I was in 1st or 2nd ,when my father told me about Gurdas Mann on a t.v. show that 'ye hai Gurdas Mann......bahut achha gata h'....it was around 1990-91...we had a black n white Beltek t.v. ,jis pe hm DD dekha krte the. I don't know Punjabi , but I have really enjoyed some top class Punjabi movies with subtitles, and the gateway for me to Punjabi was Gurdass Mann songs. Look at this natural B&W performance without any 4-6-8 packs, without any dance or action training. without any gelled, spiked or trimmed hairstyle.... its a pure gold.
