RIP Flordia ( I feel so bad for Napier) they will take his job even though no normal coach could do good against that schedule.
Is Billy Napier better than Jimbo Fisher? At least Jimbo Fisher made a Bowl Game before he got fired
@@WangHungLowould be funny as hell if Florida hired jimbo
As a Georgia fan we hope Uf keeps Napier.
@@altonwestberry4356 Georgia should do well against Florida regardless
@@ammoniawilder4451 it could happen. Doubtful however possible
If we had the 5 power conferences reduced down to 4 that would be a more even playing field than the 12 team playoff. You can’t have a 4 team playoff with 5 power conferences and think we wouldn’t eventually end up with a situation like today.
I've seen so many videos saying Georgia's schedule is "BRUTAL." Crazy... they're pretty much playing Alabama's schedule for the last decade minus LSU and Texas A&M plus Texas.
I'm so glad to have Texas, OU, and no divisions. No more SEC East cakewalks...
Super excited!
Georgia's schedule is brutal because with the new SEC, they can't just play Vanderbilt, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, and Missouri every single year. Basically their only task was to defeat Florida and then it was a cakewalk to the SEC championship game.
@@dyingculture1 Just like Alabama’s only task was to defeat LSU and then it was a cakewalk to the SEC championship game. Arkansas, MSU, A&M, Auburn and Ole Miss have been cupcakes for YEARS. Y’all are the biggest hypocrites. Also, Georgia’s non conference schedule has aways been tougher than Alabama’s outside of this year. But yeah, keep on pretending Alabama plays some “gauntlet” of a schedule every year. I’m sure all the other casuals will believe you too 💀
Congratulations to 150k subscribers, ON3. Well deserved
OU and UT aint scared of the SEC both got winning records against that conference already. That bye week before Bama helps so its not that bad of a stretch.
I've been an OU fan since the 90's and we have a track record of losing after our bye week. Thats WHY im nervous. Give us the bye week before Tulane xD not Bama
@@PatriotParty im sure this is exciting for Texas and Oklahoma but as for us bottom feeders of the sec it’s not really the extra competition that’ll probably be an L that bothers me it’s just watching everything college football used to be about growing up die. I wish we could go back to the good ole days when only Georgia and Alabama paid their guys.
@NickPhelps-xh9cx it's not that exciting for Texas and Oklahoma. Us Oklahoma fans were perfectly fine with smashing the Big 12 almost every year and having a free seat from that. SEC is going to be much harder to be that successful. I agree sorta. It's bitter sweet. Power conferences is the future and I'm not opposed to it. Will way more fun to watch power schools have to have tough schedules every year and with playoffs expanding to 12 teams next year I'm in favor of that as well. I just don't like the transfer portal bs. Everyone's chasing money now in college
@dyingculture1 oklahoma has a much better defense than past years. We ended the season #1 in defensive turnovers. And our defense was a top 10 rank unlike past years. And Texas isn't to shabby either...
"We don't know what we don't know". That's what makes college football so great.
Brushing off Texas-A&M as a game that’s just “down the road going to College Station” is wild. That’s a blood rival that would like nothing more than to murder Texas and ruin our season. Kyle Field is gonna be a madhouse
SEC did OU ZERO favors with their schedule in the first year in the conference
Idk, a BYE before Texas and Bama is pretty generous I think.
BIG 10 and SEC are both super-conferences now. No one really gets any favors.
Yes they did oof
@@dougsmith1611 they also have byes before they play OU
7 home games and 2 bye weeks before massive games is generous.
I don't mind a 12 team playoff IF the SEC and BIG 10 didn't have all these massive programs. When Texas plays Alabama Georgia Oklahoma LSU Florida etc etc etc these game feel like they may be less special. When they had a rare meeting, it just means more. Why should Texas schedule Michigan after joining the SEC? Do you want to kill your players? It's already a tough schedule. I understand a meeting during the playoffs and 1 during the regular season but like this IDK. It feel less balanced. But that' just me. Next season Texas has Georgia and Michigan, Florida, Oklahoma. Boy that is brutal!
It’s not meant to be easy. For the best possible teams to be in the playoffs the best teams have to play each other to get there.
@justanornalintrovert514 You mean play each other again. Its a money grab! It was already difficult enough for a 12 team playoff. So playing Oklahoma and Alabama with a fairly good Big 12 and that's not enough to tell if a team belongs in a 12 team playoff? Come on get out of here. The 12 Best Teams already in the SEC and Big 10! Maybe 1 from the ACC. The BEST teams play each other in the playoffs or the conference championship. How many times do you people want these teams to play each other?
We scheduled Michigan a decade ago.
@firghteningtruth7173 sure a decade but still decided to join the SEC recently and rush it.
@@ImNotCatCourt and rush what? The date scheduled 10 years ago? 🤣
The Gators play 11 power 5 teams next year. I dont see anyone else with that brutal of a schedule
Yup! They need to fire their AD, Scott Strickland.
better than awesome is super awesome, the 12 team playoff will be super awesome
Hopefully good players will want to go to Oklahoma. They historically always do the best in the toughest conferences. I hate to see a school like that turn into a LSU or a Arkansas.
Dynasties come & go.
An LSU? At least LSU won the championship recently not like Oklahoma. Also has produced NFL level talent just as good as Oklahoma recently
I think we won't be seeing as many undefeated teams in these power conferences
Texas, Oklahoma in the west vs Alabama, Georgia in the east. The future looks interesting.
its gonna be hella hard to go undefeated
We got the hardest schedule in the country, nuff said. Time to put up or shut Florida no more excuses we have to compete or hate to say we gonna be looking at a new head coaching board
Not even close to hardest
@@keithgill9716 who is the hardest?
@@howardwillowAlabama has #1 S.O.S.
@keithgill9716 in the SEC?? u are tripping
@lilkkenny stop lying. For 24 they don't even have the hardest sec schedule. It's #8 right now.
Texas fan - I'll never be on board with 8 conference gamws featuring 2 group of 5s and an FCS. Thats so weak and how half the sec has cooked the books on records for years
Your going to find out how much harder an sec schedule is
@@deerhunter7420yulp
You will see after next year you will be wonting to go back to the big 12
Ok. since you guys have been playing 9 conference games that means you should go undefeated playing 8 conference games. 😂
These schedules are brutal. Yep, bowl game every week but SEC may schedule its way out of the playoffs.
There will be no undefeated SEC teams 😂😂😂
Only thing that matters is natty.
I'm working on a coalition to take our alum money to other sports, myself and others have spent to much money on good byes. Maybe softball and gymnastics we can keep some players.
Ehh, I disagree about the 12 team playoff. I like the format. It makes the season mean more, and it also gives more teams a chance, even if the final four teams end up being the same as usual.
Nah. 4 team playoff is wack
Everything happening in college football us awesome. They HAD to expand the playoff. I think conference realignment needs to go a step forward. The only negative is the transfer portal and NIL, its not even all negative with the transfer portal and NIL, they just need to reel it in a bit.
Hunger games is dead on!
Cmon JD, aTm was given a cupcake schedule just like their first year in the SEC. Ark also got away with an easier schedule.
This likely means aTm’s 2025 Schedule will be like Florida’s 2024 as it should be.
Texas will now have played Georgia more than aTm and Texas just entered the SEC.
We need to at least rename the conference. Oklahoma and Missouri will never be the south east. As a Tennessean though,I’ll let Texas count as south east, you get a pass because we go way back.
Let’s not go crazy. I can’t speak for Missouri, but culturally, OU is fitting. We may not exactly be deep south’s southern culture, but we’re receptive and not far off. Tx from its widest points is wider than the western-tip of Tx to the west coast of Cali, so there’s a lot of range & diversity there. Okla & Tx definitely aren’t claiming anything north or west!
Correct me if I’m wrong, but the SEC is the only conference where all the states touch
Anything less than 8-4 will probably cost Napier his job.
I hate that Texas moved to the SEC. I know being part of the Confederacy is a pre-req but even so. I’d like to see thr Longhorns play mostly Texas teams. That’s what was cool about the Big 12.
They should join China
I miss the old Big 12 before the last round of realignment. Playing teams (mostly) up and down I-35 was much more simple! And OU still got to play Nebraska…
As much as they hate the Longhorns, those other Texas teams are really going to miss those 8-figure home game paydays. A Longhorn ticket is usually the most expensive of any opponent's pricing & by a good margin.
That's how it was when the Longhorns were in the old Southwest Conference.
Back then every team in the SWC was in the state of Texas except the Razorbacks.
@@jeffccr3620 TH-cam needs to eliminate the Russian bots.
I know everybody is not too excited about the realignment but as someone who’s family has had ou season tickets since I was a kid it’s so exciting to not spend all this time and money for just the most boring home games possible
I’m a season ticket holder as well. Having Tennessee, South Carolina, and Alabama coming to town is so much more exciting than West Virginia, TCU, and UCF…lol
@@soonerborn7603 yea the home game slate was abysmal this year. I don’t care if it’s a tough schedule it’s really the games we want
@@noah_merrell8329 It’s just hard to get excited about some of the games we’ve had to sit through. I feel like the crowds will be so much better once we get better competition coming to town!
With 12 teams in the “CFP” Al-UGA in week 4 will mean nothing.
Just like Texas-Alabama in Week 2 meant nothing.
It’s been released since the fall 😂😂
Need a 24 team playoffs
December Madness? xD im down.
Bro, I just don't get how Alabama play the hardest games every year at home because the last time I remembered the last time Georgia played Alabama doing the regular season It was at Alabama. And nobody is tough on this schedule, but Georgia and Missouri because that Oklahoma game is not going to be good because Oklahoma is not that good. SMH
OU is good, LSU will be 7-5
Who drinks Icees at the movie theater? Weirdo..
lmfao texas playing georgia and michigan is an easy schedule?
Exactly they actually has a tough schedule all their rivals are on the road and Oklahoma and Georgia back to back
