9/10 times that a wad is added to the hall of shame, it's because it's an awesome wad. 90s wads are peak power. Some simply cannot grasp their nature, however...
The other day, Costa complained about a modern-looking, well-chiseled sculpture of a WAD that was severely cramped and lacking in equipment compared to the persistent threat of fighting Barons without the comfortable safety of a well-stocked rapid-fire weapon. It was but one level that evoked the same tension that Romero did in SI6IL but through all the worst ways and for all the wrong reasons. Here, we have the exact opposite, where you have all the running space and all the gear, and you're still fundamentally miserable because you might actually survive every encounter. This isn't even Sturgeon's Law. This is why the internet gets into debacles like "The Review Reviewer" accusing someone of being Trans (Iron Iiz, I believe), stumbling on a true positive without thinking. The fallout was dramatically encyclopedic. I'm not saying you fellas deserve such attention but, sometimes, you're getting there. As for the WAD itself, it doesn't play as poorly as you think. This one is from 1996, Costa's was in the 2000's at least and the latter somehow regressed, mainly in failing to account how Source Ports treat WAD data (e.g. the doors are misaligned!). Also, Whereas Costa's slog left little room for mods, this one does. Several for GZDoom can multiply the number of creatures and others adjust their initial health, facilitating ridiculous slaughter scenarios if you wanted. If your baking is dull, you could always add salt. It's flat-out impossible to remove salt after the fact. And for God's sake, there's a billboard of the USS Enterprise NCC1701-D firing photon torpedoes at you!

Why Windows 95 and NT 3.51 bitmaps as textures? They are way too out of place!

The main problem of this level is that it's long, making it boring. Just try to play this wad by yourself, you'll see what i mean
