I love your loop videos. No matter what the situation, you always seem to find a way to cope, without lots of stress. At least that's what you show on camera!!! I'm looking forward to you completing the loop.
Welcome to Brunswick, Ga! I'm glad you were treated with Southern hospitality. I've been here all my life and stay in these waters because of the beauty and peacefulness.
I really enjoy your relaxing and humble videos. I’ve been around water my whole life. You are a luck man to be able to live your own life style. I can’t think of a better way to spend time with your pooch!. Take it easy and safe travels. Scott
Welcome to the lowcountry, where I have lived near Savannah for near 28 years. A unique place, throw EVERYTHING you thought you knew about boating out the window, a big tidal swing, and your can easily get lost in the labrynth of tidal creeks and rivers if you don't have a chart and a sense of direction! But hey, "thus far" it isn't wall to wall condos like Florida!
The intro song is a nice addition to the show. Navigation looks tough through there, you made it look easy. Youve got some new fans, last day on vacation with family and they chose to binge watch 6 or 7 episodes. Good times. Thanks Brenton & Wavy!
Great video. I used to work for the University of Wisconsin Center for Limnology. They would have a fall semester class that would go to Sapelo Island every other year for 2+ weeks. There's a lot of science that's been done on Sapelo Island. !'m probably the only one of your viewers that has a real interest in Sapelo Island
I live in Brunswick and I am familiar with the waterways. You did an awesome job navigating thru this area. Safe travels. Looking forward to the next one.
We have I believe the makings of a best-seller children's book about the Brenton-Wavey expedition narrated by (already we hear bits and pieces of this) and through the eyes of the indomitable Wavey. Children love dogs and adventure - poetic license allowed with Brenton's philosophical gems - while learning about the world around them.
@ratawai I wish people read books still buddy. Maybe an audio book ;) fall is starting here in the Northland of NA. Best time of year...I'm going to share as much as I can with y'all. Thank you for being a member. ;)
@@backwatersandbackroads I'm reminded and reminiscing about a favourite picture story book of mine when young called "Scuppers The Sailor Dog" a Wavey like dog who went adventuring, almost sank his boat by holing it, patched it up and continued on.
You are getting it figured out! One other thing about the tides is every full moon and new moon you will encounter neap tides for one or two days. The currents are not nearly as strong because you have shorter intervals between the highs and lows. Just something to study up on. I was watching the video and I thought you had misjudged it but then I realized you are traveling so slow your timing was perfect.
Love the music and that sly smile as you inquire about the "sounds of rain" on yer sea going Hooch. ALL THINGS CONSIDERED, life is good and YOU know it!
Great introduction song that should be on the radio. I love this episode because it shows the endless possibilities for shanty’s and gunk whole ing rich in seafood and resources that the Harlen could have lived off of. Oh the name for that mud is pluff mud if you’re lucky it will only digest your shoes and socks. It has a fragrance of its own if you ever have to walk in it take a 5 gallon bucket with you to push into the mud to help free your feet. My dog will jump into a lake face first but will not go out into the rain to relieve himself go figure.👍🐶
I know we are watching your videos quite a while after you’ve visited these places. We were sure hoping to catch you in person on your way through the Grand Strand of SC
I love this part of the country, Brenton. I learned to sail on Doboy Sound and the Altamaha River. We beached it on Sapelo Island to wait for the tide to turn. I lived there for three years. This is great!
I moved back in 2016 for my Dad.. LIved here from 1990 to 2000, Const, Towboat US and charter fishing.... After 2000 moved to the Spanish islands for 10 years.... Dad died... Taking care of mom and sis.. But going to do what your doing..... I have a dock maybe for the next year at Dover Bluff.. Need to find a boat similar to yours so I can do the same thing....
Being a New England boater, I used to buy an Eldridge tide and pilot book every year. Having the book in your hand is better than looking it up on your phone.. I guess your channel made it to the big time now that you have your own jingle😊
I live for the song! One of my "loungers" wrote me a theme song I used to use when we went live with games on Sundays!! I live for that song and adore that W is involved in the lyrics!
I found with small low powered boat, to wait for the tide to change. If you can do your time speed distance and wait to do leg that carries you one way and when it changes it carries you along the next leg.
Wait, I'm all caught up?? You dirty dog! How am I supposed to wait for new episodes after watching 47 at this pace! 😅 hoping to see my home town hilton head in the next few videos!
Great video my friend and to you and the guy singing the song and who ever wrote it it’s bad a$$ fits you perfect can’t wait for next video thank you for sharing
Every time I see you lug all those gas cans around I wonder why you don’t get one or 2 of those 15 gallon rolling gas caddy’s from Amazon? It would probably make your life easier. Love the adventures and the new song.
These tides are exactly why I'm hesitant to start my boat life on a sailboat in these waters with little knowledge! Floating down the river system seems like the perfect environment to train up so you have confidence in the crazy tides 🤙
@RamblinRoverMatt Thank you for the PP donation Matt. Sometimes folks don't turn on their reply buttons over there and I can't respond. Call/email anytime. I can tell you're going to actually do it;)

I been catching up on your vids and saw when the weeds were ticking you off ! Its true you can mow through then use reverse to clear it but if that was my motor and a mosquito landed on it I would thumb tack it to a tree and torture it lmao! You had us cracking up and we dont blame ya!
I just thought of something! I am constantly losing my reading glasses. I’ve bought so many packs on Amazon! If you lose your glasses, you know they are somewhere on the boat! 😂😂😂
That song just brought this channel to a whole new level.........
You know your making it when you get your own song👍 love it 🙌
You are not poor. You are rich with freedom and wisdom. What does anyone need more than that.
The shanty boat Captain and his first mate are turning into old salts reading these tide and how to use them, nice job.
Wonderful new song 🎶 Wavey is now a bigger star 🌟
You shared another great adventure

Beautiful; we call coastal GA and SC the “low country”. You can walk on “hard marsh” vs marsh (soft).

When it rains you can use the public boat ramp docks. No one is launching so you could walk the dog without a problem.
Love the new song! May you enjoy fair winds and following seas, my friend.
Love the song, Brenton & Wavy! And very good advice for newbies regarding going ashore safely.
My dad has some muddy bottom in his backyard pond in New Hampshire. He uses snowshoes when he needs to walk on it, says they work pretty well.
Pro tip on the ads on the gas pump: Often the second button down on the right side is the MUTE button. May vary according to the brand. Good luck!
