@9:40, in the comics the Queen of Wakanda is picked from the ranks of the Dora Millejae. They are all essentially wives to the King. So that’s why the Queen is out there busting heads. They kinda showed that in the MCU when we saw the Queen out in the jungle being handy with a blade.
I knew Killmonger was going to screw Tony over, but a part of me was hoping their friendship had become genuine. In the main timeline Killmonger was so committed to revenge that he shot his own girlfriend so I should have known Tony didn’t stand a chance.
The others they could have left where they were, but this one definitely requires a sequel. Nothing was really resolved, neither the war nor an attempt to stop it.

This episode is clever than you think because Killmonger in this episode is manipulating the US into a war with Wakanda, in a very similar way the USA historically has created wars in Africa for their own benefit.
So, moral of the story: Killmonger is still a snake. Michael B. Jordan really has played a phenomenal villain in the MCU. I see why he's beloved by many.

All of what made him who he is already happened way before he met Tony. I meant this ending felt even more foreboding than Loki taking over Earth in the 3rd episode. Maybe because Loki wants to rule just to be able to say he is a king. I know what Killmonger is going to do and I know, despite his noble reasons, there’s no way it ends well.
@@sheerri The difference is that Killmonger can be stopped. He's just a man in charge of an earthen army. A powerful one but still nothing more than men. Loki had the might of Asguard backing him up. Its virtually impossible to overcome that even with Cap Marvel there.
@@Merilirem I’m pretty sure that Loki will eventually be overcome through a combination of descent in the Asgardian ranks (they never liked him in the first place) and rebellions worldwide (humans are not just going to idly bow to some alien overlord, no matter how hopeless a fight it is) as well as the New Avengers Fury is putting together (sidebar: the Einherjar suck, and get their asses kicked by everyone from Dark Elves to Hela singlehandedly). I got a more ominous vibe from this episode and Killmonger’s takeover than I did from Loki’s takeover. Loki’s villainous (sometimes) but it’s kind of a running joke at this point. Killmonger is very much not.
It's really crazy how some of this material hits now with Chadwick gone. Also, after this episode I hope they find a way to get Angela Bassett in on the action for real
The good thing about what if is every episode shows you the real out come and truth of what if…. If tony had met killmonger this is exactly how it would of played out sonnet or later killmonger would of killed stark. It’s crazy because as a marvel fan and being part of the journey this connects to the Loki series In a scary way.

It’s coming. T’chaka agreed with him and made him the Black Panther. He created a war the Americans can’t win. The expressions he was giving let us know he going to take him out when he’s no longer useful as revenge for killing his father.
Well it's not an accident you feel rage towards Killmonger. In and of himself he's no question a dirty mofo that's willing to do horrible things in order to get what he wants. But the way he was written in Black Panther Coogler made it so that you could resonate with him and his goal(s): black liberation. So there's nothing wrong with wanting equality or fighting for it. But then you can't have an audience side with someone as radical as killmonger -- it would hurt the status quo. So what do you do? Make him evil. Have him kill his girl and choke an old lady in Black Panther; and have him betray and kill everyone here in What If. That way anytime you start to think Killmonger has a point or worse, that he's completely right -- other people, mostly white people, will never let you forget the evil things he did so that you yourself won't radicalize. And so that you'll never truly fight for your justice. Does that make sense? So, in essence it's the writers that deliberately try to coax your perception to keep you in line more or less. Oh and to keep you stressed and angry but at the wrong people
Yeah, she's clearly not 6 in this episode. Shuri's age was never revealed in the movies, although Letitia I think said she perceived Shuri to be 16 while a producer said he thought of her as 18, but she's clearly not 6 here. She's maybe 12.
This was a really good episode, it was good to s see my girl Shuri and my boi Michael B. Jordan back as Kilmonger, he is a beast and one of the best marvel villains ever.... Wakanda Forever!!!

I doubt Kilmonger would become Black Panther since he’s dead and he started a whole war in Wakanda. So the only option would be Shuri to be Black Panther.
