Thank you so much for watching and for the wonderful comment. If it helps, everyone has different preferences when it comes to editing software. I tried many different ones and finally decided that Magix had the best software for my style of editing. I started out with their Magix Movie Edit Pro Premium software (it is on sale right now by the way) then a year later I wanted to do some higher end stuff so I went up to their Edit Pro X (their professional version that you would not need if you are doing solely TH-cam videos). On Saturday we are releasing an Eagle Scout Tribute video where we use special effects that comes with the software. But again, editing software preference is personal, so try the free versions and go from there. You will make the right decision for YOU.
Also, no matter what editing software you decide on, resist the "need" to buy add-ons and "upgrades" unless you absolutly need to in order to get a project completed. A trap I fell into at first. :-)
So great it comes with a spare battery and HDMI cable, as anyway most of the people would like to have it and there is no need to spend extra money :) this microphone looks cool :)
Really Helpful video. I am a instruction reader type... I like to have them in print. I am searching for a manual for the camera- only one inclosed manual came for the microphone.. and it is tiny... need a magnifying glass to read the print. Any ideas where I might be able to download instructions similar to yours.. thank you

What app did you download for this camera? I cant find the app in my app to work on my iphon rx. They said download action camera app but i the only one available in app is wfi action app and action camera app and non is working. Any suggestions?

@ResslerMania I know I'm responding in 2020 but I'm just curious were you able to get your remote to work. I have this camera I just dont have the mike or a touch screen but all of your buttons are ok. It took me forever to open the battery department on the remote control I wanted to see how it opened it was stuck so I had to use a penny and a hair clips to try and get it loose I could see what kind of batteries it takes. Let me know if you have advice on the remote thanks for sharing.

Thank you for your comment/question. Since I have no direct line to the company (I purchased it like you did), I had to look into it. My understanding is the newer versions have a way to change the times between 3, 5, and 10 minutes but cannot turn it off. My older version is around the same as yours but as I said in the video, it does not bother me since I only shoot in smaller increments anyway for my videos, since I shoot in "independent media" style. Sorry I could not give you better news.
Can u help me with the microfon, how do i activate it? my camera is the same as in the video but it is 4k ultra hd and it is having a microphone by default and when i put the external microphone , it doesn`t have any sound

I bought the newer version of this a few weeks ago and still trying out the settings. They are not explained in the manual so you have to play in the menu where you can advance through by clicking on the bottom right arrow to scroll forward or to go back the arrow will be on top right.

Hey man, so I got this camera little while ago and recently bought a Rode mic. But for whatever reason the rode mic is not working with the camera, any tips?

The mic that came with was a powered mic (charged by a USB cable). Make sure the RODE mic you have is powered. That is the only thing I can think of. Since this video, there have been two series upgrades to this camera so the information I have may now be obsolete (I do not and never have worked for the camera company. I am a consumer like you). So my friend purchased two digital video camera 2.7k. I've noticed several out there actually have the brand on the camera. I am trying to find out which sd card is compatible with it.

As you can see from the time the video was made, I have a slightly older version so I cannot attest to the newer version but can't imagine much is different other than the new version has higher resolution for the camera. With that said, my camera could be powered externally even though I never used it that way. The battery replacements can easily be found on Amazon or your local battery warehouse type store. To keep costs down these companies use standard battery types but are probably a slightly different style than my older one. Unless you buy the camera with a bundle that includes a card, you will need to purchase a separate card. As with any digital camera, the higher the resolution you expect to video, the faster the data rate of card you will need. Hope this helps. Have a GREAT Day.

Sometimes the seller makes updates to their Amazon page. This has happened a couple different times but unfortunately there is nothing I can do about that. Usually they update with a comparable item as they did with this item.

I have never had that problem before. You SHOULD be able to take out your SD card from the camera and play it on your compter without any issues. IF the SD card does not show any data on it, then it may be a corrupted SD cared and not the camera. Just a wild guess though. Sorry I could not be of more help. Hello. This video is from 2018. I have since upgraded to a Canon R10 and sold the DVC Camcorder. From my memory, the only identifying markings on the camera was the DVC logo. I always assumed that was the manufacturer as well. Perhaps a Google search will unveil a more accurate answer for you. Sorry I could not be of more help. Have a great day 👍

To be honest I cannot give you a real world analysis of the battery duration due to my video style. When I am out on a video shoot, I have different cameras for different situations. I also video tape a few moments here, then a few moments there. I turn the cameras off in-between since I am not sure what dynamics I will come across next, thus what type of camera to use. I CAN say that with my shooting style, I have not had any issues with the battery not lasting through my shooting schedule. Hope that gives you somewhat of an answer. Have a GREAT Day.

Do you want me to recommend a small portable camera, like an action camera? This might be good for prank videos because you can conceal it a little better than most other cameras. If so, I would probably recommend the Osmo Action camera if you can afford it. It is very versatile and has two screens (one in back and one in front) where you can set up your shots very easily. So my friend got this camera and she has a problem with it and I canlt figure it out either. It shuts off at 51 minutes 47 seconds. No matter the size of the SD card and the battery is not dead. Any ideas what it could be? Thanks!

Sorry to hear that Erdeana Ward. The video recorder in THIS video is a lower end recorder but it has performed well for me so far (as long as I remember to turn the microphone on. HaHa). You may want to double check your battery first. It may only be the battery and not the camcorder. If you have the money, you may want to look at going with a decent action camera like the one I show in this video: th-cam.com/video/rLLEhvwi0rc/w-d-xo.html . So far I am really enjoying it and it has been my primary camera, it just has no zoom like any other action camera.

Why does my videos stop recording around 8 minutes 50 seconds, and automatically start recording a new clip? Anyway to fix that?

In the settings. You have to turn on the audio recording.
I bought the newer version of this a few weeks ago and still trying out the settings. They are not explained in the manual so you have to play in the menu where you can advance through by clicking on the bottom right arrow to scroll forward or to go back the arrow will be on top right.

Hey man, so I got this camera little while ago and recently bought a Rode mic. But for whatever reason the rode mic is not working with the camera, any tips?

The mic that came with was a powered mic (charged by a USB cable). Make sure the RODE mic you have is powered. That is the only thing I can think of. Since this video, there have been two series upgrades to this camera so the information I have may now be obsolete (I do not and never have worked for the camera company. I am a consumer like you). You can charge the battery thru the USB port just like a regular cellphone

Optics on most cameras have a difficult time recording text on TV or computer monitors for some reason though. So my friend purchased two digital video camera 2.7k. I've noticed several out there actually have the brand on the camera. I am trying to find out which sd card is compatible with it.

As you can see from the time the video was made, I have a slightly older version so I cannot attest to the newer version but can't imagine much is different other than the new version has higher resolution for the camera. With that said, my camera could be powered externally even though I never used it that way. The battery replacements can easily be found on Amazon or your local battery warehouse type store. To keep costs down these companies use standard battery types but are probably a slightly different style than my older one. Unless you buy the camera with a bundle that includes a card, you will need to purchase a separate card. As with any digital camera, the higher the resolution you expect to video, the faster the data rate of card you will need. Hope this helps. Have a GREAT Day.

How do I take photos and keep it on photos

You may have an updated version than I do but all I HAVE TO DO is press the ZOOM in/out buttons on top of the camera. It will then save the image to your SD card. Sometimes the seller makes updates to their Amazon page. This has happened a couple different times but unfortunately there is nothing I can do about that. Usually they update with a comparable item as they did with this item.
If it's a review; keep it to a review, this was a video manual and a vocal list of the specs which you actually can read yourself.

I have never had that problem before. You SHOULD be able to take out your SD card from the camera and play it on your compter without any issues. IF the SD card does not show any data on it, then it may be a corrupted SD cared and not the camera. Just a wild guess though. Sorry I could not be of more help. Hello. This video is from 2018. I have since upgraded to a Canon R10 and sold the DVC Camcorder. From my memory, the only identifying markings on the camera was the DVC logo. I always assumed that was the manufacturer as well. Perhaps a Google search will unveil a more accurate answer for you. Sorry I could not be of more help. Have a great day 👍

Can you tell the duration of the battery???

To be honest I cannot give you a real world analysis of the battery duration due to my video style. When I am out on a video shoot, I have different cameras for different situations. I also video tape a few moments here, then a few moments there. I turn the cameras off in-between since I am not sure what dynamics I will come across next, thus what type of camera to use. I CAN say that with my shooting style, I have not had any issues with the battery not lasting through my shooting schedule. Hope that gives you somewhat of an answer. Have a GREAT Day.

Do you want me to recommend a small portable camera, like an action camera? This might be good for prank videos because you can conceal it a little better than most other cameras. If so, I would probably recommend the Osmo Action camera if you can afford it. It is very versatile and has two screens (one in back and one in front) where you can set up your shots very easily. So my friend got this camera and she has a problem with it and I canlt figure it out either. It shuts off at 51 minutes 47 seconds. No matter the size of the SD card and the battery is not dead. Any ideas what it could be? Thanks!

My camcorder wont turn on
Sorry to hear that Erdeana Ward. The video recorder in THIS video is a lower end recorder but it has performed well for me so far (as long as I remember to turn the microphone on. HaHa). You may want to double check your battery first. It may only be the battery and not the camcorder. If you have the money, you may want to look at going with a decent action camera like the one I show in this video: th-cam.com/video/rLLEhvwi0rc/w-d-xo.html . So far I am really enjoying it and it has been my primary camera, it just has no zoom like any other action camera.

If you are referring to the SD card that came with the bundle I bought, you can buy it separately if you did not purchase the bundle. Also, this video was done 6 years ago. Some of the newer models have built in microphones and have a small internal memory that can be used for photos, or very short video shots in the event your SD card is full.
