Loved Warren and Allen in the Alllman Brothers. When they kicked out the first record....it was a must buy. Outstanding band...everything is so fierce. Guitar tones are unreal. Riffs second to none. I love Matt's drumming. I think he might be my favorite drummer since John Bonham and Phil Rudd and Butch Trucks. Must be someone else in there that I am forgetting, but Matt is a monster. What a song...what a band. Bravo boys.

One of the first Mule tunes I heard, roughly 20yrs ago ... SO good. These guys have such an incredible sound. Check out their new songs "same as it ever was" and "dreaming out loud". In this day and age, they actually recorded it to TAPE. Blew my mind all over again.

They gave me some Thorazine at the psych ward after a Mule show at Redrocks. I’d taken too many 🍄. I had the keys to the car so my buddy rode down in one of the bands buses. It was the highest high and the lowest low. Warren was on fire and I had to negotiate out of a felony for possession. Let’s be careful out there! 🍻
I am not the best with the lineups of Mule. Woody, (Allen Woody - bassist) died. Matt Abts is the monster drummer on the Gov't Mule records. Maybe there is some other drummer you speak of. Otherwise, I will ignore the name used and agree that Matt Abts is the hardest working drummer in history trying to keep up with Warren.....however, in guitar player circles....Warren is highly regarded as one of the greats and is far from underrated. He does deserve more accolades....but he is not underrated.
It's 12 beats with up beat quarter notes. But it can be broken up differently. I do wish someone on TH-cam would put up a tutorial tho, because there is literally ZERO on it anywhere.
Anyone ever done the Thorazine Shuffle ? If you don't die from too heavy of dosage of thorazine and you manage to finally escape the fkn' nut house. Then You will really appreciate this song. btw, the keyboard solo does nothing for this song. it does not fit. Let that Bass Run ! RIP ALLEN WOODY

I was a Navy Corpsman in the early 70's spent some time working with psych patients. The Thorazine Shuffle was real thing a real sad thing.
And to think back in the sixties it's what they gave people having a bad LSD trip. Just thinking about it is a nightmare.😮
