I love wonder as much as the next guy, but even I had a couple problems with it. Specifically with Yoshi being demoted to “easy mode character” and the lack of proper online like in 3D World.
I'm not really sure what you were expecting out of SMB Wonder? The common throughline for this video seems to be that it didnt live up to your expectations, but I'm not really sure what those are.
I going in I was expecting about what I got but I put if off to play spider-man and genuinely like everything I heard about the game was calling it the best game in years and “peak” genuinely it was fine and if people like it more then me I’m glad genuinely
This is one persons opinion, we are all entitled to our opinions. Graphically I liked it, overall playing feels a lot like other Mario games. Just my opinion

This game topped the already great NSMB videogames from the DS - Wii U Era (with NSMB2 being my favourite with the best mechanics and the whole 1 million coin deal), which I believed was impossible. This game combines the Super Mario 3D World levels type (short levels, but with multiple collectibles, multiple paths, etc.) and mixes it with great level design, challenges, badge mechanics, a new type of coin and the Wonder Flower which makes, in my opinion, each different level unique and iconic. You'll see this video in the future and notice how terribly wrong you were. By the way, in your channel I only see Nintendo games exclusively. Maybe exploring PC games and indie-like Nintendo games will change your mind about the industry. Try Gravity Circuit and Pizza Tower (spirit succesors of Mega Man X and Wario Land 4, respectively). I WONDER if your future videos will include further hardware videogame analysis. I'll subscribe and follow your content!
I don’t disagree that this is the beat even the best of NSMB and I don’t think I got my opinion out in the clearest way. I think the game is good just not amazing As for me only talking about Nintendo trust me I wish I could talk about indies. Rabi-Ribi (a bullethell Metroidvania) is one of my favourite games of all time and the dev is releasing a new game this month and I have had Pizza tower on my steam since it released (just waiting for a good sale) but sadly that doesn’t help a small channel like mine grow. Genuinely I still enjoyed Mario wonder and am glad people where able to enjoy it more than me
