Fantastic films but the cut versions did not help the experience. The uncut versions are crazy. Part 2 had a bit too much slow mo but the battle is crazy and brutal
Hey Adam! I'm not sure if you're aware, another TH-cam channel by the name of TheUSCN has been reuploading your videos on their channel since the end of July. Enjoy your reviews and perspective!
Star Wars Knock-Off wouldn't be a bad thing, since everything is after Star Wars is... But if it was made good it would be nice to watch, but if it is this way... waste of time. Thanks for the Review.
No one else saying it so I’m gonna say it. Rebel Moon Directors Cut is awesome. They’re hated now. But I believe it will age well with time to the likes of the Star Wars Prequel trilogy.
Well, you are right: it's a treat... Fpr me and many people I know. :D As usual the haters are the most vocal (weird: when I hate somehting I don't want to lose any more time on it but hey if people are so bored they need to spend their time on the net to talk about things they hate, not my problem :P ) but plenty of people loved these director's cut versions too.
I probably can cut rebel moon parts 1 and 2 into a 1 hr 20-minute movie and save everyone 5 hours. Or you can do my favorite cut. What I call the not a fan cut its Where you watch anything else.
can you believe there's a exclusive feature in netflix to choose any of the shit characters of REBELMOON as your picture profile? no Castlevania, No X-Men, No Middle earth heroes etc but REBELMOON instead .. cos... wow this world is so damned
I saw both chapter 1 and 2 director cuts and it was amazing, I felt that there was more brought into the characters there "why's" and "how's" were explained better. As well as seeing the gore in the violence and of course sexuality. It does not hit Star Wars, but it does make things realistic, I hope there will still be a chapter 3 and to make it better he can add Matt Reeves in the project to add more deepness as well as great writers from great movies. Overall I give Rebel Moon Directors Cut part 1, 9 out of 10 and part 2 9.5 out of 10.
Wow, this video is fantastic! 🌟 I really appreciate how you broke down the key points and provided such insightful commentary. I completely agree with your take. Looking forward to more great content from you! 👍📽
@@jasonmcmurtry7812 absolutely. Snyder made it sound like it was gonna feel like a completely different movie. I actually like both parts but I wish I had just waited and watched the R rated versions. Its literally the same movie just with added violence, gore, sex and swearing. The first part I thought was good . If I’d never seen the short version I’d give it a B. There’s a lot worse sci fi action out there. It’s a weak genre and I thought .. ok . Much different feel . I could go for more of this . The second part I’m not feeling it so far. I can’t stand the while “ training the villagers” trope. It’s been done to death in movies AND TV. But I realize that’s part of the whole plot. I love Snyder’s works. I still gotta watch the last couple of hours of part two. I’m. 😐 right now. I find it weird that alot of Snyder fans (not all but alot...cough cough Aaron Fischer) just can't accept that some of us genuinely find Snyders movies are overrated and just not very good and all 4 versions of these Rebel Moon movies absolutely prove that point!! Have you watched Part One Adam? This sounds already like Part Two!? 🤔 Where is the assembling of the great team? 🙈 Both Parts came out as a DC last Friday. Or did you just skip to the second one immediately just to stop early. 😂
I think I watched 1/2 of it on my computer, then the 2nd half on the TV upstairs later that day. Not realizing I was watching Part 2. Since this movie sucks so bad, I didn't think twice about it.
@@AdamDoesMovies But Adam, how could you even follow the complicated story structure if you skipped the first. 😂 You have to go back. 😜 I listened to your review and thought, man Snyder completely rearranged the story of epic events. Putting the harvesting in front made so much more sense to build up the townsfolk before the epic showdown. Which you missed out on completely. 😁😜🙈
I’m more akin to serious SCI-FI movies like Terminator 1 & 2 or Dune but this is popcorn SCIFI NETFLiX movie….Not a Hollywood blockbuster. Netflix forced the PG13 Version not the director. Zack told the audience the PG13 was trash and look forward for his cut as Netflix was trying to make money. The Directors Cut while not perfect but damn good. I give it a 7.5 out of 10 (and it’s on Netflix) - I watched with my son and we both thought “Damn-we’re ready to see what part three has in store.” The movies were fun and well above average. The negativity is what cause us to lose out on the third or forth movies. Lose out a new story. Another ECHO CHAMBER. And we’ll be complaining about what could have been? Part 1 is now a "better" movie than before, I do like it now, though some problems still remain. Honestly, I was hoping it would be cut differently, like they talk about their past & motivations with different scenes, now in Part 1, you know, where it would've mattert the most, before reaching Farming Planet. But no, instead we get MORE farm-porn. Pretty sure Snyder in his former life was a farmer. Look, I might like "Rebel Moon" for the wrong reasons, it's basicly R-Rated SW looking & feeling more like WH40K, something there isn't enough from out there, movie-wise. But I do hate the bad stuff for the right reasons, script-writing, directing, less focus on the important stuff, lots of filler, ego & hubris of Snyder. I would buy this on BR, if a thing, cheap, but if this franchise wants to grow, even survive, it has to do a shit ton of basic movie-making a lot better, by using common sense.

How the Snyder Cult perceive this as a masterpiece is anyone’s guess. They make it sound like this is some next level complex take on Star Wars when in reality it’s literally just: CROPS and SLOW MO.
I completely disagree, it's essentially the same movie (except for the 20 min cold open in Part 1), same plot same scenes same story, just added scenes with more gore, violence, sex and language. I wish I had just waited and watched this version instead on the PG-13 versions. Snyder made it sound like these 2 directors cuts were gonna feel like totally different movies.
This review perfectly encapsulates my feelings toward many movies released over the last few years. My thoughts on "why" they look and feel so bad, is that they focus on visuals over writing. It's as if they are trying to make every scene a sequence of comicbook pannels. But in the case of a comicbook, the artist only has a few limited static images to convey story, emotion, action, etc. So each image must do so much to help the reader play out the scene in their head. This makes each panel very graphically dense and dramatic because it needs to be, to compensate for the static and limited nature of a single frame. The reader can move between comic images at their own pace while their mind fills in the action of each described scene. With a movie, the audience is tied to the pace of the directors vision. So if each frame of the movie has super dense comicbook style imagery, the viewer becomes over saturated with thousands of dramatic frames and can not fully process the impact of everything on screen, Snyder tries to overcome this by using slo-mo, but we as the audience are conditioned to expect movies to run in real-time and so overuse becomes tedious and frustrating despite the "action" on screen. Looking at movies I love, there are lots of "normal" scenes where camera angles, colours, focus etc. Are kind of simple and aren't trying too hard to be "artistic". This gives our brain time to process what has happened or build anticipation for what is to come. So when action does use dramatic visuals, however briefly, our mind is "fresh" and can appreciate it far better" Sorry for the brain-dump. Anyway, great review 👍
Slowmo is fine at least I can enjoy the scene better than e.g. Transformers fight make me feel all looks same like a flash... I can see this movie is different actually I kind of like it different...😅😅
