"Well aaaakshully!" =P So this is a cover of a song from 1986 by legendary Swedish punk rock band Imperiet. It was originally in Swedish but Imperiet made this English version as well. The writer of the song, Joakim Thåström, is notably very critical of religion but I don't think this song actually has ANYTHING to do with religion or faith. Not for it or against it or using it as most metal bands do to shock. It's just a parable using the story of Genesis and Babylon and general Christian imagery to make a secular indictment of humanity. It tells the story of the rise of humanity from cavemen to modern civilization and how we pretty much just fuck things up. In true punk spirit he doesn't have a very high opinion of humanity and certainly not the current world order, him being an anarkist at the time.
I'm surprised I had to scroll this far down to find someone pointing out that this is a cover song, not a Ghost original. But I heard it from Ghost first and then found the original. It seems Ghost did a very faithful rendition of the song. Here's a question though: was the English version by Imperiet the first version or was it originally released in Swedish? I THINK I read on one lyric site that the English was first and then they later released it in Swedish.... Vin & Sori: I'd like to see you react to other covers they have done including the Eurythmics, Echo and the Bunnymen, Abba, or even Leonard Cohen or the Beatles. OOOOH....how about the song "Crucified" which was originally done by Army of Lovers back in '91?
Lol Ghost doesn't care if their upside down cross logo is dumb. That's kind of the point. Tobias has described the themes of Satanism in the band as "Hollywood Satanism". It's all just spectacle and theatrical. Even satirical. There is nothing serious about Ghost except for the real-world symbolism that their songs have when read from between the lines.
The irony is that the upside down cross isn't even Satanic Saint Peter was crucified upside down because he felt he was not worthy of sharing the same death as his savior Jesus So its not a negative icon, rather an icon of extreme devotion and subservience to the love of Christ
I don’t know what Tobias believes privately but I would not be surprised if he is Christian or Jewish... This is all like a mix of Ozzy and KISS a lot of show and the new twist is a serious message to society as a whole...
"Kill one man, and you are a murderer. Kill millions of men, and you are a conqueror. Kill them all, and you are a God." Jean Rostand from Thoughts of a Biologist, 1938. - Btw quoted by Megadeth in a song "Captive Honor" from album "Countdown to Extinction"
I get instant chills everytime he hits that chorus it's such a beautiful cover and really showcases the vocal range of Tobias Forge really cool to see you guys becoming fans of Ghost cant wait till you both check out year zero
Sad to hear you're having such negative reactions from Ghost fans. I'd consider myself a pretty big fan of theirs and would like you to know I very much enjoy hearing a Christian's perspective on their content. It's fun hearing different opinions on things :)
Ive watched this a few times. Could definitely tell Sori was feeling it. Meaning aside you could tell she loved it. I played this for my 70 year old Aunt who is pretty religious and hates metal/rock...except when I show it to her for some reason. She loved this song, then I showed her a pic of ghost and she gasped, then said, wow you really cant judge a book by its cover. It was awesome.
I'm not a 'believer' of any religion, but it was very cool to see all this explanations and stories relating what is said on the song and what was said and done in the bible. And is great to see religious people hearing and liking Ghost. Because they're a theatrical band at the end of the day. It was never their plan to spread satanism or anything like that. Great job, guys. Cheers from Brazil.
Exactly. Tobias has two twin children and raises them normally, and he treats it as a theater. Unfortunately, hell is more colorful, and people have always had more fun in the dark. Stupid people have some ideologies for it but he said don't do it. However, he has the most blasphemous lyrics. I love it.
all things considered , even though i LOVE all Ghost's albums I believe Infestiussumam to be my favorite, and that is an excellent choice of a song (as any would be)
watched so many of these videos. this is my favourite discussion yet. fascinating exchange of opinions and interpretations, Sori throwing the finger is still the highlight 😉
This is a cover song so reading into the meaning and lyrics should be directed at Imperiet (a Swedish punk band). Ghost did a great job of covering it and kind of gave us all a peek at their (or Tobias') influences. btw...I have spent way too much time watching your reactions to Ghost songs tonight and have enjoyed it as well as learned quite a bit in the process. Thanks!!
I feel like you guys need to witness how Ghost fans interact with each other on Tumblr. Dude, we treat one another so gently. I don’t know if we’re all like that or not, but my little circle is just so soft and wholesome together. We draw pictures for each other, we add headcanons to each other’s blogs, I’ve even photoshopped the lead singer’s four characters onto the Wiggles for someone.
There are some religions that teach that "Babylon" is a another term term for "organized religion or Christianity." Specifically, they teach that one of the first signs of Armageddon is the "fall of Babylon" aka organized religion. So, I really like this song even more being a HUGE Ghost fan, realizing that they are true to spirit and also being an ex-cult survivor.
I wish I had known Christians like you two growing up. Maybe then I would have had a better view on religion and those of faith. You two seem more balanced and capable critical thinking than most other Christians I had been apart of
Respect Thåström and Imperiet. The comments just blew my mind and I listened to the originals (Swedish and English). Loved the song before i knew it was a cover.
Loving the Ghost videos, but you're missing out by not hitting Year Zero yet. I'd argue it's the quintessential Ghost song during their "classic" line up era. Much darker sound than a lot of other songs by them. Their new album is solid, but it's got a totally different vibe.
Dark Waters disagree, I am not a big 80s arena rock fan so that's why I prefer Opus and Infestissumam. They're a lot darker and remind me of older metal bands. Ghost are essentially a different band now than they were when Opus was released. That's not a bad thing, they've just changed "flavors"
I think your flavour analogy is fairly appropriate; their core and intent remains the same, but they have made a couple stylistic adjustments that in my opinion fit and follow their mythology and how it has progressed over the years. I personally believe that if nothing else, the new album is more consistent (in the sense that all of the songs are fairly streamlined in terms of quality) when compared to the older material where amazing songs like Elizabeth and Satan Prayer in Opus or Year Zero and Monstrance Clock in Infestissumam stand out a ton compared to other more forgettable tracks. I'm sure they've not abandoned the darker side to their music, they're an extremely recent band after all, I think it's reasonable for them to expand and experiment.
Dark Waters I guess, but the best album to me is Opus and Infestiss. It's just reminds me of the old days. Opus is very raw. Infesstiss gives me that cool classic rock style. The new album is my least favorite album. It's not for my ears.
I find, with Ghost songs, that they just stick around in my head. I can be sort of so-so on them when I first listen, but they are almost always more than they seem. I wouldn't say that I'm a big fan, but I certainly understand the draw of the band. They're very smart about the way they structure the music and the lyrics, and their overarching, theatrical element makes the whole thing an event. Whereas most death and black metal presents dark subject matter with an easy warning of being harsh and sinister, Ghost often gives it to you with a teaspoon of sugar. You're walking around, singing about the devil all day, and you're not even really aware of it.
Patrick Tracy hahaha That's why I love Ghost! They're innovating the way people relates "devil lyrics" with poppy/cheesy music. It's almost like a spell ~
The first song I heard by them was Hunter's Moon because they kept playing it on the radio a few weeks ago. First listen was like "this is kinda weird but I don't hate it." After hearing it a few times it started growing on me, and I started listening to some more of their music and just fell in love For the past few years I've listened to basically nothing but rap, but for the past couple weeks I've listened to nothing but Ghost lmao
@@MrScrake It's always good to expand your musical repertoire. I'm lucky to have been raised on Billy Joel, Nirvana, The Foo Fighters, and a heaping of AC/DC with a good amount of early 2000s pop sprinkled in there. Naturally, some R&B made its way into there over the years. Nearly two decades later, and every playlist I frequent is my own personal mixture of, well, everything: pop, alt. pop, classical, rock, grunge, rap, R&B and soul, soundtrack... Just about everything. I mean that's just how I've always been, personally. My taste in music is all over the place. But it's beautiful in and of itself (or so I like to think). Good that you've expanded your palette, too.
I was In an extremely dark time of my life and Ghost seriously helped me become spiritual by just being themselves and being so theatrical. It helped me when I heard lyrics like I know your soul is not tainted, even though you've been told so. Then to see these amazing comments just admit how beautiful this band is. I love you all. Peace
And that is the beauty of it. Getting to make your own interpretations of the lyrics. If I, a Catholic, can profess that I love Ghost regardless of their religious themes or implications, however so they are, then that's really something. Also, Cirice is phenomenal.
I first came across your channel with He Is. As an atheist I thought I'd get a laugh at y'all. With each video I find myself laughing with you more than at you. Well done. My interpretation of the song, each day represents a period in mankind's time. The 7th day with the voice from above being Gabriel's trumpets starting armageddon and ending mankind's time on Earth. I dig your channel so bravo to both of you.
As a Christian i really enyoy to listen to you because you are not trying to enforce your belives but just enlighting us with your knowledge and explenation. And also I love Ghost😎😎
I just watched your show and your review of the song square hammer. Excellent I am an Episcopal priest and think your doing the Christian public a service by letting them listen to the songs and deciding if they show listen for themselves . Freedom , next to salvation , Is the greatest gift God has given us. Thanks for letting us use it!
as a stout atheist, i always find it interesting hearing christians talk about their faith, especially when its in connection to something i can relate to, the music i love ;)
Found your channel today and have binged watched for hours. So good. Out of interest, what kind of music do you two enjoy? You seem really open minded and able to appreciate all kinds of different styles. Thanks for your interesting views from a long-time metal and music fan.
Absolutely love your Ghost videos. They're my favorite band, and these are some of the most in depth discussions I've heard about their lyrics particularly. Whatever your point of view ends up on any particular song, I just enjoy the quality of the discussion.
Hi guys great to see another ghost reaction. It's not Year zero but it will have to do :-). Also mentioned in one of the earlier comments this is actually a cover song . It was originally sung in Swedish. Hope you guys have a blessed day peace
Acceptance of inevitable death creates an inner peace that scales everything in your life, and creates stronger ties to friends family and loved ones. Too many people see death as the "enemy" or somehow think they are going to live forever, ironically creating the whole stupid "yolo" phase. I feel that death is the great reward at the end of a life lived. If your life was lived poorly the end is going to be frightning for all the questions. If you live your life to the fullest when your time comes up, you get to see what the truth of the afterlife is for yourself. You will get to know what no living being knows outside of faith, and that is a reason to live to the fullest. Ive been told that i have a very dark outlook but i beg the differ. I think a good relationship with death is very healthy. You guys are awesome by the way. Love your discussions on different songs. (Was going to say analysis but wasnt sure if the plural of analasis was analasi lol)
Don't let anyone denounce you guys from stepping into different boundaries of music that may reflect juxtaposing ideological principles. It is (or should be) a part of the human experience to learn as much as you can from every culture and denomination out there. If you don't have the freedom to go and give Gorgoroth an honest listen, then i'd say those who say as such are pressing an inherently restrictive, sheltering ideology. No one said you have to agree with what is being said, but that doesn't take away the experience of the art and musicianship being showcased. Anywho, I just had to tell you guys I really appreciate you for being one of the most honest and open reaction channels out there and willing to step outside of your box to analyze things you dont necessarily agree with. I myself am not a christian, and will never be, but you have helped me understand that open mindedness can and does exist in that denomination. Thank you.
What i love about this song is that the "days" are actually steps in which mankind had followed to where we are and we will be. We are Babylon in a sense. False Gods, bad ideas of who Jesus was, especially when people who are gay were made that way, and Jesus loved man as they were all His fathers creations but made him sad that He had been forsaken, but He knew it was where His story would truly start. A whore was one of His closest friends so gay, disabled, sick, and forgotten were all part of who He gave love to. He even forgave Judas so thats nothing like most "religious" people. This song is truly a bettet example of our time here on Earth.
The song is actually a cover and not an original. The original version is by a Swedish band called Imperiet. It's from their third EP. Their EPs are covers of songs with their Ghost spin on it. They pick interesting songs to cover like Marionette by ABBA or Here Comes The Sun by Beatles.
Having grown up in a very conservative Christian environment, I eschewed, or had eschewed for me, anything secular. It's always somewhat strange to me that Christians are afraid of being exposed to other ideas, viewpoints, perspectives, art, than their own. Is your faith unshakable? If you find a viewpoint you like better, your viewpoint was unsound. I am sure it's been mentioned many times in the comments...this is a cover of a song virtually unknown outside of Sweden. I'd already been listening to Ghost a while but had somehow missed this cover....I recall the chills I got on that chorus. It's the definition of epic. The choral vocals are just awesome.
I grew up evangelical. I stopped believing almost 20 years ago. I don't know what kind of Christians you guys are, but I love you both. You guys are awesome and if I knew people like you back in the day, it would have been harder to walk away. Anyway, I interpret this song taking each day as a dispensation and all society is Babylon. And we are falling. And God is going to kill us all. Ok, that is pretty simplistic but this is a super long post already and I'm sorry to anyone who actually read the whole thing.
The fact that you don't try to convert people is one of the reasons I have remained a loyal subscriber and supporter on patreon. We may be Christians, Athiests, Jews, Agnostics, Satainists, Pagans, and so on... with different faiths or lack of faith.. but we are all humans first and foremost. Love your fellow Humans.
I just recently found your channel, and I have to say, you both have really put a different perspective on the songs you react to, especially, Ghost. I'm a Christian who has felt very guilty about liking some of Ghost's music. But the way you interpret it, especially this song, has helped me to see a different side to it. I got the good chills when you said "God's praying for Babylon"! Love it!!
This is very close the most beautiful song I have ever heard, I don’t think it’s suppose to be 100% historically correct but more so show what we as humans have done to the earth. “The earth was like an open sore” it’s the best line in the song, it describes the earth now as it is
Thanks for your channel guys! I am practicing LDS and I love that you are open minded. More people should be like you guys. Too many people are way too judgemental. I found Ghost a couple weeks ago and have been listening to them non-stop! They are phenomenal! A few of my other absolute favorite songs by Ghost are Secular Haze, Stand By Him, It's a Sin, I'm a Marionette, Nocturnal Me, and Waiting for the Night. These are beautiful songs and really show off their talent. I can't wait for you to do more Ghost! Keep up the great work!
The original version is just as good! It was originally performed/written by the Swedish band Imperiet in 1988. Ghost added the very last spoken lyric.
Donno how many times i watched this clip. One thing i do know is that Vin and Sori always put a smile on my face, just as Ghost do. You just seam to be so damn nice. Keep up the good work. Oh! By the way, i bumped in to Tobias Forge twice this summer in Stockholm.
Really great analysis of the lyrics. I would have never even come close to deducing any of that, but hearing it clearly laid out it makes a lot of sense.
@@VinAndSori You were soooooo close... The song was written by one of Sweden's biggest (punk) rock stars during the cold war. The rain wasn't the flood per se, but nuclear holocaust. No metal metropolis can stop nuclear missiles, and mankind ended itself. The god epilogue is something ghost added. The original is just metaphorical.
You guys are great and it's amazing to hear the opinions of other Christians to great music, I'm a Christian myself and I'm all about metal (in particular death / black metal). My favourite song at the moment is Slaughter to Prevail - Chronic Slaughter, you guys should totally check it out!!
I personally really like BIBLE from Ghost. Ghost is one of my favorite bands overall actually. Now I'm not a Christian or I don't consider myself one but I did grow up going to church. I got a trophy for singlehandedly beating the biggest churches in Central Ohio at Bible Bowl...but that's just because I have an incredibly good memory, like LD good and I smoked those big teams. My Mom also played the piano in church my entire childhood. I grew disillusioned with the church as a teenager and a lot of my gripes remain the same as they did then. And this song pretty much sums them up for me....God wiped out the entire world except Noah and his family?!?! Even if they were wicked they didn't deserve that.....and even if they did WHO PRAYED FOR THEM? That too me is what this song is about. Supposedly God will be judging humanity, one by one, and according to Christianity you can be the utmost piece of dog sh!t and so long as you're a [baptized] believer who's accepted J.C. as your lord and Savior you're IN LINE JERRY LYNN or JERRY FLYNN......'s mullet from WCW NITRO circa 1999. But my question has always been but what about all those God will forsake? Who prays for them? Great song.
I'm waiting for Ghost-Year Zero! There aren't any reactions to that song really. A few, but they're terrible. Or one of these, Majesty, Pro Memoria, Con Clavi Con Dio and Stand by Him.
I appreciate how you two dove deep on this. I'm familiar with Ghost and also love several songs. It was my 1st time listening to this song. I found it very thought provoking.. makes you ask questions. That's what I like about Ghost. They strike the raw nerve with their songs. You two are great. Listened to the whole 48 min discussion. Good points and good discussion. Keep it up!
Terrific reaction! I've been wondering when someone would analyze the Babylon aspect of this song! As others have mentioned, this is a cover of a song by Swedish band Imperiet (Bibel), and is pretty faithful to that version. The background vocals were done partly by a singer named Fia Kempe, who sings for the band "The Great Discord." Would be great to see you react to their song "Darkest Day" - many bands connected to Ghost (former members, other projects) worth checking out are Magna Carta Cartel [MCC] and the aforementioned Great Discord. Would love to see you guys tackle some Avatar too...another great heavy, melodic Swedish band.
Go is synonymous with At The Gates' Tomas Lindberg. Not Korn. ATG's Slaughter Of The Soul is one of the most influential extreme metal records. Even as a 15 year old I knew it would be a classic. This Ghost song (Just in case it hasn't been mentioned.) is originally performed by some obscure 80s Swedish rock band. Kind of funny how they started out as a 80s metal nostalgia band. Now they have switched to 80s pop rock worship. I guess greed is pretty satanic..... So why not.
I never indicated anything about ripping off. Fans and musicians who have toured with At The Gates have "GO" tattooed as a tribute to At The Gates. So its an At The Gates thing. Also, At the Gates would be a fun band to see in a video. They got all the satan and gore out of their system when they were called Grotesque. And were one of the first death metal band who dealt with more introspective topics.
This song is a cover, and an EXTREMELY good cover. Ghost covers songs you wouldn't expect them to cover and they always do such a brilliant job. This is one of the most beautifully done songs I've ever heard in my life. Ghost, in my humble opinion, is saving music.
Some I'd be curious to know your opinions... Volbeat "The Gates of Babylon" Porcupine Tree "Fear of a Blank Planet" (either the full 7+ minute version, or the uncensored official video which uses the single version) Opeth "Bleak" or "Deliverancec Agalloch "As Embers Dress the Sky" or "Falling Snow"
sixstringpsycho I am sure you are aware that Those are chords and structures taught by the Arch Angel Gabriel to King David to perform songs that pleased God and all who listened. Very Few others ever actually knew how to perform them until the early middle ages. Just the instruments alone were too difficult to replicate until that time. David had handmade some of the instruments and they were all in the same tuning. Wood Flutes, brass Flutes, small Harps, early Dulcimers and a few others. Man had made all of them before but David made them so they were all in tune with each other. Before Gabriel taught this to David, the King didn't know shit from shinola about music.
sixstringpsycho 5th chords, 6th chords (8th chord octives also). Structured in ways that create hooks and melodies that to some are (cheesy but) appealing to the ears. This song has ALL of that.
Bible is actually a really beautiful song compared to songs like Witch Image and Dance Macabre Which are both great songs But Bible is just beautiful I got chills and I'm tearing up sitting here listening with you guys 🥺❤ It is very special when music can invoke such powerful emotions to bring tears to your eyes I feel like Babylon in the song is a reference to the human race in general We are Babylon
I would say this channel is definitely a contributing factor for me getting into Ghost. I'd get Sori a Ghost t-shirt if I didn't think Vin may disown her!
Or: Face of Melinda The Drapery Falls Blackwater Park Demon of the Fall Eternal Rains will Come the Grand Conjuration Death Whispered a Lullaby or so many other great songs.
One thing these “Christians” need to know about Ghost. Ghost is not a “Satanic” band. Their music is about the relationship between human and Satan. Even though you may not worship, like, or pay attention to Satan, there is a relationship there. I can see the confused expression on the dude’s face here kind of like, “Wait, I thought they were satanic.” He’s trying very hard to judge the group, lyrics, and whole stance. Would you judge a action, horror, or comedy movie that hard? All Ghost is, is a concept band. Nothing more than artist creating art. I would like you to have a “reaction video” which is basically a “judging video” to Deicide. Please do that. I would love to see that.
Tobias Forge is a freemason & he most certainly does worship Lucifer. The themes & influence of Albert Pike's Morals & Dogma on Ghosts music is extremely apparent. I suggest you give Albert Pike's Morals & Dogma a read, study the Freemason's & listen to Ghost afterwards.
I love your reactions guys I don't know why, I even go back to some old videos of yours instead of the song's video itself! I like to experience the music with you, I feel a sort of connection. I don't know why this song by Ghost makes me emotional, I am an overthinker and I spend a considerable amount of time thinking about us, humans, about our existence, about our destiny..
Gosh, I love Sori. She seems really sweet and sheltered, so she comes off as very innocent and a little naive, but in an endearing way. Meanwhile Vin, is always looking at her sideways, seeming to be trying to decide whether or not he should burst her happy bubble with a dose of harsh reality. It's such a cute dynamic.
I am not a christain by far but to each there own I except people for how they act . I applaud u for taking time and listening to different styles of music.
The fact Sori is such a big fan of Ghost's music goes to show how incredibly proficient they are at what they do - she's about as far from the target audience as it gets, and yet the music is appealing to the point where she loves it regardless of anything else.

I get instant chills everytime he hits that chorus it's such a beautiful cover and really showcases the vocal range of Tobias Forge really cool to see you guys becoming fans of Ghost cant wait till you both check out year zero
that kiss at 5:58 after his line "and a woman to love each other" just melted my heart. y'all are goals. 👌
Sori - "This music is amazing"
Vin - "These mfs trolling?"
These are the facial expressions during the song lmao
Sad to hear you're having such negative reactions from Ghost fans. I'd consider myself a pretty big fan of theirs and would like you to know I very much enjoy hearing a Christian's perspective on their content. It's fun hearing different opinions on things :)
GunslingerKT19 I agree
Would you be welcoming of a Islamic Reaction to the Ghost music or Scientology? All Religion is a cancer on society.
Well you are the religion of the comment section mah man
Steven Lafleche no, you’re just a cancer on society
@@StevenLafleche Dogmatic mindsets are the cancer of society. You've adopted the same principle, but in the guise of your own superiority.
Youre doing a great job! Just keep on being Vin & Sori because we like you just the way you are. Best wishes from Sweden!
Felipe Gomes Wow, brasileiro aqui, haha.
Mais um Felipe brasileiro fã do GHOST.
Salve!
Exactly. Tobias has two twin children and raises them normally, and he treats it as a theater. Unfortunately, hell is more colorful, and people have always had more fun in the dark.
Stupid people have some ideologies for it but he said don't do it. However, he has the most blasphemous lyrics. I love it.

Whenever you guys review Ghost, Vin's whole vibe is * suspicion intensifies *, I love it 😂
watched so many of these videos. this is my favourite discussion yet. fascinating exchange of opinions and interpretations, Sori throwing the finger is still the highlight 😉
You two seem more balanced and capable critical thinking than most other Christians I had been apart of
Much love big homie
Dark Waters
I guess, but the best album to me is Opus and Infestiss. It's just reminds me of the old days. Opus is very raw. Infesstiss gives me that cool classic rock style. The new album is my least favorite album. It's not for my ears.
Awwww, Sori looked so excited with the song❤

This song resonates. It breaks my heart without fail every single time. Tears. Not something I'm accustomed to....
This song is a cover from the Swedish band Imperiet.
The first song I heard by them was Hunter's Moon because they kept playing it on the radio a few weeks ago. First listen was like "this is kinda weird but I don't hate it." After hearing it a few times it started growing on me, and I started listening to some more of their music and just fell in love
For the past few years I've listened to basically nothing but rap, but for the past couple weeks I've listened to nothing but Ghost lmao

I love the fact that they dive into this song and all it stands for, not knowing it's a cover. Hysterical.
Now the Pet Shop boys remake. Love it
Having grown up in a very conservative Christian environment, I eschewed, or had eschewed for me, anything secular.
“I love their music” how can you not!!!!!!
Your answer to the days sequence is in 19:50.
Each day is actually referring to a chapter in Genesis.
That's clever
The original version is just as good! It was originally performed/written by the Swedish band Imperiet in 1988. Ghost added the very last spoken lyric.
It's a cover by Joakim Thåstöm "Imperiet" that Ghost made in English. The original song is in Swedish with the same name. Love Morgan from Sweden!🇸🇪
Imperiet also did this in english, it's their translation.

Really great analysis of the lyrics. I would have never even come close to deducing any of that, but hearing it clearly laid out it makes a lot of sense.
Thank you !

Keep it up!
I would love to see your reaction on one of their new songs, either "life eternal" or "see the light"
I feel like when Sori says "Go" she should instead give her best Jonathan Davis impression "GO!"
Truuuuuu
Go is synonymous with At The Gates' Tomas Lindberg. Not Korn. ATG's Slaughter Of The Soul is one of the most influential extreme metal records.
Even as a 15 year old I knew it would be a classic.
This Ghost song (Just in case it hasn't been mentioned.) is originally performed by some obscure 80s Swedish rock band.
Kind of funny how they started out as a 80s metal nostalgia band. Now they have switched to 80s pop rock worship. I guess greed is pretty satanic..... So why not.
Krzysztof Mular Olsen makes sense. One band says one word and everyone there after that utters it is ripping them off.
I appreciate you guys being willing to listen to these types of songs. Takes character to step outside your own sandbox. May the gods bless you.
Helloween Keeper of the seven keys! Do it guys!
I know it's a cover but i feel, the deepest feels with this song, best Ghost song.
This song is a cover, and an EXTREMELY good cover. Ghost covers songs you wouldn't expect them to cover and they always do such a brilliant job. This is one of the most beautifully done songs I've ever heard in my life. Ghost, in my humble opinion, is saving music.

sixstringpsycho I am sure you are aware that Those are chords and structures taught by the Arch Angel Gabriel to King David to perform songs that pleased God and all who listened.
Aaron A. Foster The so-called “secret chord?” Lol I would love to learn the ins and outs of how to use this kind of chord progression.
sixstringpsycho 5th chords, 6th chords (8th chord octives also). Structured in ways that create hooks and melodies that to some are (cheesy but) appealing to the ears. This song has ALL of that.
This is definitely your most insightful reaction. Very much enjoyed it and the discussion about the many facets of Gods character. Thanks!

Sweden is #3 in the world when it comes to music. Sori´s reaction makes me so proud of my fellow countrymens musicianship.. Sverige!
Aww, that kiss at 6 minutes is the just the sweetest thing on the internet!
Thanks to IMPERIET for the Lyrics and the music 🙏
Ghost did it well though.
I love your reactions guys I don't know why, I even go back to some old videos of yours instead of the song's video itself! I like to experience the music with you, I feel a sort of connection.
