- A tribute to American cinematographer Bradford Young. Known for his work with directors Denis Villeneuve, Ava DuVerney, Ron Howard, Edward Zwick, Andrew Dosunmu, JC Chandor, David Lowry, and Dee Rees.

Beautiful stuff thank you for this. Question - how does one set-up a capturing system to get such clean HQ video into their editing systems like this? If it's a secret-sauce Q no worries, just curious about how one might ingest Blu quality for super-cut purposes. Thanks again for all the amazing work.
Thank you. I try to rip directly from a blu-ray when possible. All you need is a blu-ray drive on your computer and software like makemkv or something similar. Only downside is that the files are really big. All but one film in this video is taken directly from the blu-ray.
@@nosearmy9304 cool thanks! I'm assuming I could figure out a work around with an external Blu player connected to my mac, but will troubleshoot.

Ay yo, nosearmy what's your favourite film score? I know you're more of a cinematography guy but your music choice for the background of these videos is always spot on. For me nothing comes close to Max Richter's On the Nature of Daylight, best score ever written/used in Arrival. What do you think?
Thanks. I try to put a lot of thought into the music. Sometimes the most difficult part is finding music that I think works well. As for my favorite film score, man, that's tough. I'd have to think about it.
