The talent on show here is superb and has taken many many hours of blood sweat and tears.i k ow because my son is amongst them I know how hard a degree from the royal Birmingham conservatoire is to obtain .not sure why someone would thumbs down this video after the dedication these you g people show to obtain that BMUS.HONS. If they are lucky enough after four years of bloody hard work .only reason I can think is jealousy maybe your a failed student crap with your instrument that must be the case .i have had the pleasure along with many thousands of people seeing these you g adults develop into wonderful professional musician's I wish them all the luck in the world as they enter it after a year from hel l of course .
Fully endorse the comment. Great performance of one of my favourite ever rousing test pieces. It must be very demanding I imagine, especially on the soloists.. One slip and that's it.. So well done and also a credit to you all for a smart turn out (dress-wise) ..I first heard A London Overture about 25 yrs ago at a contest at Pontins in North Wales ...some 20 + bands played it and never got fed up hearing that piece that day.. . Your solo cornet reminds me of how the great late Maurice Murphy sounded as a young man., played with emotion. I never played a brass instrument but do know what sounds good and what does not.. My Dad was Maj George Willcocks, have you ever played his march "The Champions?" best of luck to you ....
