Makes me want to definitely take the step from conceiving something to building an MVP and getting some factory to make a bunch in China or wherever and then marketing the heck out of them. Probably so much easier after you do the whole process just once.
Ooh, I love this idea with the influencer! If the influencer is an Amazon affiliate, would Amazon take the commission out of Jake's sales? If not, I'd totally do this too because the influencer has the potential to earn commission on anything else their referral buys without it costing the sellers (like Jake) anything. Hey Ryan. What would be your advice on distribution for individual retail sales of a relatively low price item ( £35 ) from the UK to the USA. FBA takes out too much of the profit margin. The only option I have at the moment is slow, individual item postage and the international postage costs per item are about an extra 3rd on top but the market for the product in the USA is much larger than the UK simply because of population.

I'm always suspicious when gurus discuss dollars of sales rather than profit. It could be $1M a day but if you're losing money you're not doing well.
