I'm interested where the car is now and how the engine withheld the supercharger. I'm also an MX3 owner with a KLZE that I'm currently prepping for a rebuild. I used to own the 1.8l v6 and that's what got me into the Mx'es. I was fortunate enough to find a friend with my current MX3 Klze he was willing to sell. He has the 4 banger turbo version pushing much more than the ZE is right now. What is this message about? I wanted to let you know that the MX3 community is still thriving and people are still taking care of the ones they own, at least the enthusiasts. Great build and I love the supercharger, something I was thinking of doing once the engine has been rebuilt.
@@GKMusik1 It all depends on whether you want a straight neck intake, which is standard for the KLZE. Then you need to relocate your brake booster supply. Or you can make it easy on yourself and install a curved intake manifold to completely avoid the brake booster. Remember, KLZE's are ALL Japanese or European... so, the brake booster is on the opposite side of the car on foreign models. The KLDE, found in Ford Probes has a lower compression ratio than the KLZE, and produces less power, but it's an American engine that teamed up with Mazda at the time. That's why you still see some Ford Probes on the road. KLZE is the way to go. 10:1 compression and all the internals are much beefier than the KLDE. You can safely boost the KLZE to around 6 PSI without harming any of the internals. Yes, my ride is fun. Honestly though, project cars and cars in general are the last thing on my list of things to do. Prepping long-term food storage, survival gear and training are at the top of my list. If you want someone who is much more knowledgeable, visit Tyler's Channel from Ontario. Or, FB has the MX3 Forum Group, which I was a part of until I deleted all my Social Media accounts, with exception of TH-cam. there is currently one for sale with a klze in Lithuania. The owner claims its turbo charged engine produces 299 hp. He wants 4200 Euros for the whole car.
No? The Probe was built with the KLDE, Which developed 164hp stock, The KLZE Delivers around 200hp stock :) As far as i know the KLZE was an engine they only sold in Japan.

This is Eaton M62 in AC compressor place and this is DV bypass valve not Blow-off :)
the SC is definitely well hidden, who needs AC anyway, when you have those awesome sounds
