Yes this is the first track from Operation Doomsday. Well technically 2 because there is a skit before it. This was the introduction to the Metal Faced villain.
@@ABoomerReacts I love this song and this album. When this was released I did not know Doom was Zev Love X from KMD. I loved this album and the use of the old Fantasy 4 clips. Telling the origin story of Dr Doom and himself MF Doom.
@@Stuck-n-da-90snice POV You can definitely hear Zev in this…with a different flow die to different beat dynamics. Always stacked lyrics into bars, but his time off made him sharpen it. Sounds like he was exhibiting the pain he felt during his absence. Alot happened to him during the absence. Then he took the hip hop world by storm with lyrics that need to be heard numerous times…and every time you grasp more and more of what he tried to get through.
Well, the first two songs i ever heard of DOOM's were singles, and they're off this album. "Dead Bent" and "I Hear Voices, Pt. 1", which both have music videos, also. The latter piqued my interest to check out his catalog, even though the catalog at that time was just that album and EP with MF Grimm.
The chaotic BDP sample serves as a juxtaposition of the Smooth Sade sample and chorus. Brilliant in my humble opinion. This song has a twin song on another album (MMFood) that also uses a Sade/BDP song combo as its foundation. Both songs mention his deceased younger brother as the main motif (Kon Karne if interested in reviewing)
Hey! new to your channel, Already loving the videos! I recommend a song thats 100% worth listening to, it's called Lawtown, it's a song by the late rapper Scientifik, he doesn't really get much recognition but if you could react to the song at one point that would be great! Much love
Agree to disagree about the scratching. the lyrics were hard, a lot of prison and 5% talk. mostly talking about his relationship with rap, boasting, that he wrote this in Prison, dropping knowledge, etc ,basically he's on the mic until he dies.
I have asked for it before but I really wish you can react to current Wu-Tang songs like Claudine which came out late last year. Is definitely a great one.
Haha the intro is epic, but this is really timely. I am sure you will realise that the album has Frank Sinatra songs in there, back in 1936 when the song was the main reason to show the boogaloo frolic
I've never been a fan of MF Doom even though he was known as your favorite rapper's favorite rapper. Not that he was bad or anything I personally just don't like his delivery it's like he would only sound good in a syfer
😯... have you ever listened to any of his Viktor Vaughn stuff? .... i feel like doom is an acquired taste... , when I first listened to him I wasnt sure ... but the more I listened, the more references I caught and Hes def one of my fave rappers
He was one of hip hop’s greatest wordsmiths..he’s with his brother now RIP ☝🏼❤

And what do you think of the song?
Another classic Brian. Nice work

@@walking_on_MARZ Thanks!
A Banger from Wu tang Clan is Intoxicated. I recommend reacting to it, I think you will really like it.
Thanks! I'll add it to my list.
I fall asleep to Saffron, the instrumental of the song
Like an hour long version. It puts me at ease
Love this song
Nice! That's the album with all the "herb" songs, right?
@@ABoomerReacts I believe so. I love many of the instrumentals in MF DOOM songs honestly and regardless

Thanks, Jeff! Were those singles better than this song?
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I agree about the scratching always seemed an awkward fit on this track. The scratching is actually a sample from BDP's debut album.
Thanks for the info!
doom is like that, querky and sometimes annoying. But is a vibe. It gets to grow on you after a while.
Incredible

Thanks for the info! Kon Karne is def on my list.
This is the first song I think of when I think of DOOM 👍
The scratching part actually samples Boogie Down Productions Poetry.
Does BDP use it as much in Poetry as MF DOOM uses it here?
@@ABoomerReacts yeah that's actually straight from the song. DOOM just redid it

Thanks for tuning in! That song is already on my list and your request just bumped it up. I'll schedule it in September.

Either unmarked or engraved, hey, whos to say. RIP the humble villain.

There are Frank Sinatra samples on Operation: Doomsday?
(Thanks! I had fun making that intro).
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
i wonder if DOOM is trolling when he fades the song out just to bring it back in, like u thought the song was over but he tricked u like a villain.
@@steppinonastoop677 He tricked me!

I'm not feeling the flow in this one. He can do better.
