Wow!! Shamba la kale in Swahili is the old farm. A place so beautiful and panoramic, gone are the old sweet days of Mzee KK, much regards to Mr Mbao for keeping the place. Thanks to Traveltainment for this historic coverage. From TZ with love
Amazing video. I have fond memories of KK. He was a great leader. I once had the opportunity to shake his hand. I was 12 at the time. This experience I cherish. Wish this residence is brought under national museums. It is part of Zambia’s history. Thank you for a great video.
What a great tour shambalakale the undiminished memory and the moment to reckon with, may the sour of our forefather Dr, David kenneth kaunda continue resting in peace.
A great and emotional video. Shambalakale Farm needs to be listed , protected and looked after as a national heritage site. There is a lot of history there. Thank you for the tour Traveltainment. Yes you delivered.
I used to visit this place with his grandchild who was my friend by the name of Bertha Munjuzi Kaunda , we were at chins Ali girls high school from 1979 to 1983.
The only president that I lived under his reign. He had his own weaknesses like any other human being but he was a great visionary leader with a heart for Zambia & indeed for Zambians. Thanks for this great video
This must be used for educational tours for secondary school children at least for three nights ,so that they can learn about Zambian history. At a small fee by the school and parents.Every term at least .They can pay in instalments to keep the building refurbished .If everyone of us can be allowed to visit the place at a fee will be a good idea.He was a peaceful man and we are enjoying because of kk.We enjoyed free education and he never went abroad or overseas for his holidays. He was mostly in Mufwe for his holidays. Great man he was.May his soul rest in peace.Thankyou very much traveltainment you are the best ytuber of Zambia.
Shambalakale, yes we may never have the opportunity to see it in person, but thanks to you we have seen it via your documentary. The history we need in our schools today. The department of ministry of education needs to do something about it.
Excellent important piece of history to this great selfless leader and a peace maker of then to the frontline states assisting them to their independence! 💙
I agree with you. The man who never went to University but built a one/2 for his Nationals children and children children. The people who studied at those universities became big headed and started selling companies that they can’t replace, except to dream of empowering foreigners. Yoooo, yoooo!!!
Fantastic click and well done Misheck and Ba Mr Mbao. The place should be a tourist destination, then being idle and go to waste. Some Hotel Management Company should take it over. Will talk to my Kaunda brothers and Sisters. 🙏🙏🙏
Good historical monument. This was a farm but you concentrated on the house than revealing what kind of farming was involved and what kind of farming could be now. Otherwise it's a good thing to remind us. What does it's name mean? We expected to hear of that.
Great video. Can this house be turned into a tourist attraction like the house in Shiwagandu so that it can make revenue for maintenance etc. Alternatively can be turned into a museum etc.

In Tanzania Kiswahili it means an old farm...garden is bustani ..
