While I agree, this series has the benefit of essentially being season 6 to a cartoon with a long established continuity. A two hour live action movie is going to have difficulty being this level of quality while also establishing all the characters, unless they just make the movie assuming everybody already knows the characters
ye totally, should start off black and white in terms of ideals, characters grow to redemption and decent into immorality, all sides are understandable and feelings and motivations are justified.
This has gotta be the best solo Jean Grey battle sequence I've ever seen. The way she moved, the fight choreography. Outside of Phoenix stuff, she's honestly never been cooler!
Wolverines line was a reference to what Magneto said in the original animated series when the x men were going off to face master mold: "The brave are always the first to die"
This is the first time ever we see Cable actually using his power on TV or film! He can't really use it too much because he's constantly focusing most of it to keep the virus from spreading past his arm. I wonder if it'll spread now... 😭

This episode was the "Emotional Damage" meme stretched to 30 minutes long. I did start thinking about that 'finishing move' when they arrived on Asteroid M. I was curious why they sent Wolverine after Magneto when he has such a massive weakness. But that's how you get these seminal moments from the comics.
I watched this as soon as I got to work. I didn't read the comic so the shock of Magneto being stabbed and then the immediate reaction of seeing him rip out Logan's adamantium, I from through an array of emotions and I then I was on the verge of crying. The second half of the episode I was doing a lot of NOOOOO! But that last scene really did it for me. Sidebar, I freaked out a bit that Bastion's mom's sentinel form reminds me of Viv Vision, with her pink/light purple skin and light green hair. I do hope we get a glimpse in the last issue of how Doom protected Latveria from Magneto's EMP, and likewise Reed Richards trying to help repair the damage.
As soon as Logan stabbed Magneto, My jaw dropped and we all knew what was coming next! I began clapping my hands not because of what Erik did to him but because it was straight out of the comic! The way Wolverine was positioned and seeing the Adamantium coming out. Insane
This show supercedes anything the old series could do. Too many limitations before, not to mention the show is being made by hardcore fans now. X-Men '97 is everything I wanted the old series to be. The cinematic splendor, weight, and grandeur of this series is eXcellent. Doing proper live-action X-Men movies now will have a lot to live up to with this series existing.

Another amazing episode!! After today’s episode I’m convinced Jean returns as Phoenix in the final episode. All the hints have been there from constant mentioning of it, to being shown multiple times in the intro, and to Jean dismissing Madelyne powers with small Phoenixes on the astral plane in episode 3. Even Cable seem to have fire like raptor when his powers were activated against Jean. Love seeing how they portray her friendship with Ororo❤️. Sad but understandable the split with the team after what happened in Genosha. Think most of us saw this but surprised surprised Scott and Hank didn’t side with Erik from their previous comments. Hank I gather changed his tune because of what happened to Trish. From Demayo hint of a certain comic book is not surprising Wolverine Adamantium taken out but still horrifying this happened. Can’t wait for the conclusion next week!! Like many wonder if Onslaught is on the way😱
Yo ! Wont wolverine be able to heal much faster now that the metal is out of him ?? I wonder how much longer he can live without that metal poisoning in him that eventually kills him 🤔🤔
...question...what did Charles do wrong? The only person I feel was wronged you could argue is Scott... but also... Charles was shot and almost died... he didn't get a chance to discuss why he was giving everything to Magneto. Scott's right it should have been their decision... but it's not like Charles had a choice to go off to Bird Space. And what did Magneto do when he had control of the X-Men? Save humans and mutants together... went to trial and even w/ seeing Storm lose her powers in front of him at the hands of a human kept his cool... so I'm still not seeing the mistake here. Magneto didn't snap till he watched Genosha a country who had done nothing to anyone get destroyed for nothing besides a hate crime. Charles being on planet for those events doesn't change anything... Magneto leading the X-Men didn't cause this... this was going to happen regardless of anything... Cable tried to mess with it via time travel and couldn't... so... why is everyone like "YEAH BLAME CHARLES!" lol?
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS!!! Magneto did an amazing job as the leader of the Xmen. and he would have continued to do a good job if not for genosha. Charles plan was actively reforming one of the biggest villains in their world. it was magneto's words and action at his trial that got the un to formally recognize Genosha. that also caused genosha to flourish. had the attack not happened charles dream could have very likely come to fruition because of magneto. lets not forget he was made the ruler of Genosha. its the most natural thing in the world for a country to fight back when they are attacked. Magneto didn't start the war like wolverine suggested in the last episode he is responding to the war that was started on genosha.
@@sakisaotome6753 To be fair he DID start a war but it wasn't an unprovoked war. I didnt read the comics the comics, but at that last shot when magneto ripped out the adamantium I was screaming like a little child. That Show is hitting Hard. 10/10
Can we just take a second to recognize how absurd it is that the X-men even have a chance against Magneto for any reason other than he's going easy on them? Dude was holding up an asteroid that looks at least a few hundred meters across INSIDE THE ATMOSPHERE with his powers and this is apparently a conversational level effort for him, given the level-headed discussion he had with the X-Men while doing it. They should've gone at him when they had the chance to use Storm's powers.
They treat both Magneto and Bastion like equally dangerous villains though Magneto never did anything close to Genosha as far as I know. And then they splot the team. Seems stupid, especially after Charles' words that when Bastion is defeated, Magneto would agree to help. He had to know Magneto would go easy on them while Bastion would definitely not. They needed the whole team against Bastion alone, or try to talk to Magneto and get him on the side this time, but not in the way Charles could. He always mentions humans first, and Magneto is now allergic to them. I can't blame him for that.
I didn’t expect the adamantium removal until it was happening, either - even though I read the Fatal Attraction storyline where it happened. Also, love the Jubilee costume!
I've been all over TH-cam looking for somebody to actually notice in the opening credits, The people that are running away from the Sentinels are all Prime Sentinels. It's the little things lol.
Jean Grey's battle against Mr Sinister is maybe my favorite sequence of this episode. I swear to god Western Media never seems to know how to depict Telekinesis as a great ability to use in the field and Jean's use of Movement/Defense/Offense is so well done and a major upgrade to how Jean is usally potrayed. But Mister Sinister legitimately did not disappoint. His teasing of him knowing exactly when the swap between Jean and Madelyn occured was so evil and He was pulling out techniques that remind me of Naruto with him traveling through Shadows and Darkness and with his true Ace in the Hole being Cable the tragedy is boosted even further.
I am really hoping for onslaught in season 2 if they go this far why not go that far Eventually they could introduce the exiles to fix the events that led up to this world getting as broken as it is now
Funny fact,Magneto and Wolverine respects each other,Wolverine regret that he can't save Magneto in past they are have a big personal story. @@Kollieprime9 yes, and I don't see why. Is it so difficult for him to do what they ask for? Would be quicker and easier to do that and be left alone than fight them all. Unless he wanted a good fight.
@@Kollieprime9Bastion escalated things and now he will be blamed 😂
If only the current comics were as good as this series. X-Men ‘97 has been a real gift for fans of classic Marvel Comics and the MCU.
Why is Magneto getting all the blame? When he took over he went along with the peace, wanted nothing more than to have his people live happy lives. Humans declared war and murdered Genoshans. Then they were busy wiping out the remaining mutants. Should he just have stood by? WWXD?
Magnetos was is all humans must pay and thats not fair cause not all humans are bad same as mutants. Magneto never see s he does villain things and Rogue will see his way wont work or wouldnt be how Gambit would want things for people
But he is going too far ,it was Bastion who destroyed Genosha not humanity
@toamszkozak8822 and who was it that volunteered to become living sentinels to wipe out the remaining mutants?
@@MrNathansdad and how mamy of them joined Bastion ,few hundred? Do you really think that because of a few hundred people a 7 bilion people should die?Besides Bastion even said that not all of them were even aware of what they were becoming a part of
Bottom line. Those remaining will etch out a future for themselves.. just one without electricity! Candles and lavender, they'll be alright..😂
That last shot had me yelling at my tv.
I think everyone is forgetting that the Jubilee Motendo episode practically foreshadowed these last 2 episodes.
The comicbook readers was waiting with our eye's wide open.
As soon as Logan stabbed Magneto, My jaw dropped and we all knew what was coming next! I began clapping my hands not because of what Erik did to him but because it was straight out of the comic! The way Wolverine was positioned and seeing the Adamantium coming out. Insane
@@Majestic_SarubadoruComics95 cartoon Logan doesn't know he has bone claws so I can't wait to see that playout. (Please can we skip feral wolverine)
I dont give a fk who they go up with all the TV show awards this year. XMEN 97 IS THE SHOW OF YEAR!
They did the thing!!!! They did the thing!!!!!
Most nuclear power plants have heavy shielding that prevents radiation release. The real problem is when nuclear power cores begin to melt down.
Storm and Jean Grey are both my favorite
“This is gonna leave us on a huge cliffhanger, isn’t it?” 😂😂😂
😂😅

- Marvel vs Capcom: Clash of superheroes
So freaking happy you brought back your Jubilee outfit! You look equally awesome and adorable!
Wendy , pulling out the Jubilee cosplay, FTW!
I don't think I've heard Dustin come that close to swearing on this channel.
Wow we got blood and the ripping of wolverine at the end never though we would see that in animation forum . Man this series has blown my expectations are blown out of the water man they did such an amazing job on this show and next week season 1 is done and I’ll be sad but the big rumor is Spider-Man 98 is coming!! Oh and awesome jubilee cosplay heh
I think we're going to see the Phoenix come out with Jean and cable fight
It is probable and very effective that Onslaguth will be present. The most powerful version between the fusion of Charles and Mangeto. And without a doubt this chapter never fails to impact at a moment of high emotion!!!
Wendy Jubilee. I'm here for it!!
MAGNETO WAS RIGHT
I did not know how much I needed to see Forge and Beast get their geek on together.
19:18 They captured Andy's splash page perfectly
Gteat reaction review... The writers make us feel the emotional damage.. Yeah i miss Gambit also but the way how the morlocks and Leech died with Magneto was just devastating... When Magneto visualize Leeshs death that chit touched me too..
Magneto is right and he definitely tried
Mr. Sinister turned Cable into full on Dark super saiyan 2 like Majin Vegeta!!!
Like many wonder if Onslaught is on the way😱
OK, Wendy.... where's your bubble gum?😂❤
Yo ! Wont wolverine be able to heal much faster now that the metal is out of him ??
I wonder how much longer he can live without that metal poisoning in him that eventually kills him 🤔🤔
It's the fatal attraction series and the beginning of Onslaught
Yup.
Gambit, Jean, Wolfrine.... who's next? IMDb scores 9.7/10
i don't think jean is dead, logan neither
And even if Jean is dead, she does not stay dead because of the Phoenix.
...question...what did Charles do wrong?
But yeah fucking EVERYONE on the internet seems to be like YEAH CHARLES YOU GOT A LOT OF SPLAININ TO DO!!!! and I'm so confused by it... cause nothing he did caused these events... and him being on Earth changes 0 things. He would either be sad in the mansion or a corpse on Genosha...
@@sakisaotome6753 Magneto never was a "real" villain (like Sinister). His way was probably wrong, but he always fought for mutants. Charles had him start saving humans too, and he did what he could. And after all that so many blame him as well as Charles. Logan had no good reason to state Magneto started the war.
So how are we liking the main course. I mean the appetizer (E 1x5} was tasty but this will stick to our bones.😁
...unlike a certain metallic alloy
I can see Dustin easily persuaded by the dark side 😛
Love your outfit Wendy!!! Looking awesome!!! This show has been such a wild ride! I'm loving it!!!
Don't worry. Wolverine has healing factor. His bones will heal. He'll be back to bone claws.
Onslaught!!!
I didn’t expect the adamantium removal until it was happening, either - even though I read the Fatal Attraction storyline where it happened.
Also, love the Jubilee costume!
Jubilee costume awesome sauce 😂
We need a full length animated movie in theaters. The heck with the live action.
With onslaught coming we're defending gonna be getting more camoes from the avengers, fantastic 4 and other teams just to try and fight onslaught
Never seen Dustin like this. Loved it
I've been all over TH-cam looking for somebody to actually notice in the opening credits, The people that are running away from the Sentinels are all Prime Sentinels. It's the little things lol.
Love the Jubilee cosplay
The artist is really confused whether storm's cape is attached to her wrist or not.
I am really hoping for onslaught in season 2 if they go this far why not go that far
Eventually they could introduce the exiles to fix the events that led up to this world getting as broken as it is now
Funny fact,Magneto and Wolverine respects each other,Wolverine regret that he can't save Magneto in past they are have a big personal story. They are hated each other but in same way they are respect each other,like... that is personal... that's why Wolverine fights for what for he believes, for what it's right and finally to get redemption, and that's wh Oldman Logan exists, bcuz he is the last man!
18:57 that moment that fear he knew it was coming
Jubilee alert we got our Jubilee for Xmen casted
When I read the title, saw your thumbnail and was confused and thought: “wait, did Jubilee already move on from Roberto?” seriously I *love* your Jubilee outfit Wendy 😆😆😆
But in all seriousness … can we all take a moment to acknowledge how freaking _stupid_ Charles was the bring Wolverine to fight against Magneto, the guy who is literally the *Master of Magnetism?* Damn Charles I know you’re out of practice due to being royal for a while but sheesh 😒😒😒
Thanks for the brilliant reaction and hug your furbabies all 💙🐱💙
MORPH SMASH ‼️. So glad that this show got green lit for a 4th season 😂
After this, it may be a prelude to the arrival of Onslaught (by the by, loving the Jubilee cosplay Wendy!).
I didn’t like how everyone was just ready to kill Magneto 🧲 after everything he tried to do in Charles Xavier name is crazy. But I was shocked when poster boy cyclops Scott summers blasted Charles. Like what!?! All these childhood early morning memories are giving me life rn
It's sad that all Magneto did was in vain and everyone was ready to see him as a villain. But this is how it happens. Cyclops seems to start understanding something.
Cartoon logan doesn't know he has bone claws, so i can't wait to see that playout.
This was a great and crazy episode right here. And I love your Jubilee outfit Wendy all you're missing is the Gloves but Dustin you are so right about them pulling it right out of the comics when Magneto ripped the adamantium right outta Wolverine like damn Magneto should be in Mortal Kombat after that finishing looking move like wow. Too see 90's Hulk was awesome too. And to hear Magneto tell Charles to shut up was funny 😂. Awesome reaction you two I can only imagine how this season is going to end and how the next season begins
Wolverine with bone claws like comics omg chills i have that comic thank you writers please dont f it up omg us fans love it
God bless your reactions. This is how I felt watching it.
Wonder if Magneto will finally die after Logan empales, i think we need some major outcome for the price logan paid.
Also, infuriated with rogue's decision, she said that she have chosed a side but also she deny's it after de kiss (really hate this Rogue x Magento thing)
If Magneto dies, will the planet be saved? And agreed about Rogue. They had enough love geometry already, why retcon that part of their past. In the Animated series it would be impossible.
@@mariahbell2302 dunno, maybe his power will stop if the caster die or be in a coma state …
@@lordlegaia I doubt that. It looked like a finished act, and now they faced the consequences. He had to do the opposite act to stop it.
