off the water.
