Great tour of the campground and you guys made the right decision to camp there with the amenities verses camping in the dunes in the howling onshore winds. Looks like a cool town too!
Such a special place, getting sand blasted is part of the fun lol… We take measures to avoid the wind that include using the trailers as wind breaks, 3ft stakes and privacy/landscaping screens. Our fires go well into the night btw… Also, you can bonfire on many a SoCal beaches.. The dunes are something else, really something to experience.. We normally head there in August, its typically 20-40 (yes 40 deg F) cooler than being slightly inland.. There are also rental trailers available that will place a trailer on the dunes for you, mobile sewage pickup trucks available for hire that also give water… Great job capturing some of Oceano.
Thanks for the tips. we are heading back in September, and debating going out to the beach or staying in the park again. Armed with your info (especially that they come pump and bring water) it might just be a beach year. Thanks a lot for taking the time to drop us some tips.
@@adudeadad no problem you’re welcome dude make sure you bring an air compressor you’re really gonna have to deflate your tires if you’re gonna drive onto the beach and set up shop. Another tip is bring other stakes and some caution tape to line out your campsite. Most of the people do it.
