Remember how I was downvoted on Reddit for wondering which or if both of Elphaba's parents would be black? "Race doesn't matter". "She's green". OK but she's green because her mother drank the elixir. There aren't other green people in Oz. This woman arrives at Shiz with micro braids and you see a flashback of her as a child with kinky hair and people still want to ignore or explain away the fact that THIS VERSION of Elphaba is at least half black. Of course race doesn't matter but you can't cast Cynthia Erivo and act like she's a white woman under the green makeup. Jesus Christ. They tried to say Nessa Rose wasn't bi-racial too.
