Why would a company keep someone around who is unable to do the job that is required of them? Once the brother lost the ability to make deals for the company, I am sorry to say, he lost a lot of value to his company.

So it's wrong for both couples to work? I must have missed that memo, I think it's better if both parties work it's easier to save up money that way. How can Lori and Wyatt bad mouth somebody they don't even know? It doesn't matter if someone is a janitor or a CEO they both should be treated with respect just because they choose to work and take care or themself or if they have a family they are making sure they can survive this crappy world and are NOT leeching off someone else like Lori is, don't get me wrong they're is nothing wrong with being a housewife.
No matter how much you love your wife why would you let her treat your sister like that and join her in it I know people who can’t stand their siblings but will fight someone talking bad about them
Afterward: In a moment of unity that became increasingly rare after the wedding, Lori and Wyatt both decided that Tina was entirely to blame for what happened to them one day, and that they needed revenge against her. The diabolical plan they hatched was this; they told the police that Wyatt had evidence that Tina's husband's company was actually a front for a weapons smuggling operation that supplies to terrorists, and that he knew this because he used to be a higher up in a company that did business with them and was demoted because he knew too much. The hope was that since the government takes terrorism very seriously, even fake terrorism, a SWAT team would be sent to raid the company and slaughter everybody in the building. Thankfully, all the SWAT team did was arrest the higher ups, Tina's husband included and it was quickly discovered that the rumors were fake when the police went through the company's records and found no links to terrorism or crime whatsoever, allowing everyone to be let go. Not only that, but Wyatt was arrested for giving the police false information, which got him fired entirely, leaving Lori to become homeless.
false report, slander/defamation of character, wasting police time. Not sure what the trying to damage the company is called. But it would end up with a large amount of compensation being owed.
Your story would never work because before the police would send in the SWAT team the police would have done an investigation of the company. Now maybe they would have sent someone in to work at the company undercover but that would be the extent of it. Of course I will admit that your plot would make a more dramatic television show or movie, but in real life such a thing happening would be a disaster for the police department and the community leaders who allowed such a thing to take place.
In Japan, a marriage can be registered at the City Hall, without the formality of a formal ceremony, just like getting married by a Justice of the Peace here in the States. Later, a formal wedding can be held, with family and friends in attendance.
This happened a lot in North America during the pandemic - people had to cancel wedding ceremonies bc of public health regulations, so they decided to have the legal paperwork processed to formalize their union and then had a celebration once public gatherings were permitted again
My husband and I called each other "wife" and "husband" before our wedding day. Because we were "legally married" in the paperwork way even though our actual wedding "ceremony" or "party" didn't take place until later. Also, depending on where one lives, it could be a "common-law" marriage. If they've lived together as a couple for a certain amount of time, they are considered a common-law marriage. Friends of our lived together and had 2 children during the first 25 years of their relationship - and during that time, no one considered them "boyfriend" or "girlfriend" but "husband and wife". Their marriage 10 years ago was just a formality they decided to take care of as they got older and started thinking about legalities should one of them pass.

I would end any friendship with Tina. I know, I'm in a dissenting minority but in the part where she could turn her back on her brother Wyatt is where I draw the line in the sand with her. True enough what happened but it was the influence of his wife Lori, not his own mind and I know I'll get reamed but Biblical Scripture dictates my decision in this matter. Refusing to forgive her brother or keep her husband from harming her brother's career, she's committed a wicked act bounding her for the firey lake of Hell. I'd have to ask Tina to lose all my contact information and drop me from all social medias we are on in common or face potential legal action in a court of law potentially on criminal charges of harassment if she refused to honor my demand to cut contact and ensure her husband will not attempt anything against me or any of my own family because I would seek his arrest even if it was to her detriment socially and or economically (ie loss of income by her husband while detained). I am sorry for this long statement but I wish to ensure my reasoning is fully explained.
The Bible does not tell us to continue in relationships with people who have damaged us or are still damaging us, family or not. In fact, the Scriptures are full of teachings instructing us to leave relationships with wicked or evil people, to be separate from them, to shun, outcast, and purge them from our midst. (1 Corinthians 15:33, Proverbs 13:20, Psalm 1:1, Proverbs 6:27, 1 Corinthians 5:11, 1 Corinthians 10:13 - these are just a few). Parents and siblings are no different.
