Bravo to your winter camping adventure. Cheers to your resilience and preparation for the cold weather. I took a 7 mile hike with a 42 pound pack on a hot east coast morning in the states. I use an external framed backpack by Exo Mountain Gear. For me, the all around comfort of the hip belt and shoulder harness works well with heavier loads. Many of the light weight packs are meant only for light weight hiking. They are not able to carry a ‘happy’ supplied pack. There is certain quality survival gear that I require. These items have more weight and are more durable than the lighter material products on the market. But, that works for me. Accolades for your good temperament and tolerance to nature’s weather tricks. Thanks for the beautiful views. Be well. Wishing you peace and good fortune ahead. Happy Trails!

Would like to watch more of your vids but, if I'm honest, they do seem like one big advertisement - (i know it's what TH-cam is now). When I first tramped up this way, we wore hand knitted woollies, and I braved a fierce rain storm in a pack liner with holes cut for my arms as I'd accidentally left my raincoat at home! Can do this without branded stuff but doubt the knitters would pay much.

I thought about getting the staika but I decided that allk would be sufficient. It has a few design updates and slightly different design I think. You can get 10mm poles for the Allak if you think you need it. All depends what conditions you are using the tent it. So far I love the Allak very sturdy and a good size for two peole

Love watching your adventures. I’d like to offer a little bit of constructive feedback (even if it wasn’t asked for). I really like watching the hiking/backpacking/camping. It’s very ASMR. But the constant gear plugs is totally opposite of ASMR. There are pieces of gear that’s been fun to identify, like the Biotite lantern and the Fenix headlights. I love both brands. I understand that sponsorship helps to keep these videos coming, but I’d hate for you to abandon your original (target) audience. With that being said, try to get your hands on a now discontinued Biolite light called the Sitelight LX. It’s a “China ball” style LED light that’s perfect for both ambiance and video.

There are some rules you can find online. Mostly it’s ok unless there is a fire ban in place which is often the case in summer

Hey I don’t make Asmr vids not my thing. I have always talked about gear I use it’s a big part of my enjoyment while camping. Plenty of fully Asmr vids out there. 👍
