  • In this eye-opening talk, Mr. Sohail Hashmi elucidates the history behind the architecture of some of the most famous monuments of the world. He explains the origin of the various structures commonly seen in the famous monuments of the world. A lot of mind-boggling facts about architecture combined with his own life experiences are bound to make one ponder over the association of architecture and religion. Mr. Sohail Hashmi, an academician, historian and a filmmaker is well-known for vividly reconstructing the glorious past of the city through the immersive heritage walks that he conducts around the capital. He has cleverly captured the interest of children by curating the walks to especially pique their curiosities. Narrations of his lived experiences, which are interestingly inextricable from the city’s history, leave everyone craving for more. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

Architecture is an affirmation of our constant struggle against gravity , it start with an infant crawling and end with our demise
this made the Gothic cathedrals the first space program .

Everyone is outsider and everyone is agressor is such a nonsensical idea which only British and Islamic invaders peddled and later was lapped up by the Leftist. Huns, Kushans Sakas and leftover Greeks, Tibatans, Ahoms, we know were also migrants but they accpeted India as their land, marged with and contributed to its greatness and civilisation even as rulers. Muslims and British never did that, always insited they are outsiders, have diffrent religion, culture and civilisational values and are in India only to rule. They colonised rather than being migrants. Saxons in England have no such claims but Hasmis in India insist on their colonial value. That is what makes them outsiders even after many thousand of years.
