It's funny because EOD has never actually paid out. You buy this limited edition (comes with all DLC) version and not once (arena is trash and isn't counted) given you value other than bigger stash earlier in the wipe and gamma.

It's a different game mode. Dlc would be patches, new maps, updates. Arena and single player is literally a different game. If you don't like it don't buy it... no one is forcing anyone to buy the new package all the tears because you're upset that you can buy another version of the game that makes it easier for new players. 1 single player is a different mode it's not in the game to this level, it'll require completely different servers (which cost money) there for it's not dlc. It's a different game that runs differently.

Within a few days of a wipe people can get anything that is offered in the package. Oh I got a fancy gun? 5 minutes into raid I get domed by a cheater it's gone.

Considering just this comment and not the topic here, imagine whinging about the cost of a game that gives you significantly more than an hour per dollar of fun and enjoyment. Games are too cheap, in fact if games charged more we would see faster development than we do now. Rack up 2-10,000 hours in a game and try saying it isn’t worth 250 bucks, you’ll sound insane.
It literally costs $60. No one is bending your arm and forcing you to buy the $250 product. If it's not for you, then don't buy it? Doesn't take away from the amazing value we've already received from a ONE TIME PURCHASE made years ago. Sure BSG isn't moving in a great direction, but they are a company after all that has employee payrolls to cover.

I totally agree, although I think it is something more for casual players who do not have the time or the ability, many of us enter a little late and many times we do not even finish before the wipe but it is for another simpler style of play

This is the bottom line. I do not care how many hours I've got out of Tarkov. I spent more than I ever have on any other game, ever, and was given a promise. That's the BOTTOM LINE. BSG has messed up.

@huggybeartv2030 Important note, you only need the standard edition to install SPT, then you can choose whichever edition you want to play with from the SPT launcher.

Lvndmark got confused. Co-op offline practice is in EOD and can be purchased separately. Co-Op PvE mode cannot and is not part of EOD.
@tkg__ Correct. EoD gave us Co-Op practice mode, which allowed us to go into offline raids with friends, but nothing mattered in that mode. Anything you did (Kills, loot, quests, etc) did NOT stick with your character.
This new PvE mode is the actual 'Single-player Tarkov' fans have been asking for. Where you can play the game offline with friends and properly progress thru the game without having to worry about PvP, people camping the extracts, etc, and they put it behind a $250 paywall lol

That “mark of the unheard” is extremely P2W. This aint even a small issue anymore. All scavs not shooting you over 60 meters away is a HUGE advantage to players. Like that is the definition for p2w mechanics in a game. next will be “band of the healer” where therapist heals players and feeds em for free after each raid. Honestly idc if they are not calling it a dlc. It is - by definition - content you download into the game and since they explicitly say 'all' DLCs are included when buying EoD one could argue that this falls under false advertising. Since BSG the company is based in Great Britain and sell into the EU they need to follow both Brtains and EUs customer protection laws which means that - if someone who bought EoD is suing them a judge could sentence then to a fine which could possibly cost them millions. And I honestly hope someone is willing to put time, effort and money into creating a lawsuit.

subsequent dlc and season pass is the same thing that was listed in eod purchase. With this I doubt it will remain like it evidently does not remain for eod version of the game.

The radio thing shouldn't exist at all and everything else should be unlockable through gameplay.
Otherwise, I'm surprised they haven't leaned more into unlocking skins or armbands or melee weapons etc for generating on-going funds.. maybe a season pass of skins/voice lines and the like etc

Makes me laugh that they say access to all subsequently DLC. Wasnt EOD already supposed to do that? Does that mean all subsequent dlc until the 350$ edition releases?
The funny part is they’re Russians who based their headquarters in the UK and who apparently didn’t think through how that opens them to legal troubles under the stringent UK customer protections laws. Because of the Ukraine war if they transfer their HQ back to Russia then they’ll lose access to western markets due to sanctions and effectively kill their company.
Deceptive marketing, let alone outright false advertising, is not well received by the governance of their trade commissions. My wife used to work with their governing authority on customer rights and said they’re very willing to enforce. They’ll have a two week period to rectify the customer complaints before legal actions can move forward but I fully expect to either see a change of course over that or class action lawsuits.

I played Tarkov for years with EoD edition, but eventually the quest grind and wipe cycles got quite repetitive. I don't like when game mechanics force me to play in a certain pace and if you start late during the wipe you are in a massive disadvantage and the big cheater problem is what drove me away. I play Tarkov at my own pace now. SPT Tarkov has amazing mods and it kinda reignited my enjoyment of the game. And I would suggest it as a learning tool for new players.

A similar thing happened at my golf course, where lifetime memberships were sold but then weren't honored after a change of owner. Only, in this case, BSG is still the owner and they're just telling you to go fuck yourself.
Did the lifetime memberships cost $150? Because if I got thousands of hours at a golf course for only $150 and suddenly they want $250, you must have been getting one hell of a deal!!

Sounds like 24 hour fitness. They offered a yearly membership for like 49.99 in the early 2000’s and it was never ending. They have tried ending that many times over the years and are always sued and always lose. Sounds like this golf course needs a good ol fasion class action
co-op practice mode is also with eod non of the other editions its where you can do practice games with your friends offline is my understanding of it
True, co-op practice mode is a feature with EOD. It is also a purchasable downloadable option for non-EOD players. The Progression version of the co-op offline mode is not available to anyone other than the Unheard of purchasers. Basically if you want to play offline co-op with progression then you need to pay $250.

@@kendov288 paying $150 for a single game, one that isn't finished (and likely never will be) or feature complete - is an outrageous sum to ask. Especially since most of what you get for the extra money is they remove a few inconveniences that they added to the game so they could sell you the solution.
Funny thing is, they won't add the Co-op PVE mode as a separate purchasable because if they do it'll be considered "DLC" and they'll have to give it to EoD.

Maybe now the Stay In Tarkov COOP mod to SPT will get even better stability now. Which would already be 100x better considering you can make that a completely customizable experience between friends. As one of the leading streamers for tarkov we really need you (and other streamers) to be the voice for us casual players to show how this is absolutely ridiculous. Not only is this a complete slap in the face to anyone who bought EOD, I would consider this edition to be pay 2 win. Sure EOD can be considered P2W also but I’d never imagine them making something better than EOD. This seems like a money grab for the time being and there’s nothing to stop them from making another edition in the years to come.

A lot of the videos I saw didn't mention scav junk box or I didn't catch it. That's literally massive. It's such a advantage for anyone who knows the game and items to collect early on. The first thing I do after wipe is get a junk box. Ammo box is huge but reasonable IMHO.
The cases pushed it in to insanity territory for me. No pay to win btw. 😂
@@Unknown-pc9yq It's really not that much. Starting with max stash size from EOD is the equivalent of being granted like 5m rubles. A scav box is only 1m not terrribly hard to get by level 15-20 and only holds certain items.

This game hooked me so hard on my first wipe (2020) I have been chasing that high ever since and a little over 4 years later I think I might be kicking the habit after this.
I stopped playing eft, put 1/10th the time into working out and now women look at me and know I work out. It took a while, it wasn't instant but I feel great. I've gotten much more into a social scene and made new friends. I think I escaped.

i think the solution to this is to entirely decompose this into its components and sell them as individual products, like the clothing, etc. so if you wanted to buy the weapon box and scav junkbox so you’d always start with one, you can. if you want the gamma and don’t have it, you can buy it. whatever. not a big deal at that point. the issue comes from an entire DLC being added without EOD players getting it as promised

I'm happy I quit 3-4 wipes ago. I quit after the culmination of constant desync issues, cheaters, performance getting worse each wipe and the invisible PMC glitch which could be done on purpose. I still watch gameplay here and there and enjoy that but this convinced me that there's no reason to come back since the good days are in fact behind us.
SPT is really fun and you can mod the game into your liking.

What I don't get is they coulda still released the Unheard edition for $250, but while giving the new gamemode to EOD. The people that want rhis are more casual anyway, they're not gonna want to spend that money, and this is PR suicide. What were they thinking?
So I bought EOD Edition, do I have to buy unheard edition now to keep my EOD Perks cause I dont wanna spend another 150 if I alread spent 120 on EOD...
Something like the Radio letting you not get popped by sniper scavs from far away may not be a "big deal, but it is a deal" is true, but the problems come when A) you get a bunch of those smae "its not a big deal" things adding up, and B) after people get used to that it makes it easier for devs to add in things that are more and more individually impactful until each one is a big deal instead of just being a pile of smaller issues.
The "Unheard of Edition" because I was unheard of ever playing a BSG product again after this scam.
There was a video I watched a while ago saying that BSG is broke because they spent too much money on showing up for Twitch-Con I think and microtransactions are now being implemented to try and make back money they lost.

This video is very important, the new edition is honestly whatever they have to make money but the price is ridiculous and the PvE mode needs to be given to all players who own EoD edition, extra items is stupid but doesn't matter that much, cosmetics honestly are the way they could make great money for the game without fucking over the playerbase, knife skins and camo patterns you can apply to weapons, more uniforms for our characters, arm band maybe even changing the camo for tacrigs etc...
The actual gameplay updates have been fantastic it's just they are going about making money in a really toxic way

According to another post by Nikita, Unheard edition owners can steal names from EOD owners. They have priority because they paid more.

In comparsion to other Games i played the last 8 years, EFT is worth every penny (EOD), now they want 90$ for a huge early game upgrade. I like it and i am looking forward to play the game normal, not grinding for cases early game, no stash tetris. This saves me hours if not days of grinding for "not gear". Everyone else, every new player, those who came late, those who didnt believe, have to pay more for gamma. Also Nikita mentioned something about hidden data, hopefully its another move against cheating behavior.
I'm thankful I bought Helldivers 2, it's been a lot of fun lately. No cheaters ruining the fun, zero stress, I don't yell and curse anymore due to SUS deaths in Tarkov. In helldivers 2, I'm making friends through voice chat, having a blast fighting aliens and robots for democracy, etc. Tarkov's dead for me.
PD: I have like 5k hours or more in Tarkov just to clarify, but there are always haters saying to get good and shit like that.
