I'm a raider fan and jealous Carr is killing it with saints cause I always knew he could with the right system. Wish we still had him. Good luck saints fans definitely rooting for Carr. Fresno State alum. Kick the eagles butts!
Thanks fellas always wanting our raider brothers get the wins they deserve. Wish you guys the best of luck and the right quarterback will come soon enough.
Much love! Gotta say I'm really impressed with how polite and well-wishing all the Raiders fans I've talked to in literally 2 whole ass years now have been to the Saints. Shout out to you guys.
Kubiak had an action plan, heading to where ever he was gonna land an OC gig! 🤦🏾♂️ I’m so glad we held out until after the Super Bowl to hire him! Kudos to DA & Saints! ⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️
One thing I learned over the years is never bet on a team you love but this week I am betting on my Saints and I plan to walk away with a minimum of $500-$3000 Also never bet on a team before week five has been my rule of thumb so you can see stats injuries what not and I’ve made a lot of money, but my guys got me so jacked. I’m spending money on my own team. Which I also won little money on already just a joke bet
I truly believe in this team and think Kubiak is an excellent offensive play caller. And I’m sure the reason for our back to back 40 burgers is because no one has any film to study of this offense. I know 40 burgers aren’t sustainable and that we’ll get figured out eventually. But I’m just wondering how long that will take for defenses to have enough film and actually be good enough to stop us. Rn, we feel unstoppable WHO DAT💪⚜️
Not necessarily -- we've been pushing double backs for a long time. Pierre, Ingram, Bush, etc. We like one fast, springy, and with good balance (Bush, Kamara) and a bigger guy with punch, IE Ingram, Pierre Thomas etc
Hey James, don't know if you heard, Taysom is doubtful to play tomorrow. It seems likely he will not play. I would expect Dalin Holker to have a role in this game. With his skill sets, Kubiak will know how to utilize him.
Also to mention, while not having Taysom is a miss and I do consider him as the x-factor on the team. I'm not worried because Kubiak will have a game plan and make adjustments on Sunday.
I love that Sean McVay take, he is by far my favorite Offensive mind and HC. Only reason his team is doing bad is bc injuries but once those go away and he figures out that OL (bc it is really bad) he will join the rankings of BB, bill Walsh, madden, Mike S, Vince, Shula etc
To be fair, Carr took a HUGE discount for the Saints, largely bc DA was the HC. He could have gotten a Dak level contract had he wanted to. Bc he didn't tho, Saints have had plenty of money to spend and aren't cap strung with a ridiculous contract. Seeing that he's currently the #1 graded QB in the NFL, it's safe to say that he's far and away outplaying that contract. Also, Carr was playing at the same exact level he is now over the last 5 games of last season, so he isn't only playing well bc of Kubiak. The only difference now is that saints have a top 3 run game instead of a bottom 3 run game.
It's still a passing league, has been since the Patriots went pass wild (and flags flew every time Brady got looked at and cried, much less sacked or touched). Jokes aside, the league used to be run then pass, then started moving to 50/50 run/pass around the late 80's, then slightly more passing in the late 90's/ early 2000's. (I call '95 The Year of the Receiver, it was the beginning of the shift to a pass happy league... Irvin, Bruce, Tim Brown, Jimmy Smith, Cris Carter, and of course Jerry Rice, among others.) It was an imbalance that was bound to be corrected, DC's were having to scheme against the pass first, run second. If you had a top RB and system that kept D's on their heels, you could keep from being one dimensional. What's separating NO from the rest of the league right now is AK and an O-Line that can both run block and pass block, not just pass block and seemingly run block. The RAIDERS, my team, with DC4, had a killer offense, but it was contingent on one player, actually two... Ruggs, and having Agholor as well, to spread defenses. NO has Shaheed to fill the role of Ruggs, could use another speedster to spread defenses, but Olave is good enough to keep defenses "honest", to spread the field. The real bottom line of the NO offense is, they had most of the players on offense, they just needed to shore up the O-line, get a new scheme, and keep defenses from playing a passing defense... defenses can't just tee off on a passing game, Micah Parsons is ineffectual against a balanced, well schemed offense, all defenses are going to have fits against NO. *Maybe some DC will see something he can plan for, the reverse of the Dolphins taking apart the Bears 46 defense, but I don't think it will happen any time soon, DC's are too used to scheming for passing offenses... Kubiak has flipped the script, and done it the old fashioned way.
I started to watch the OTB video but the way they were talking about the analytics lost me. Acting like that it was mindblowing. But watching you this is old hat! I appreciate your take much better

As a Bulldog Alum I feel the same as a Raider and Carr fan.

I felt the same way about CJGJ. I knew he would be great at safety. First season as a full time safety and he leads the league in picks.

Running 2 backs a lot is also a result of being up big in the 2nd half.......

@davemccombs they are referring to running a 2 back set, not using 2 backs in a game.

I wouldn't be surprised if we came out in an old school pro set.. he had a wing t set last game
Been talking about it for years,Sean would do it but but it wasn’t always effective so he didn’t do it much at all but I think he wanted to
the best thing i can say about the saints is that they look like the 2019 LSU team with burrow just blowing everyone out of the water

Can other players pick up the slack if Taysom's body cant hold out? We have a long season to go.
When will the owners realize they need to find a $50m coach, not qb?

Is it really that much different from the 98/99 Denver Broncos offense?
