I think you should make it your own. Name the garden from your heart. You will see Jess in the garden for a long time and I'm sure she inspires you but you should make this your own. I live in a house from a similar situation as yours. When I would try to change something people say that's not how Mrs B would do it or Mrs B planted that on this special day.... I've lived here 20 years and I still don't feel it's MY farm. So pick a bush, rose, whatever and call it the Jess and Miah rose or area but make the rest of the farm "Jill and Nate's Whispering Willow Farm".
Someone suggested the Promise Garden for the raised bed. I love this. Jessica planted all her promises and wishes in the garden for herself and then for you and now you are planting your own garden as a promise to continue her good work as her friend, a lover of food growing, and a steward of the Earth 💝
As a person that goes to a food bank every week thank you for donating because opening a box and getting fresh produce it is just wonderful so THANK YOU again 👏🤠
Was a little weird seeing your intro in the kitchen after seeing Jess there so many times, but I’m sooooo happy to see you guys are finally living there! 😁❤️
For the raised beds I really like the Raised Rally beds or the Rally Raised beds! (Rally: to come together for a common purpose). Bc when I think of you, Jill, and your farm I think of you as someone who brings people together by gardening to help others. I’m so excited to follow along on these new adventures with you! Thanks for sharing 💚🌱
Pollinator Hedge... The flower garden ! It burst with bees and butterflies. 4 Seasons ...for High Tunnel ....its always blessing you. The Garden Lounge... Main garden... It's where you invite us in... You tube, your on hands learning with your community...your class room. Can't wait to see all you achieve in your new yard... Main garden.... ✝ 🙏&❤.
How fun is it to walk through your new gardens and just have an abundance waiting for you?! Trying new foods and cooking with them would GEEK me out! Sometimes seeing something new is just so inspiring to find new recipes. Good luck on naming your areas, I think that's a GREAT idea! Can't wait to hear what you've got in mind ♥️
I always used to see a lot of dragonflies in the videos in the raised bed garden, so how about The Dragonfly garden? Maybe you could find some garden decorations and wind chimes that have them!
As God wills, it is so. I feel joy watching your vlog, Jill, more than usual. You're still in my prayers, also, all the Homesteaders of America. Pray for them. We have power and strength in prayer.
Small packages have big punches... It's funny how gardeners can feel and tell the changes of the season. I stepped out yesterday morning and told the family you can feel fall coming. They were like in this heat. Yep, sun is setting earlier and dawn and dusk have a cool breeze.
So, I named my garden beds this year, to help direct my family where I need help. I like to make them puns.. So my garlic beds were Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter. :D
Aji Charapita is my favorite pepper on earth and yes it’s hot!! I love that they are so tiny, I just pick them and toss on top my food, no having to slice!
Candy Cane peppers are another variegated variety of sweet pepper, very similar to Fish Peppers. There is variegated corn, jalapeno-like peppers called Jigsaw, Nasturtiums (I'm pretty sure Jess had some planted), Moon and Stars watermelon have speckled foliage, and there are quite a few variegated lettuces and greens out there. I may just have to interplant with more of these as I find them, they are sooo pretty!
I learned from a friend who lived in India that sugar instantly neutralizes the heat from hot spicy food. They cook a lot of extremely hot foods and they keep sugar wafers on the table that you put on your tongue to cool your mouth. Also, when I’m making banana peppers I add a couple of the small hot peppers to give them a little spice.
Raised bed garden should be Friendship or FriendsGarden. The majority of us have become connected to Jess and family and you. And it is a great place for growing relationships.
Someone else had made the comment to pick one spot and dedicate it to Jess and Miah and then make the rest of the farm for you and Nate. That part should be called the Friendship Garden. It can represent the awesome relationship between those 2 very special families. Just like Jess has her Weeping Willow tree.
Thank you I enjoy your videos. Milk will take away the heat from any pepper. I love your new home and I can't wait to see you and Jessica in a video together again.
Jill, I am so sorry at how hard I laughed when you ate that pepper. I knew how hot they were, but, dear, you just didn't listen when I was telling you not to do it! 🤣 love seeing you in the garden making it your own. Enjoy making it your own without reservations!
I agree with the person below that suggest you name one raised bed after Jess and Miah. After that let us all move on and watch you and your husband make this property your own. I for one look forward to learning from you guys.
Girl when you tasted that tiny little devil of a pepper and made that face and said you got lit up LOL I was going to give this video a like anyway as I do all your videos but for anyone watching and maybe just tuning into ya for the 1st time or something...that right there is definitely worth giving this video a thumbs up little lady LOL I am a spice sissy but every now and again for some weird reason I will crave me some hot wings. Not super seriously hot but mild but still they are spicy enough I get them lips of mine burnin LOL
I am a little tired of hot weather but not yet ready for Fall. I have pulled my potatoes, peas and green beans. I tried for a second harvest of green beans, time will tell. Probably I will re-plant peas. I have never really done much winter gardening, and don’t have anything like a tunnel or green house. Man, my Serrano peppers are too hot to eat! I am going to 3 day mail a bunch to my dad, he loves them.
Hi Jill! That pepper looked like an aji charapita to me! A lot of Peruvian hot pepper names start with “aji”, pronounced ah-hee, which just means chili pepper in Spanish :) I think those peppers are native to more jungle-like regions, so perhaps they liked the high tunnel if it had a bit more humidity than the outside gardens! Sending blessings from this gardener in Hawaii! (With a Peruvian step-mom 😉)
Your friend Lauren from Berkley Farm is such a joy to follow. I can see the two of you making such strong pathways forward with your gardening dreams right now. Thanks Jill for introducing her earlier this year.
My suggestion for the raised bed, Heavens Gate, Windows for My Soul for the cottage garden, and The Promised Land for the tunnel. These names really fill my heart and I'm sure you will understand where I came up with them.
Canned banana peppers, and sweet peppers, and onions chopped up and cooked into some scrambled eggs, or egg whites. Some pepperjack cheese, and bacon (avo if you have it) on toast or bagels or in a wrap. SO stinkin' good!
Love that you’re naming the gardens! My suggestions are. 1. Raised bed garden: prayer garden, Because it has the beautiful centre seated area… I’m assuming would be a great place for prayer. 2. Cottage garden: Jess’ Joy or joy garden, Because it was just full of lovely things Jess has planted and because that’s where you start all the seedlings for the Joyous summer! 3. The tunnel garden: The self-reliance garden… Because it is what it is self-reliance. 🌟Would you please do a video on mapping/zoning of the farm? Would love to see your thought process on that.💚thank you
Oh my gosh, I laughed so hard with your reaction to that pepper and then straight after you could tell how it got to your sinuses too!! Lit you up alright!!
We planted those Aji Charapita as well. It's a peruvian pepper, "world's most expensive" pepper. Hot but also citrusy! And they are very pretty in the garden.
I love peppers! Fresh, dried, pickled, fried, Hot, mild, spicy, sweet! Fruity, earthy I love the heat! There's not a pepper I won't eat... :) ~Idaho girl~
Check this out.. From baker creek.. Description of the aji pepper.. Selling for very high prices to Lima’s best chefs, this pepper is the most expensive in the world! The north Peruvian jungle native is a wild bushy plant which produces hundreds of hot, small (.25 inch), round Tepin-like peppers. The pepper has a distinct fruity, citrus aroma and is equal in heat to a cayenne pepper. Due to its rarity and hefty prices, it is often known as the "Mother of All Chilis" and is very hard to source outside of Peru. We are happy here at Baker Creek to bring such an amazing pepper to light! Used fresh, this tiny pepper is known to have a strong fruity flavor that gives salsas and sauces a unique tropical taste. More often, it is used as powder for various dishes. Baker Creek's Shannie McCabe and Deb Vlietstra found this variety growing in a pot in a Peruvian friend's house. Indeed, the Aji Charapita is a popular house plant in Peru, where the delicious peppers are harvested as needed right in the kitchen.
Chili patine are red & very small & my dad put them in vinegar till it’s hot 🥵 like a decanter & use for pepper vinegar on cooked greens. Really good 👍🏼
I grew aji charapita, too! They are cute to throw in with a jar of pickled peppers. Adds some spice to otherwise mild peppers. I don't think I'll ever eat one raw again, though, they are fire. You handled it very well for someone who doesn't like much spice, even washed it down with coffee! 😜😆🤗
Jalapeños are unpredictable, some are quite hot, but others are almost like a sweet pepper, so they are unreliable for heat. But Serrano and Thai Hot are always hot! They do have good flavor under the heat. Cooking them moderates them somewhat.
Take the shishito peppers and bake in a 400degree oven for 10 to 15 minutes. Spray with olive oil before putting in oven and sprinkle with salt. Eat them seeds and all.
Aternoon Jill.. I love the Sound of Rain. I had MAJOR FUL HIP REPLACEMENT 2 weeks ago. I have only seen iur Garden twice.. Hubs got Pics for me of our Cosmos and Zinnias and Beautiful Sunflowers. I have a long recovery.. I can't drive for 6 weeks x I gaf the Right Hip done a few years ago. I have an 8 inch scar. X They say when a Curry is Hot drink Milk not water lol x light me up that was funny x
I planted Shisito peppers this year at Jess's recommendation and I'm getting alot of them. Just wondered if you got them and how you cook and eat them. Great to see you taking over this lovely garden!
I feel like you should paint the cabinets in the kitchen and customize the area to your style. Dont be afraid to update the look of things so it becomes your own
I think you should make it your own. Name the garden from your heart. You will see Jess in the garden for a long time and I'm sure she inspires you but you should make this your own.

I like that too, but then, my name is Promise 😆
Wonderfully said!!
Yes!
The Refuge Garden for the cottage garden.
The Classroom for the raised bed garden.
High Hopes for the tunnel.
💚💚💚💚💚
Love those names💚!
Wonderful!
Love those!
As a person that goes to a food bank every week thank you for donating because opening a box and getting fresh produce it is just wonderful so THANK YOU again 👏🤠
The smaller the pepper the hotter the pepper in many cases.
Love the promise garden suggestion. Seeker Jordan's comment is so sweet. Really touches the combination of both the stewards of this garden space
A great name for the raised bed garden would be "The Garden of Eatin!" Notice not Eden, Eatin!!!
I love it 😆
Awesome idea !

Was a little weird seeing your intro in the kitchen after seeing Jess there so many times, but I’m sooooo happy to see you guys are finally living there! 😁❤️
It is a melancholy adjustment isnt it? I love Jill. Beautiful heart on this girl❤❤
I think something needs to be named, Inspiration garden, because many people’s lives have been inspired by watching it grow.
Raised bed: raising love
Tunnel: Heavenly Hollow
Cottage: wish haven
Raised bed: Rising Glory
Tunnel: Heavenly Halo
Cottage: Green Goddess
Pollinator Hedge... The flower garden ! It burst with bees and butterflies.

LOL...that pepper taste test was so FUNNY!!! Love your experimenting spirit.😂😂
im so glad this property is in your hands and that you are going to continue to share with everyone
I love seeing all your plants on the shelves inside!!! Piece by piece, you are making it yours :)
I'M NOT READY FOR FALL! BECAUSE BECAUSE AFTER FALL COMES WINTER!
Cottage garden- the Esther garden. Fit for a queen. 👸
I always used to see a lot of dragonflies in the videos in the raised bed garden, so how about The Dragonfly garden? Maybe you could find some garden decorations and wind chimes that have them!
I’d name your cottage garden the Friendship Garden as a tribute to the friendship between you and Jess!
It's so crazy seeing you walk off "that" porch with your coffee. What a blessing both of your families have received.
I think a big care package of tomatoes & peppers ought to go to the new Roots & Refuge farm for Jess & all to enjoy! ❤️
Yes...the Promise Garden for the raised bed. The Miracle Garden for the tunnel ' cause you can grow a long time in there...a real miracle.
Goober garden rolls off the tongue nicely 😂
As God wills, it is so. I feel joy watching your vlog, Jill, more than usual. You're still in my prayers, also, all the Homesteaders of America. Pray for them. We have power and strength in prayer.
Bless you for donating your abundance to the food banks ..

In so many peppers, the smaller the pepper, the bigger the bite. 😂
I think it’s lovely naming the different areas of your new farm 💕 makes it more personal 🌸🦋🌸
Friendship garden would be a good name for one, also Promise garden
So, I named my garden beds this year, to help direct my family where I need help.
I like to make them puns..
So my garlic beds were Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter. :D
“ cha cha ” for the hot pepper garden…
"What a goober!" I haven't heard that in a long time..lol
Raised bed: Bear's Garden. He loved that garden :-) Would be a nice homage.
Aji Charapita is my favorite pepper on earth and yes it’s hot!! I love that they are so tiny, I just pick them and toss on top my food, no having to slice!

Cottage garden name suggestion...
The Secret Garden after Frances Hodgson Burnett's The Secret Garden :)
Love that story :)
And then maybe plant things reminesent of the story :)

Raised bed garden - Beautiful Bounty Garden
Cottage garden - Peace and Hope Garden
Tunnel - Promise of our future garden
Enjoying your channel.
Looks lush and beautiful in the tunnel, love relaxing and watching in the evening after spending the day in my own garden. Thanks!
Cottage garden can be busy bee 🐝 garden
Thank you I enjoy your videos. Milk will take away the heat from any pepper. I love your new home and I can't wait to see you and Jessica in a video together again.
Jill, I am so sorry at how hard I laughed when you ate that pepper. I knew how hot they were, but, dear, you just didn't listen when I was telling you not to do it! 🤣 love seeing you in the garden making it your own. Enjoy making it your own without reservations!
The sound of rain is one of the best sounds ❤️

You have such a warm and magnetic personality! Love watching these videos and seeing you feeling right at home 🙏🏻❤️

I can’t wait to see Nathan try that little hot pepper !

Yes, I agree. I’m growing the Aji Pineapple
❤️
The high tunnel name "Willow Way"
Your friend Lauren from Berkley Farm is such a joy to follow. I can see the two of you making such strong pathways forward with your gardening dreams right now. Thanks Jill for introducing her earlier this year.
My hubby and I are in the process of naming our gardens.
It will help as we go through planning our planting space 🌱
Blessed be 😊
My suggestion for the raised bed, Heavens Gate, Windows for My Soul for the cottage garden, and The Promised Land for the tunnel. These names really fill my heart and I'm sure you will understand where I came up with them.
Hahaha is Jessica laughing at you?! It's happened to her so many times while she's been filming 🤣

Yum
High Tunnel: tunnel of joy
Raised bed: heavenly harvest
Rabbit pen: happy hoppers
Chicken pen: Peckers paradise
Seed shed: blessed beginnings
Love that you’re naming the gardens! My suggestions are.
1. Raised bed garden: prayer garden, Because it has the beautiful centre seated area… I’m assuming would be a great place for prayer.
2. Cottage garden: Jess’ Joy or joy garden, Because it was just full of lovely things Jess has planted and because that’s where you start all the seedlings for the Joyous summer!

Looking forward to some greens going in soon.
Jill your variegated sweet pepper is the Candy Cane, the variegated Fish is a hot one.
Fish is definitely 🔥
The raised bed garden I think “The Passion Garden.” The Cottage Garden maybe “ The Country Garden.” The tunnel garden, “The Sanctuary”.
Ooo I really like the Sanctuary
Hope you show Nathan trying that hot pepper!! Great video!
Raised hands 🙌 garden. As in praising God.
Oh my gosh, I laughed so hard with your reaction to that pepper and then straight after you could tell how it got to your sinuses too!! Lit you up alright!!
Maybe one of the gardens could be "Jill's Hope"
I couldn’t stop laughing when you said that lit me up about the pepper lol
We planted those Aji Charapita as well. It's a peruvian pepper, "world's most expensive" pepper. Hot but also citrusy! And they are very pretty in the garden.
30-50k SHU
Haha I just love you. The hot pepper had me cracking up. Your smile is contagious.
You name them whatever you want but I’d name that hi tunnel The Promised Land!
The St. Francis Garden would be cool because he's the patron saint of ecology. ❤️
Pickle them or can them and sell at farmer’s market! You can do it!
Thank you for sharing your pepperchini recipe. I grew pepperchinis this year and have been having a hard time finding a recipe to pickle them
The little peppers look like chiletepin. Maybe a variety of them? They grow wild in Mexico. We like to use them in salsa.
I love peppers! Fresh, dried, pickled, fried, Hot, mild, spicy, sweet! Fruity, earthy I love the heat! There's not a pepper I won't eat... :) ~Idaho girl~

Thinking here...the Tunnel of Love
So difficult to move a farm! I can’t imagine!
Glad to see you in your new home. I am continuing to pray for the sale of your other house soon.
Raised Bed: Garden of Friendship (Friendship Garden), Cottage: Garden of Hope (Hope Garden), and Tunnel: Garden of Peace (Peace Garden)
Chili patine are red & very small & my dad put them in vinegar till it’s hot 🥵 like a decanter & use for pepper vinegar on cooked greens. Really good 👍🏼

The sugar rush peach takes a very long time to turn peach color but worth the wait. So good!
Wild Heritage would be a good name for one area
Love all the peppers! I thought sugar rush was a sweet/hot pepper. Be careful! ❤️🔥
Jalapeños are unpredictable, some are quite hot, but others are almost like a sweet pepper, so they are unreliable for heat. But Serrano and Thai Hot are always hot! They do have good flavor under the heat. Cooking them moderates them somewhat.

Dry them out! I will buy them! The little yellow peppers!
Great to see you!!! And all the joy you feel being in that garden. Love the idea of donating extras to the food bank 🇨🇦💜
If you're not letting your Corbaci peppers get red, you are HIGHLY missing out on some massive flavor!
I feel like you should paint the cabinets in the kitchen and customize the area to your style. Dont be afraid to update the look of things so it becomes your own
She thought she was leaving you the food you want!
I had brain-swirl at the intro because the old house shelves and the new house shelves are the same so it took me a sec to figure out where you were 🙈
“Inspiration Garden”
U can always add more peppers 🌶 & more vinegar as u use the pepper vinegar to same bottle 👍🏼
