Hey rugrats…been a minute again here since we’ve posted. I’m kind of blown away by utr’s recent reception. On one hand, I’m so grateful for what’s been happening, but I also see how quickly the important stuff can get lost in the hustle and bustle.
I know my little team. I know their designs. We want to be the absolute best songwriters we can be. We want to make our rats feel a little less alone in this sometimes upside-down world.
So, in the spirit of all that, we flew in from new york and carved ourselves a day to write some new songs (in between tour prep and follow-ups and customer service inquiries and merch and messages).
I hope you all know how much you, and the music, means to us. I hope we show that with our choices and actions.
Anyways, this song is about change. This whole new album is about change in many ways-how terrifying it can be, how irreversible, how linear. Everything has a cost, it seems ;)
