I'm just going to say this but the B support in Japanese is way more preferable than the English one it doesn't make Henry hide his past pain or saying people got it all wrong but just shrugs his shoulders and presson hiding his real pain.
This couple is OTP for me. They have excellent synergy and they're cute as hell together. Its fun using them as a combo in the backline since once you grind Olivia up to be a decent sword user its well worth it.

Interesting. B is pretty much objectively better in Japanese, because they drastically toned down how dark that “school” was. A is basically the same between the two versions. I think C is probably the most different. The Japanese version has Henry basically just wanting to put the dog out of its misery, whereas the English has him legitimately wanting to heal it. S is... a bit shaky in both versions, though there’s far worse in this game. With how much his love of animals comes up in other supports, I honestly do prefer the localized version of Henry in this conversation, though the extra details that were left out of B would be great to have.
I think the localized A support also gets dragged down by the localized C support, since the parallel between Olivia saving a dog when Henry thought said dog was a goner and Henry saving Olivia when Olivia herself had thought she was beyond saving is gone
Amazing how one little change to their S COMPLETLEY altered the tone of this support, and not only that, RADICALY changed Henry's character. I know some people preffer Henry this way, but I don't. This is probably the only pairing I preffered in Japanese. I won't say any more. I encourage people to read the Japanese version, not to force my opinion on them, but just to see just how different it is.
The reason I personally preferred the English version here is because it depicts someone who can't tell one emotion from the other. It didn't change Henry's character, it changed his ability to realize he was sad all along. His smile was real to him and so he thought he was happy with himself.
I think if I play through this game with a different avatar I'm going to pair him with Olivia, then it'll make sense for Olivia to be cursed since she'd probably receive it from Tharja.

Savvylee Some people might look at the fact that henry was smiling just to hide his real personality, and the fact that he's definitely one of the more violent members of the army, to mean that he is a legit psychopath like how in today's world some psychopaths actually do hide their real emotions, and thus some people will outright take offense to that and say that it's sending a bad message to kids. I know, very stupid reason, but very unreasonable changes have been made to japanese games in english localization before just to avoid any potentially offensive material... no matter how unlikely the material is to be offensive.

OliviaXHenry (English Version) FOREVER!!! Olivia is like Fluttershy and Henry? Dude, he's Henry! This is by far my favorite pairing in the game, next to Female Morgan and Brady (sorry, the "bear gizzards" line from that one made me laugh so hard!) I just like how Henry actually seems to care in this one... like, it's not all fun and games and he's really serious about protecting her. Despite being AWESOME, that seems to be missing in a few of his supports.

Interesting. B is pretty much objectively better in Japanese, because they drastically toned down how dark that “school” was. A is basically the same between the two versions. I think C is probably the most different. The Japanese version has Henry basically just wanting to put the dog out of its misery, whereas the English has him legitimately wanting to heal it. S is... a bit shaky in both versions, though there’s far worse in this game. With how much his love of animals comes up in other supports, I honestly do prefer the localized version of Henry in this conversation, though the extra details that were left out of B would be great to have.
I think the localized A support also gets dragged down by the localized C support, since the parallel between Olivia saving a dog when Henry thought said dog was a goner and Henry saving Olivia when Olivia herself had thought she was beyond saving is gone
Amazing how one little change to their S COMPLETLEY altered the tone of this support, and not only that, RADICALY changed Henry's character.
I know some people preffer Henry this way, but I don't. This is probably the only pairing I preffered in Japanese. I won't say any more.
I encourage people to read the Japanese version, not to force my opinion on them, but just to see just how different it is.
The reason I personally preferred the English version here is because it depicts someone who can't tell one emotion from the other. It didn't change Henry's character, it changed his ability to realize he was sad all along. His smile was real to him and so he thought he was happy with himself.

I know, very stupid reason, but very unreasonable changes have been made to japanese games in english localization before just to avoid any potentially offensive material... no matter how unlikely the material is to be offensive.

OliviaXHenry (English Version) FOREVER!!! Olivia is like Fluttershy and Henry? Dude, he's Henry! This is by far my favorite pairing in the game, next to Female Morgan and Brady (sorry, the "bear gizzards" line from that one made me laugh so hard!) I just like how Henry actually seems to care in this one... like, it's not all fun and games and he's really serious about protecting her. Despite being AWESOME, that seems to be missing in a few of his supports.
