He has healed me of all my sin and changed me on all things, except one. I have been dealing with one sin for about 17 years. I am not one to cry. I was at one point at the end of my resources and cried out, Lord, choose me the next one! And please, let it be THE ONE, and let it be FOREVER. Just months after my heartfelt (and heartbroken!) prayer, I met my husband. We've been together since 1999, married in 2004 and have a precious son. God answers prayers! And he's a born-again Christian!
i had a alcohol addiction. i started going to church one day, n i felt something amazing inside, it made me cry uncontrollably. had me thinking about my drinking problem and i wanted to stop. all in a sudden i didn't have cravings anymore, i quit my job!! and found a christian workplace coincidentally and now im happy as i ever been!!!! god is amazing!!!!!!!! he can the impossible and if you have relationship w him, he will help you. just trust in him
i have 4 months clean and sober as of yesterday. I have done the 12 steps twice. i go to meetings everyday. i have experience a psychic change from God. i am eternally grateful to be sober and grow in love spiritually. god bless your recovery!!!

You can try everything else, and it won't work, only true submission in worship to God will. You should also avoid sensual and worldly things, that keep on feeding your mind which weaken your strength and senses. You need to leave worldy music, and movies, i know it's tough but these things are the very reason that defeat a christian, they are made to make us fall. It's amazing how everything is working against us, but since you are a christian and i'm glad you are, it is not difficult for me to explain, and i know all this makes a lot of sense to you. The guy that struggled with drugs in the video must have thought or been tempted by the thought of "one more, then I'll surrender", but he said "No, I'm doing this right now. Take it all, Lord!" I almost slipped back into my temptation just minutes before playing this, and I'm saying the same thing. "I'm done living in deception. I'm tearing down the things that I have loved more than my savior. I will serve the Lord!" Could y'all pray for me and all those struggling with any temptation?
Sure bro, i would pray fo ya n fo all those struggling through the same phase of temptations as u. Please pray fo me too as lately am under some serious tests n temptation which is eating me up like hell. When i think of spending sum valuable time fo meditation n spending sum time talking to my Lord, i am hit with sum evil spirit dat separates me from gettin closer to Lord n make me fall prey to sum unproductive things. I have had this problem even before but somehow ive tried fighting these problem back then but lately it seems kinda difficult n uncontrollable n forbids me from doing what am supposed to do n miserably makes me fall weak n easily come in contact with the evil one.
Allen Jacob Brother, you're not alone. My priest told me that even though we fall and we feel like we lose our identity in our savior, we have to remember just who we are to our Lord. We are sons and daughters of the one true King. When I fall short of living the way I ought to live, I feel bad and separated from God, but then I'm reminded of who I am, and that I am going to fall and that is the reason Christ died for me. I will certainly pray for you and others who face similar or different struggles and evils in life, that the Lord might help you be rid of it. Remember this; we are called to take up our crosses and follow Jesus every day. Our crosses, just like the cross Jesus carried are heavy with sin, but also like Christ, He carried it to end of his life. We are called to carry a cross full of sin and follow Jesus in hopes that the causes of our downfall might be the means of our salvation.

Just remember, it's not religion you need to find your way back to, but faith. It's taken many years & many falls for me to realize that God does not forget about us no matter how far we stray. And if you want to find your way back to Him, you will. It takes time to drift away, it can take time to drift back. Sending prayers your way... :)
Been amazed by the response on here! Thought I would give an update. In that single moment when I listened to this song before my addiction was broken. This does not mean there was no temptation to continue. There was certainly still the habit of it that made me want to return to it. But for the first time in many years I felt like I had a choice to say no. In my new found God given freedom I have been faithful to my commitment to serve the Lord. Philippians 1:6 I am holding firm to this.

I almost slipped back into my temptation just minutes before playing this, and I'm saying the same thing. "I'm done living in deception. I'm tearing down the things that I have loved more than my savior. I will serve the Lord!" Could y'all pray for me and all those struggling with any temptation?

Sure bro, i would pray fo ya n fo all those struggling through the same phase of temptations as u. Please pray fo me too as lately am under some serious tests n temptation which is eating me up like hell. When i think of spending sum valuable time fo meditation n spending sum time talking to my Lord, i am hit with sum evil spirit dat separates me from gettin closer to Lord n make me fall prey to sum unproductive things. I have had this problem even before but somehow ive tried fighting these problem back then but lately it seems kinda difficult n uncontrollable n forbids me from doing what am supposed to do n miserably makes me fall weak n easily come in contact with the evil one.
Allen Jacob Brother, you're not alone. My priest told me that even though we fall and we feel like we lose our identity in our savior, we have to remember just who we are to our Lord. We are sons and daughters of the one true King. When I fall short of living the way I ought to live, I feel bad and separated from God, but then I'm reminded of who I am, and that I am going to fall and that is the reason Christ died for me. I will certainly pray for you and others who face similar or different struggles and evils in life, that the Lord might help you be rid of it. Remember this; we are called to take up our crosses and follow Jesus every day. Our crosses, just like the cross Jesus carried are heavy with sin, but also like Christ, He carried it to end of his life. We are called to carry a cross full of sin and follow Jesus in hopes that the causes of our downfall might be the means of our salvation.

Love this! Brought some conviction of unresolved sin, truly a blessing to the saints! Was kind of shocked to see Challah, and Shabbat candles in the video, I came to Christ from Orthodox Judaism, and seeing the family gathered around the Shabbat table, coming together in Jesus name, really was a blessing. My hearts desire is for my family to come to know Yeshua, and that we could do this as a family.

Just remember, it's not religion you need to find your way back to, but faith. It's taken many years & many falls for me to realize that God does not forget about us no matter how far we stray. Been amazed by the response on here! Thought I would give an update. In that single moment when I listened to this song before my addiction was broken. This does not mean there was no temptation to continue. There was certainly still the habit of it that made me want to return to it. But for the first time in many years I felt like I had a choice to say no. In my new found God given freedom I have been faithful to my commitment to serve the Lord. Philippians 1:6 I am holding firm to this.
