Does anyone else have the impression that Ordon is a single parent?? Even though in J Lee’s books he isn’t he has Shoni and two younger children and Rain is his first born, I’m just talking about the tv series

Yes I totally get the impression he’s a single parent with a really hard job just trying to do his best in the show at least. If he wasn’t honestly the other parent would’ve gone looking for Rian or they would’ve looked together. I’d say that’s why Rian was so shocked he was leaving because they probably aren’t apart very often being a single parent/child (at least that’s my understanding). I could totally see Fara being a type of aunt.

Good question. Of the Castle guards, he might have been the sole captain, and that might have given him great authority amongst all the other troops across the land.
