Blow up enough expensive equipment and eventually the US wonders if the conflict is worth all it is. Same weakness applies to over hyped programs like the F22/F35 which are unsustainable in a modern conflict due to their cost and upkeep. Why else do you think we built so few of them and barely use them.
Fun fact: There once a pilot who "stole" a Chinook with some teammates and ammo to help the police kill a former marine who killed tons of police man and while people for days.
