As a resident of Tega Cay, I can assure you that the Buster Boyd Bridge is in the wrong direction if you want to go into Charlotte. Tega Cay is on the North Side of the lake. Also,, There are 3 towns surrounding Lake Wylie. Tega Cay, Rock Hill, and the town of Lake Wylie.
You are right I made a mistake about taking the bridge from Tega Cay! Still a pain in the butt to cross! I think Rock Hill is a big stretch to say it's on the lake. A tiny fingernails width of the city limits touches the actual lake. Most of the actually city is pretty far down the Catawba River.
Great info thanks! If you make videos about the surrounding towns it would be awesome to have more info on key boat launches and water access like you mentioned in this video
I really wish you cover here options for Sailing and windsurfing. I am looking for it on the Net and there is very little information... I would be glad for an extra small episode :) We are just about to move to one of those locations (haven't decided yet) and the wind-activity topic is a significant factor. Thanks!
Lake Norman 100%! Look up Lake Norman Community Sailing or Lake Norman Yacht Club. I’m a member at both and have a boat up at the YC. Multiple big regatta events a year up there.
@@tallflyer Great - thank you for the heads up. Are there any significant differences between them? price/accessibility/equipment? things they don't share on the website? :)
I love Wylie. Just moved from there, After 23 years. "The Riverview" was an awesome fish camp. They have shut down, Sadly. Lake Wylie, As a town, Has lost it's personal touch. Makes me cry. :-(

The world is changing man, it is what it is. I'd rather see lake wylie thrive than fall off and loose out on great developments
Im scared of the cancer clusters in LAKE NORMAN.. power plants :(
It seems that no one wants to talk about the cancer clusters. It's the lake's (and realtors) dirty little secret.
fake news
You forgot Mount Mourn, Mooresville
Yes I will need to make another video covering them!
Wylie alllll day….
Lake wylie have leeches.
Unfortunately it does!
@@RyanMcGrann not a really issue though. Lived in Steele creek/lake wylie for literally years and have yet to get a leech on me
