    Love your videos! I just have one thing to say about this one. Though I do agree with being wary of early signs of arterial dysfunction in the neck area, I do not think that risk factors would mean that we do not treat said patiënt. Arterial dysfunction is one (very rare) of the numerous reasons for neck pain. It might be just my interpretation, but you seem to suggest that we do not treat patients with risk factors for their neck pain until they have been checked fot arterial dysfunction.

      Hi! Thank you so much for your message - you make an excellent point and I do agree with you! I suppose the consideration is always patient specific … E.g. if they had said neck pain with headache and had BP of 190/100, I’d be seriously considering referring to A+E
      But as you also correctly say… if situation is much less severe than that, we may still be able to give some exercises but also very much referring patient to GP saying we want it investigating ASAP alongside physio.
      Thank you for your message 🙏🏼

    Patient with vertebrobasilar insufficient normally will show all of the symptoms of 5Ds&3Ns, or some of the symptoms (maybe 1-2 of them) appear, we will suspect there is a VBI?

      Hi Jane - or as the video says, they may present with none of them! 5D’s and 3N’s are late signs , and therefore we may need to look for earlier signs as mentioned in video

    So arteries deliver oxygen ? If this is disrupted what can u do?

    • @ClinicalPhysio
      @ClinicalPhysio  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Joshua! That is correct, arteries are vessels which travel away from the heart and thus red blood cells in arteries are oxygenated
      If this is disrupted, it has to be treated depending on cause… E.g. if there is a clot or PE, it has to be treated. So depending on the cause of disruption
