- A great rendition of Mother Earth (Originally on "Gov't Mule"(1995)) from the second set of the second DVD, filmed in Chicago, 12/09/2006.
Matt's drum chair collapses halway into the song, but he keeps it together very well, the show must go on, ain't it!
Warren Haynes - Guitar & Vocals
Matt Abts - Drums
Andy Hess - Bass
Danny Louis - Keyboards and Backing vocals
Couldn't find the Lyrics, I'm sorry, if any of you has them be so kind as to send them to me, please.
Warren's rig is a tone monster. It just goes to show, that without tone and touch, your just another "plain old player". And to top it all off, he's a very honest and humble guy.
There are not a lot of guitarist's out there who are at this level. Hard work really pays
off. Keep it up Warren. You really inspire my playing!!
Warren Haynes is a national treasure.
I love these guys. Warren is one of the all time greats. I don't see many people comment on the drummer, Matt Abts is also very good. Watch him toward the end of Thorazine Shuffle.....he's amazing.
Matt's the best!
this got to be one of the best displays of talent i've seen
As the kids today would say...sick, that's just F'n SICK!!
Awesome!
What a song, I love this, it's rock "n" roll blues at it's best. Brilliant song from a brilliant band.
The G Spot of Blues.
Warren's tone is amazing.
This song was written and first recorded by Memphis Slim. Great cover!
the most modern guitar hero we will ever know!!
When he flips it down to the bridge pickup around 7:05 it sounds so damn nasty! This may be Warren's best live performance I've ever seen.
great great guitarist but he doesnt get enough credit for his singing...what a voice!! the total package.
yep credit from me in the fullest. 1st time i heard him sing with the Allmans i was like , this man sings from his heart & soul. never looked back.
And one damn hard working musician! A true pro! Been lucky enough to see them 11 times. Never disappointed once
I love this blues!!!
I love this song!❤🎸
Anybody ever wonder why this is NOT on radio daily?
Had no idea until today that this is a Memphis Slim cover!
Addictive Blues this is....awesome
Absolutely Amazing!
A real TREAT!! Thanks from Stockholm!!
Tracy Nelson sang this song the first time I heard it. Her band "Mother Earth " was a real favorite. Loved it then and love it now.
OMG! This is Blues at it's finest...
+1.......it can't get any better for sure
simply awesome
@4:28 Matts seat breaks, Lance fixes, Matt doesn't miss a beat
Great song with a great message performed by great band. This is a Memphis Slim song off of Gov't Mule's first album.
Makes me breathe!!!!
Great!
the man knows how to make a guitar sing,laugh,cry...
Warren feels it so well.
This sounds like it could be an old grand funk tune ,specially with that heavy bassline
WOW, mentioning Grand Funk was like, WTF! Mel Schacher was and still is a great bass player. But this is not Mark Farner on the guitar, man. This is Warren. Warren Haynes. Soooo, not "sounds like an old grand funk tune". Too funny Gary Dreyer. Too funny.
@@vicferrari89 Just my opinion man don't scrutinize me it's only rock and roll
Damn!!!!!!
more like hell ass fire damn !!!!
Warren is in my Top 10 Best Players in the world. Maybe top 5.
Burn it Warren !!!
Magnifique !!!!!
You may high hat me all the time
You may never go my way
Mother Earth is waitin' for you
That's the debt you got to pay
I don't care how great you are
Or what you're worth
When it all comes down
You got to go back to Mother Earth
You may own half a city
Diamonds and pearls
You may have your own airplane
You may fly all over this world
Don't give a damn what you 're worth
When it all comes down
You got to go back to Mother Earth
Play the horses, baby
You may own the race track
You may have enough money
To buy anything you lack
Don't care how great you are
Don't give a damn what you 're worth
'Cause when it all comes down
You got to go back to Mother Earth
You may high hat me all the time
You may never go my way
Mother Earth is waitin' for you
That's the debt you got to pay
I don't care how great you are
Or what you're worth
When it all comes down
You got to go back to Mother Earth
