Am i the only one who when my feet go right out to the end, it hurts my toes, escpecially my big toe? I have always preferred a little space in the toebox
No that's me too. But I noticed when the shoes you wear have a softer upper, it feels better. When I wear cheaper shoes, the ends are really tough and it ends up applying pressure on my toes
Josh, i bit of a hard questions. I think i have longer than normal toes. Because, shoes that are tight in the toe box tend to hurt my foot (top portion, basicly the area were the laces are on a traditional shoe). it got so bad that at one point it started to cause knee pain, i used a half size larger on my running shoes and it fixed the problem. i got some UA carbon leather, no room for my small toes but space is there for my fat toe. they are not very comfortable, they have gotten more comfortable as i started using them. but i like the extra room, i dont really like the tight toe box feeling. I have fairly flat feet, i dont know if that has anything to do with it. I just bought some nike vapors online in 11.5. i have some nike tiemp indoors in 11.5 that feel slightly tight in the toe box. but no pain, i would say they are the exact size for my small toes but my fat toe does have a small (maybe 1/4 inch if that) of room. this video says dont have any room. Not sure if i should go with a smaller 11 that would squeeze my small toes, causing slight discomfort or go with 11.5 so there is room for all the toes. I dont want to shorten the life of the shoe at the same time. what do you think?? sincerely, confused shoe buyer. ps. i started with: Adidas F5 size 11, that caused a lot of foot pain after about 45 mins of use. i then bought: Nike T90 III in 11.5 no pain comfortable, but with 1/4 inch of room in the toe box. i then bought: UA blur carbon 11.5. some discomfort at first. they feel better now, but they are tight int the toe box for my small toes. my fat toe and the next one over are good, with about 1/4 inch of room. but i need some AG cleats, because the league says FG shoes are tearing up the fields. soon every one will be required to wear AG shoes. what should i do!!?? i practice on dry natural grass, and play games 95% of the time on artificial grass. please help.

I bought a pair of cleats that were a full size bigger and after a year and a half the sole started separating from the upper, now I understand that I should buy the shoes with no room so that doesn't happen again. Thank you for recommending the TruSox because I have problems with my foot sliding inside the shoe.
I often deal with blisters on the inside bottom of my big toes (widest part of my foot). This is due to the width of the sole plate (last?), regardless of the upper. Leather boots that stretch but still have a narrow sole plate have caused problems for me. I appreciate both a lightweight barefoot feel as well as a more padded sensation, so my preference isn't as important as the correct fit to me. Looks like the Hypervenom Phantom 1 may be my best bet. Any other suggestions as far as a wider toe box last?
Hey, did the Nitrocharge's fit you perfectly? Or did you have to get a .5 or 1 bigger size for it? Cause Im a size 10.5 I wanna know if I should get a bigger one. THanks :))
I usually have thumb width at the end. I tried what people recommended and went for a tight fit a half size down. But, this just made my little toes feel uncomfortable. I usually have a 10. If I go down to a 9.5 though it doesn't feel comfortable around my little toes. Should I have the 10 where there's a thumb width at the end. These feel pretty comfortable, although there is some room at the end.
Hey Josh it's really nice of you to make videos like this to help the rest of us. I have a question though. I just got a pair of the Nike Tiempo Legacy in 8.5 US, the fit in the length is perfect but the width is too snuggy for me, when I take the insoles out, my feet feel a lot better. Should I wear the shoes on field without the insoles or should I get another pair of insoles to replace the Tiempo insoles? Which brand would you recommend for low profile and/or thin insoles?
Tien Thai You aren't going to find any after market insole that are thinner than the ones currently in the shoes. What you're better off doing is going to a local drug store that sells insoles, and but the thinnest ones possible. From there, just trace your current insoles and cut out the exact shape.
My toe nails keep going black from wearing my uk size 7 in the adi zero and superfly 3's. Do i need to go a half size up for more toe room? or do I need to change boots?
For people with wide feet - try Mizuno. My feet are generally quite wide and yet every single pair I've tried fit me very well. Currently enjoying my Neo Shin.
JOSH!!! i want to get the superfly 4 but i'm not sure if the flyknit will stretch like the tejin synthetic of the vapor 9 reflective colorway size 10 US, at first the vapor 9 was a bit tight in the toebox but stretched over time and now fit snug so what size should i get for the superfly
Theirs quite little space and I wanted to get them as close as possible without touching because you suggested that, but what I don't know is if the toes not being able to move a lot is a good thing
christopher hernandez There should be a lot of wiggle room inside of you soccer shoes. Of course being comfortable is still the most important thing, soccer shoes are supposed to fit tight.
Nick on the leather can I go down a size ???? I got the copa 18.1 size 9 1/2 and I have 1/2 inch on the toe should I go a half size ??? Does the copa cleats they stretch????
thanks for this. a quick follow up - do the same fitting rules apply to different terrain? ie carpet, astro, indoor, artificial grass? the type of leather/material used for the adidas predator absolado instinct TF shoes? I am looking to get a pair, how should they fit? Thanks.
Hy there Josh, love the videos! I was wondering if your comments on modern leathers not stretching as much in length as a copa mundial applied to the Nike Premier. I wear a US street size of 12, got 11.5 copas that are now almost too stretched out now after a couple games and just received Premiers at size 12.5. They fit SUPER tight in length and was hoping it would stretch in the way of the mundial , but then I came across this video :)
I feel like such an idiot, I bought a pair of nike premiers a few months back for my spring season but they felt too tight, luckily i hadn't worn them outside yet so i took them back in and traded for a pair of nike tiempo genio II's and they felt much better, but after watching this i realize that there is way too much space in the toe box (at least 1/2 an inch) looks like I'll be making another embarrassing trip back to the soccer store lol (fingers crossed it's a different worker)
JD Photography Ive had that experience too but i realized its all just personal preference. You dont want it to be too big or too tight but its up to you. Ronaldo wears his a size down for a tighter fit while Lingard wears his a size bigger for a relaxed fit.
+Parasite phelon is a upper model which gives u more of a feeling of a actual nike shoe phade is the last model which proably has less actual feeling of nike
Hi josh.. I bought the mercurial vapor 9 shoes 3 weeks ago..same size that my old mercurials 8 in mango version were. i got an black/blue toe nail and some pain so i visited the doctor. He drilled a little hole in my nail and the pain was more bearable. The point is that i have problems only with the right foot, i know that one feet can be a bit bigger than the other but i dont have like more than 2mm bigger right foot. i never had so much problems with mercurials.. Now i bought ctr's and they are much softer but the pain remains.. The toe nail hurts but i have about 4mm space in front and they fit perfect... What to do? Oh and i am 26 and i play soccer for 10 years now.. So i have some experience but never had theese problems. Regards from Europe!
I have the veloce 2 at home in US 12,5 and 13 and I can't decide which one to keep. The smaller one fits perfectly tight, specially in the front part. The top toe is the problem where I get to much pressure, 2mm more space und it would be great. With the bigger ones there is so much room, they are just not as tight as the smaller ones. And they feel wider, I have to lace them very carefully. With Adidas it's the same, us13 is to big, us12,5 concisely fits most of the time. And the most of my US13 boots I don't use, because the feel not tight enough on the field (but did so at try on)
I'm currently wearing a nike mercurial vapor 9 in the fast forward colorway and my toe has like half an inch of space between it and the tip of the shoe. Is that bad? I've been wearing a size 7 Tiempo Flight and I went a half size up for my CTR360 Maestri III so I figured that I'd wear 7.5 on the mercs too. I'm a bit worrier that the mercurials are too long for me. Is it?
i tottaly agree with your point that position deosn't matter but as a defender people prefer a more protective boot if they have troubles with injuries
I have a Question? after playing in the Field, YOur boot gets kinda Dirty and I am wondering if do y ou straight away go home to wash it or just leave it there at clean off with a wet cloth? Perhaps you could make a Video on how to wash and maintain Soccer Cleats for both leather and synthetic. thanks! Jason.
My ten year old has his mother's feet 4A. Can you suggest some mid cost (its Rec soccer) range boots. We have literally tried on 100 boots in the last 2 days. Thanks
They don't make narrow or wide widths for soccer cleats. Check out this video, it should explain some things you might find helpful th-cam.com/video/NmjIPThTHFE/w-d-xo.html
Hey josh, my size is 7.5uk but my Adidas Predator Instinct size 8 has space for my toe. I want to buy a new boots Nike mercurial vapor 10 should i get uk7.5 or uk8 ?
I want to buy a soccer boot online I wear 6 or 6 & a half but the hypervenom that I bought was a size 7 & a half whay should I do? (thinking about buying the superfly 4 specifically)
I have a question man, I bought some mercurials and you said to get them as tight as you can and I have no experience breaking in shoes so idk if what I got is fine or not. I am done growing Tho im 19. But I bought these cleats and my toes are very close to the top my question is, is it fine if my toes feel held down decently tight will these cleats stretch?? I can barely move my toes around. The cleats are synthetic leather and if they don't stretch I don't know if I could put up with them..
christopher hernandez They won't stretch much, but your feet should feel locked in and secure inside the boot. As long as they aren't uncomfortably tight, you should be good.
toothbrush + water, and then leather cleaner/softener (you can get them at your local pharmaceutical. this is if it's leather. if its a normal synthetic, then just water and toothbrush, not a spec of dirt left over after cleaning
Hey Josh, I found some "old-school" adidas adiCore iii or nike tiempo mystic ii. I wanted to get your opinion on them. They're $40 so I like the price. I have worn Synthetic`and leather F50s and tbh I hate them. I was wondering your opinion and maybe consider a more modern Leather boot.
Not true, a more lightweight boot built for speed may be better for forwards, as where you could wear boots in the midfield specifically to give you more control.
Hi Josh just bought a pair of Nike mecurial vapor x and feel they are slightly too big. My normal shoe size is uk10 these are a uk11. I wore double socks to wear them in which helped a bit but would you say 1,3cm space is too big and if so would wearing double socks solve my problem. I'm sure that my foot will grow a bit and with in a few months they should fit 100%. I Really enjoy the videos you post keep it up!
Ross Nowitz As long you're comfortable with how they fit, you don't really have anything to worry about. If you feel they're too big, I'd go for a smaller size.
hey josh, i have nike mercurial 9 victory and my left heel tends to slip whenever i take a shot which causes some bruising on the outside of the heel., My right foot is fine it just happens with my left foot. Should i go for a smaller size or a different shoe brand ?
Hey Josh, since indoor is about to start I don't know what indoor shoe to buy, I'm thinking of either the indoor astro turf copa mundial or the flat joma top flex. Can you do a comparison between both shoes? Thanks bro
Hi Josh. Have you ever got black toe nail from wearing snug fit football boots like that? My snug fit size is US8.5 but i always have that problem. however when i move up to size us 9, i have scratches in my toe. so what size should i stick with?
+Tung Nguyen I have not. That's something that will vary from person to person though. Some people are more sensitive to that kind of injury. You have to judge the fit and comfort level for your self. Check out this video th-cam.com/video/jnnVe4V7KgQ/w-d-xo.html
Josh, What is the length (in mm) of your feet from the end of heel to the end of your longest toe when you measure it with a ruler? Can you somehow manage to put your feet into size 8.5 U.S shoes if you push hard? What is the size for Adidas Adipure 11 Pro SL and Mizuno Supersonic Wave 3 that you have a half of thumb length in the toe box area? 9 U.S?
Hey Josh, I'm fifteen years old and I'm a size 11, and I want to get a pair of CTR 360 Maestri III's. I was wondering if I should go a size down or not.
Hey Josh, so i bought the new magista Obras. And in your review you said they ran a half size small. so I got a size 10 instead of a nine and a half. And it ended up being a little bit more than a 1/4 inch of extra space. But I'm still growing, should I return them or keep them?
Hi !!!.I wanted to ask why do nike shoes on FG, SG, ETC are not the same as turf and indoor shoes for example: the CTR 360 maestri for firm ground the 3D pad is not the same as a turf one ?
Hey josh, I currently wear the trequartisa 3's and i like them to fit snug with no space in the toe box but i found the insole a little to thick so i switched them to vapor insoles, but those are wearing down now so any suggestion on getting my ctr insoles to get a tiny bit thinner
i bought a nike hypervenom phantom cleats and they are a half size too much, what can i do? i prefer trusox so which one should i take? the thick one or one thin and one thick? thank you
i am a defender, do your recommend or think i can get away with a pair of mercurial vapor 8? (with regards to protection) right now, i wear a vapor 7, and its pretty good with protection so far.
Josh, I have ace 15.1 and they have a little space in the toebox region but they fit perfectly in the heel and the forefoot. Should i wear my soccer socks with an other but finer socks
Hey Josh, since the first model of the vapor 8 I've been buying size 8 football shoes when my original size is 7. So I've bought 2 pairs of size 8 football shoes but I've never had any problem or injury. Should I continue getting size 8 or should I stick to my original size ?
Well i went to the store and tried on a cheaper version of the predator lz 2 and it waz really tight so then i tryied the real ones and it felt perfect to me they were both the same size So does dizean that its more expensive because it has better fabrics and are they also wider kn the toe box
I have been stuck at size 8.5 for a year and a half now and I'm 16. I have always bought a half size bigger, but I believe I should buy a tight fitting shoe this time I don't think I will grow anymore. What do you think?
Hey josh im gonna need some help on this one. 1. Can I use my indoor soccer shoes on AG so I don't use my FG cleats and damage them and maybe injure myself 2. If question 1 is a no, my only option for AG cleats based on my budget is victory 5 turf cleats for 50% off. However my true to size is size 9US and these victory cleats are 9.5. Can i order them and just wear double socks when using them? Keep in mind im only playing on AG less than 5 times. So which situation is best? Money wise and safety/performance wise Thanks for the help! And thank you for the videos.
Mman180 You can use indoors on an AG field, you just won't have any traction. As far as buying a pair of shoes that are too big for you, I personally wouldn't do that, but that's your call to make. Wearing two pairs of socks will make them feel a little more snug, but certainly won't increase the size of your foot to where you won't notice the extra half size.
***** Thanks a lot bro. If you were in my situation would you wear the indoors, high end FG cleats (Hypervenom Phantom) or buy the half size big AG cleats? I'm gonna be on AG for team tryouts only (Possibly a training session/game or two)
Gage Moore They'll make your shoes feel a little more snug yes. If you're more comfortable wearing two pairs of socks, than do it. It is all about preference at the end of the day.
I'm going to get hypervenom phantoms. I used to have hypervenom phelon that used to be size 9 but don't fit me anymore. What size should I get for the hypervenom phantoms?
What is the best way to go about buying cleats through the web? Because I have the Predators LZ SL chrome and My toe box feels big wearing my regular size 8.5
Josh, i have 2 tiempo legacy's, one is size 9 (my usual size) and the other is 9.5. The tiempo's in size 9 are way too tight and uncomfortable in lenght, but, the 9.5's have some space in the toe box, so, they fit comfortable, but a little bit loose. I'm planning to get a Copa Mundial, which size should i get considering that the leather will stretch? Thank you so much!!! Your videos are awesome(sorry for my bad english i'm brazilian)
what are your thoughts on mercurial superfly vs magesta obra? I have not too narrow and not wide feet I would say and a bit flat! ive hear the superfly has a narrow fit and the magest a wide feet so I'm a bit torn? any suggestion
Hi, Josh! I have a question regarding to the Nike Tiempo Legend IV ACC FG. Actually I wear the new Maestri, but I made the mistake to go up to size 9.5 to allow for more width. So I rather have wide feet and so the sole kinda ripped of from the shoe itself. My question now is would the Tiempo fit to my feet (I have size 8/8.5 in normal shoes) an if yes, which size would you recommend me to choose? Always difficult to get the right size via the internet... Regards from Germany
Hey Josh, love your reviews they are very helpful. Just one question dealing with size. I have trouble finding a comfortable shoe because I'm size 13 and have a wide foot. Any suggestions?
Hi josh, thanks for the video. Here's a question I've been pondering for months. I understand for you, sizing is based on US. Some people around the world use UK as sizing. Tricky thing (especially ordering online) is that different brands have different conversions. Eg, Nike and puma's US9 is UK8 Adidas US9 is UK8.5 So let's say someone is using a predator instinct UK8.5 (which is a US9) and decided to purchase a hypervenom or an evopower in the same UK size, that will leave him with a US9.5 instead of a US9. Problem stays true as well the other way round. This could be a possibility why we sometimes have to go up or down a size. So my question is, which one is the most accurate? I feel UK is more accurate but would love to hear from you. Of course, this wouldn't be a problem if you are physically buying at the store. This is the reason I don't buy boots online (or at least try the boots at the local store first before ordering online) but there are boots like ryal, pantofola, joma and concave which I would like to try but unable to buy as there's no local stores (singapore) carrying them for me to test. These are the boots and it's sizing I've used before(just for your reference): t90 laser iii US9.5/UK8.5 11pro 2 US9/uk8.5 Lz2 us9.5/uk9 Legend v us10/uk9 Bomba pro us9.5/uk8.5 F50 leather us9/uk8.5 Evopower 1 us10/uk9 Powercat 1.10 us9.5/uk8.5 Hypervenom us9.5/uk8.5 Instinct us9.5/uk9 Copa us8.5/uk8 Typically, I will usually try 2 sizes starting with uk8.5 and go up or down half a size before buying.
Hello Josh! Thanks for the great videos! My feet heel-to-toe measure is 10.5". According to the Nike website size suggestion mi size is a 9.5US (26.7cm). The Adidas website instead says that I am a size 9US. Which would be my size? What is you heel-to-toe measure?
Jorge Andres Coppiano I have no idea what the my exact foot measurements are. You can't go off of sizing charts either. Size 9US will always be listed as the same length in centimetres, but that does not account for some shoes running bigger or smaller. If you notice in all of my videos, and in the written reviews on my website, I always mention the sizing of the boot, because they don't all run true to size. Size 9US isn't always a size 9US.
Hey Josh I bought a pair of tiempo legend shine through pack in size 8.5 I was going to get them 8 but they felt a bit to tight and on size 8.5 the toe part is has like a 1 inch of space should I get the size 8 or stay with the 8.5?
please talk about shoe surfaces like hard ground vs firm ground cus sometimes the field i play on is firm ground n has nice grass thats slightly wet and sometimes there are feilds that have more dirt than grass and more sand so is that hard ground still or soft ground
Awesome video man really answered a lot of my questions and I am now finally relieved and feel more satisfied with my purchase! Articles don't seem to say everything you say and people in stores seriously are knowledge deficient on sizing!! Thank you, you caused me to sign in and I don't always sign in to like and comment on a video (: good job
I had a half size shoe once and no matter what I tried, it never was as good as it should've been. You can try to double sock it, but eventually I sold mine and I think that's the only right choise in the case :) Cheers.
I'm pretty sure when a striker shoots at the goal he hits the ball with more force than when a keeper takes a goal kick...they don't even really strike the ball they just kind of chip it. Look at a goal kick closely.
I currently wear a size 11.5 Adidas f30, and I'm looking into the new T90 Acc's, and I figure I don't want to waste money jumping up to a high end shoe for it not to fit. You mentioned that the new t90's fit a bit snug, and I'm just wondering how the fit would compare to the f30's? My f30's fit my feet perfectly, and ideally I would like to get the t90's in 11.5 as well. And if anyone else has worn the new T90's and could speak to the fit it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
I wear a size 12, I have a good amount of room but I keep getting blisters under my toe what size should I change to stop this. I was also thinking what is a good boot for flat feet I'm thinking of going to a 11 pro but if I know any better boots I could try them. At the moment I wear a nike mercurial but they have no support would love to hear your opinion.
Alex Wiskar If you have too much extra room, your toes especially will slide around inside of the boot, which over time will result in blisters. Sounds like your shoes might be too big.
Am i the only one who when my feet go right out to the end, it hurts my toes, escpecially my big toe? I have always preferred a little space in the toebox

cdm27 As long as you're comfortable, it's fine.
***** is there a difference between Nike Hypervenom Phelon and Fade?
+Parasite phelon is a upper model which gives u more of a feeling of a actual nike shoe
phade is the last model which proably has less actual feeling of nike
How many soccer cleats should I have if I play on AG and FG for one season? I play goalkeeper and striker.
Hello, could you make a video on different sizes of soccer balls?
I have the veloce 2 at home in US 12,5 and 13 and I can't decide which one to keep. The smaller one fits perfectly tight, specially in the front part. The top toe is the problem where I get to much pressure, 2mm more space und it would be great. With the bigger ones there is so much room, they are just not as tight as the smaller ones. And they feel wider, I have to lace them very carefully.
With Adidas it's the same, us13 is to big, us12,5 concisely fits most of the time. And the most of my US13 boots I don't use, because the feel not tight enough on the field (but did so at try on)
+zrzzt That's your call. You have to feel comfortable. You have the shoes there, so it's just a matter of picking which ones feel best to you.
How old and tall are u size 15 us in football shoes is impossible to find
I'm currently wearing a nike mercurial vapor 9 in the fast forward colorway and my toe has like half an inch of space between it and the tip of the shoe. Is that bad? I've been wearing a size 7 Tiempo Flight and I went a half size up for my CTR360 Maestri III so I figured that I'd wear 7.5 on the mercs too. I'm a bit worrier that the mercurials are too long for me. Is it?
i tottaly agree with your point that position deosn't matter but as a defender people prefer a more protective boot if they have troubles with injuries
Hey Josh! Sometimes when I play football I feel that some balls can hurt if you kick them strong. What should I do? But other balls don't.
I'm fairly new to boots so if I am a size 12 in some Nike free runs would I also be a size 12 in boots ?
Not true, a more lightweight boot built for speed may be better for forwards, as where you could wear boots in the midfield specifically to give you more control.
hey could you do a video about cleats and positions on the field?? if you could that would be great!
I'm a 8.5 in mercurial but i wear 9 for hypervenom and they feel the same
Hi Josh just bought a pair of Nike mecurial vapor x and feel they are slightly too big.
Thanks Josh! Would you advise I feed the lace in the last lace hole from under to top or just leave top to under?
hey josh, i have nike mercurial 9 victory and my left heel tends to slip whenever i take a shot which causes some bruising on the outside of the heel., My right foot is fine it just happens with my left foot. Should i go for a smaller size or a different shoe brand ?
This video definitely helped me out, But why do you wear 9.5 in tiempo legend 6s and magista opus?
+Pikapi17 They run half a size small.
Josh,
What is the length (in mm) of your feet from the end of heel to the end of your longest toe when you measure it with a ruler?
Bryce Ogilvie That's your call. If they feel too big to wear right now, I would go for a smaller size.
how much length does going down a half size or a full size remove from the shoe?
Hi !!!.I wanted to ask why do nike shoes on FG, SG, ETC are not the same as turf and indoor shoes for example: the CTR 360 maestri for firm ground the 3D pad is not the same as a turf one ?
Hey josh, I currently wear the trequartisa 3's and i like them to fit snug with no space in the toe box but i found the insole a little to thick so i switched them to vapor insoles, but those are wearing down now so any suggestion on getting my ctr insoles to get a tiny bit thinner
thx i love ur videos!!! but the mercuial vapor 3 can it have shape on ur foot???
i bought a nike hypervenom phantom cleats and they are a half size too much, what can i do? i prefer trusox so which one should i take? the thick one or one thin and one thick?
thank you
What soccer cleats offer high quality carbon fiber? I would prefer a current model.
if I'm a size 8 trainer. would size 8.5 boot be good?
I fit in a pair of vapour 9 in length but their to narrow in size 7 what should I get instead?
he josh i have a question. how do u tie your laces so they dont get in your way when you play a game.
for a tight shoe like the mercurial superfly or vapor what regular shoes can you try on before buying these type of cleats
Nothing.
hi josh i don't know if you but do Adidas F50 Adizeros's last longer than nike mercurial 8 playing in them about 2-3 times a week
I LOVE TIEMPOS they have such nice leather. it streches to your foot and it just feels so nice
i am a defender, do your recommend or think i can get away with a pair of mercurial vapor 8? (with regards to protection)
right now, i wear a vapor 7, and its pretty good with protection so far.
Josh, I have ace 15.1 and they have a little space in the toebox region but they fit perfectly in the heel and the forefoot. Should i wear my soccer socks with an other but finer socks
+Elie Zafoe I'm not sure what you're asking?
there fit perfect in width but they are a little big in the toebox. Should I wear 2 socks ?
hi Josh, if you have too much space up in ur toe box, does it decrease ur shot power as long as the accuracy?
Nhan Dao If your shoes don't fit you properly, it can definitely have an impact on performance.
does size matter with super flys
+Luce650 lol
No if you're a size 7 buy a 12 they'll be the exact same
thanks for making this vid josh , it really hepled me big time! really appreciate your vids, very informative. keep it up , love your work.
Can you do a video on sizing between lower and top end
Hey Josh, since the first model of the vapor 8 I've been buying size 8 football shoes when my original size is 7. So I've bought 2 pairs of size 8 football shoes but I've never had any problem or injury. Should I continue getting size 8 or should I stick to my original size ?
Toes all the way to the end with no space in toe box? Is this right? How are you toes not destroyed from running and doing hard turns?
exactly. only on high quality leather and never downsize...
Well i went to the store and tried on a cheaper version of the predator lz 2 and it waz really tight so then i tryied the real ones and it felt perfect to me they were both the same size
So does dizean that its more expensive because it has better fabrics and are they also wider kn the toe box
how long have you worn the ctr insoles? if you haven't they'll probably compress and wear down a little over time.
I have been stuck at size 8.5 for a year and a half now and I'm 16. I have always bought a half size bigger, but I believe I should buy a tight fitting shoe this time I don't think I will grow anymore. What do you think?
I fit in the mercurial victory 3(takedown model from the vapor 8) could I fit in the vapor 8
can ag cleats be used on firm ground surfaces too?
When is this coming back
Hey josh how do you size if you have 2 different sized feet?
Can u do a adidas 11pro sl vs Nike tiempo legend iv elite comparison please wondering which one
Hey josh im gonna need some help on this one.
1. Can I use my indoor soccer shoes on AG so I don't use my FG cleats and damage them and maybe injure myself
Money wise and safety/performance wise
Thanks for the help!
I'm gonna be on AG for team tryouts only (Possibly a training session/game or two)
do you think double socking makes the fit of a soccer cleat tighter? would you recommend this?
Gage Moore They'll make your shoes feel a little more snug yes. If you're more comfortable wearing two pairs of socks, than do it. It is all about preference at the end of the day.
I'm going to get hypervenom phantoms. I used to have hypervenom phelon that used to be size 9 but don't fit me anymore. What size should I get for the hypervenom phantoms?
Eivm27 If 9 is too small, I'd probably go for a 9.5.
Henrique Soares I wear a size 9.5US in the Tiempos and a size 8US in the Copa Mundial.
The 9.5 have more space in the toe box than you recommend
BUT, i'm growing
Thank you josh!! One last question: Copa's stretch in lenght??
what are your thoughts on mercurial superfly vs magesta obra? I have not too narrow and not wide feet I would say and a bit flat! ive hear the superfly has a narrow fit and the magest a wide feet so I'm a bit torn? any suggestion
th-cam.com/video/nGBRJ1nvajA/w-d-xo.html
Regards from Germany
if i am about to buy superfly 3 do you recommend tight or go a half size up
Hey Josh, love your reviews they are very helpful.
Eg,
Nike and puma's US9 is UK8
Adidas US9 is UK8.5
So let's say someone is using a predator instinct UK8.5 (which is a US9) and decided to purchase a hypervenom or an evopower in the same UK size, that will leave him with a US9.5 instead of a US9.
These are the boots and it's sizing I've used before(just for your reference):
t90 laser iii US9.5/UK8.5
11pro 2 US9/uk8.5
Lz2 us9.5/uk9
Legend v us10/uk9
Bomba pro us9.5/uk8.5
F50 leather us9/uk8.5
Evopower 1 us10/uk9
Powercat 1.10 us9.5/uk8.5
Hypervenom us9.5/uk8.5
Instinct us9.5/uk9
Copa us8.5/uk8
Typically, I will usually try 2 sizes starting with uk8.5 and go up or down half a size before buying.

Ilse Nava If you gave that much extra space, than you may want to go with an 8.
Okay thank you but will they stretch out?
Ilse Nava In width yes, but not so much in length.
I really like the amount of effort you put in to this video. keep it up josh
please talk about shoe surfaces like hard ground vs firm ground cus sometimes the field i play on is firm ground n has nice grass thats slightly wet and sometimes there are feilds that have more dirt than grass and more sand so is that hard ground still or soft ground
Hi Josh
I just bought magista obra's but there tight which is good but my big toe hurts , is that just because they're new or too small?
sam mercer Only you know how they fit. You have to determine for yourself whether or not they're too small.
hey josh are buying high rated shoes like adidas f50 and nike mercurial vapor are worth the price
Awesome video man really answered a lot of my questions and I am now finally relieved and feel more satisfied with my purchase! Articles don't seem to say everything you say and people in stores seriously are knowledge deficient on sizing!! Thank you, you caused me to sign in and I don't always sign in to like and comment on a video (: good job
christopher hernandez Glad you found the video helpful.
Josh what if you believe that your shoe size will grow? Is it okay if you you buy a little bigger shoes than your normal size
How are leather different? As in what makes one leather better than other. For example Taurus and Kangaroo
I have a question. Are Nike Total 90 Laser III for wide or narrow foot?
What happened to the Nike Elite collection? Why did they stop producing them?
