I just got back from Walmart buying a new vacuum cleaner, and this video popped up in my feed, and should've just done this with a 120 volt AC motor so I could plug it right into my wall socket. lol! Good Job.

I used this tutorial to make my vacuum. Only modification I made was driving to the store and purchasing a dyson. Works great!

I love this! FYI the links to the 12v motor no longer lead to a purchasable motor. Matching size/battery w bottle cap size seems potentially... tricky. ;)

It has a removable, cleanable filter, and the motor & impeller are on the clean side of the filter, which makes it already far better than most of the 'diy vacuum cleaner' projects I see, though I'm a bit worried about the impeller rubbing on the inside of the bottle-it might wear through it.
