My late grandfather ( born in 1899 ) had this album. He’d put it on the record player and dance the Charleston all around the room. Wagging his index finger in the air and giggling like a child. Those were the days!

My uncle is right in front of the drum, George Probert. They used to play the city. Amazing stuff. Listening to his alto sax right now. Thanks so much for posting this.

George has/was toured in Swiss with one great Swiss "Firehouse Five" Jazz band. Nice guy, fine musician from which I learned hundred melody lines (I play lead guitar exactly the same notes ). Friendly wishes from France (near Swiss)Jo

@@joluttringer4450 Thank you for the update. Is he still alive? In the 80-90's I lost both my other aunt and uncle, and cousin, to cancer. I lost track of Uncle George as well. IIRC, he lived in Pasadena, and I was in Hawaii. When the family died, there wasn't much reason for him to come up, that I knew of. Plus San Francisco and North Beach changed.

This has to be one of the earliest stereo records sold. The mixing was intentionally crude but spectacular.
