The click bait titles need to stop, makes me not want to trust your information… You’re building a brand, just provide good, honest information and people will find and stick with you!
Which part of this title was click bait? Doug legitimately said we got a win today.
Here is one point, not stressed enough. The longer Clemson and FSU have to remain in the ACC, the less the settlement $. If I am a school ( especially pikers like BC or WF) would I rather have more $ or an extra year of Clemson and FSU in the ACC?
I’m not understanding how ANY of this is a “Big Win” for FSU. It sounds like we’re basically just stuck in court and in the ACC for the foreseeable future. If the goal is to get out of the ACC, how is this moving is closer to that?
Click bait headlines get ppl to click
He does that all the time
It’s pivotal which case comes to a conclusion first. Whichever case, the one in Florida or NC, ends first, that ruling would supersede any other. Matter of fact, the judge in the case the ends second would not rule against the other case. This was why ACC rushed to file first. This slows down the case in NC, giving the one in Florida a better chance to end first or at least not severely lag behind. Generally FSU would get more favorable ruling at home versus away. At least that’s the way I understand it listening to several lawyers on this platform.
The only winners are lawyers on both sides.,
I do not believe the Appellate Court in Florida will touch this due to the high profile of this FSU/ACC Case. Especially, if FSU receives a favorable ruling from Judge Cooper. Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody should be of greater concern to the ACC. She is not going to play nice with them.
I hope everyone in Tallahassee is safe! As a 1975 graduate of FSU who just had two tornadoes rip into Portage, Michigan where I currently reside, I can appreciate the challenges surrounding the cleanup efforts. The 135 mph winds left over 200 buildings damaged, and 80 homes rendered uninhabitable.
WildUte on the B12 Mafia calculated that the ACC would need to demand to $290 million payouts each from Clemson & Florida St in order to make the other ACC teams whole until 2036 assuming a reduced ACC media deal with the exit of the ACC’s top two FB schools.
Still in the ACC and will be for another season or two contrary to what TJ has been spouting for months.
Don’t forget AG Moody also filed suit against the ACC so they are dealing an additional lawsuit aside from FSU and Clemson.
The ACC Administrators are getting a little nervous about the Florida AG snooping around and looking into their Misappropriation of Public Funds. She is going to start locking them up so FSU can leave the criminal organization for good. By the time they figure it out in court, in 10 to 15 years, FSU will be long gone and the ACC won't even exist.
So, basically nothing is going to change, until at least August? I’m afraid this whole thing is going to drag out a lot longer than we all thought and hoped for. I hope I’m wrong! Go NOLES!
I do not think so, I think this will be settled before the season start! Also we will know what the landing spot for FSU will before the season start.
Just noticed the Victor Floyd photo. That’s early 80s stuff right there
I wonder with this delay and SC court recommending mediation will FSU/Clemson and the ACC decide to settle? My guess is that ESPN is going to pressure the ACC to settle before they consider renewing or renegotiating the media deal extension.
TJ, somewhat unrelated to this specific video, but what does Doug think about the ACC holding its annual spring meetings in FL, yet arguing in court that it doesn’t do business in FL?
Man, it normally takes me 40 mins to get to work. It took me about 2 hours today. It’s wild here in Tally.
GO NOLES
I think the plan all along was to be out of there by the end of the 2025 season and open up the 26th season in a new conference
Totally agree
I like The Big Mountain sticker Doug has in his background.
The acc and ESPN has to turn over TV contracts to the courts and the schools in the acc under law they have to turn over the contract or be charged of criminal offense
Big win? TJ the liar like usual.
I'm confused about what case he's talking about becasue I don't know the Judge's name - am I right in thinking he's saying that FSU won a stay in the NC case until the NC Supreme court decides the waiver of sovereign immunity under FL law?
FACC FFACC
Correct.
So... this was basically a stall tactic that worked?
Not a stall tactic. FSU disagrees with the judges ruling on jurisdiction and has appealed that decision. The fact that this allows the Florida case to move forward faster is just great for FSU.
Am I missing something here? WHY is this good news for FSU?
Now the ACC race to the courthouse to shop venue has been neutralized to a degree since the FL and SC cases now will keep going and pass the timeline of the NC case. So it’s more likely the NC judge will just let the other two cases set precedent.
Your shows are so good. No fluff just great stuff!
Under how many "show" names does this cat have? Lmao
Delays in the courts are good for FSU. All this legal stuff in nonsense. ACC won't be able to negotiate a new TV deal with ESPN while they have pending legal battles.
Soooooooo? Lol
4:00 NOT AGAINNNN!
So many are hoping for the B1G, I’m still sitting here hoping that ESPN negotiates us into the SEC.
What happened to all of the bombshells that would lead to FSU leaving the ACC in a few months? What’s this clown going to do for clicks until August?
Not sure, but guaranteed you'll be here! 😂
FSU Attorneys can't agree to what, specifically? Is that because they want the ESPN docs fully public?
Sunshine Laws of Florida mandate that all contracts relied upon by the attorneys be fully public. FSU attorney are legally prohibited from agreeing to have full disclosure while the public filings are redacted. A just will have to order the redactions.
@@dougrohan I'm assuming you meant judge not just.
Like they did in SC?
TJ... Chill with the clickbait bs. Go back and watch your previous videos that got us to subscribe and support the channel. Keep up with the click bait and we will find a new channel quicker than you can blink.
Was this not a win? Did I misunderstand Doug?
Thanks Doug
Woohoo!!!
So with all due respect, does FSU and Clemson not see how unethical and tactfully poor this entire lawsuit is? No one forced either school to the grant of rights and at the time each Chancellor voluntarily signed this CONTRACT. If every contract was where you could just say I'm out, our entire economy and society could potentially crumble. The ESPN extension was still agreed to by all schools. ACC schools made record revenue the last fiscal year. I personally think each school should be ashamed to try to get out of the grant of rights until the deal has concluded. This basically enables the so called super conferences, it corrupts the essence of collegiate sports, and puts a price on their integrity. Let's not forget that FSU and Clemson are bigger fish in the pond. Be careful what you wish for or you could soon be sitting for quite a while in the middle of a super division with a bigger recruiting gap but a few more bucks in the account.
There is not an argument that FSU and Clemson didn't sign. The argument is that the ACC has not help up their end of the bargain. You have an issue with FSU and Clemson trying to protect themselves if they feel the ACC breached their contract?
@@DoubleFriesNoSlaw How did the ACC breach their contract or not hold up their end of the deal? They also entered into a contact with ESPN to produce revenue for the conference, not just FSU or Clemson. I think the ACC could have gone shorter with the contract, but it was for the greater good of the conference. The new contracts for the SEC and Big Ten will certainly generate higher revenue for those conferences, but this is the time when the ACC should stand united and not have core schools defect in the name of protecting themselves. It's greed no matter how you angle this.
@@zakwilkerson1620 Buddy, respectfully, that's what the entire lawsuits are about... "How did the ACC breach their contract or not hold up their end of the deal?" -- just read the suit or watch our playlist on it to find out what the schools are alleging.
Actually, you are wrong about the members agreeing to the extension by ESPN. The ACC told the members that if they didn’t sign, ESPN was going to walk away. That was a fake ultimatum. Then, ESPN wanted to back out of the deal in 2021, and the ACC, without getting anything in return and without getting approval from the members, asked ESPN to delay their decision to 2025 and gave them the unilateral option to extend until 2036 for the same 4.5% annual escalation rate. Nothing that the ACC has done has been on the up and up or for the benefit of its members. They are worried about their own survival.
Wow, talk about click bait. Sounds like fsu is playing 2025 in the bum ass acc
Bigly News Bruh……..
Big 12 bound for the sugar canes
And I’m not sure you’ve noticed but no one’s courting FSU these days, where will they end up? Do you want FSU in the Big Ten?
@@portisforpresident4535 I’m not sure you’ve noticed the amount of revenue FSU brings in for the ACC & the amount of eyeballs on the tv when they’re playing; exactly why they’ll end up in a power 2 conference with Clemson. Cant say the same about y’all 😂
Okaaaay but you haven’t answered the question. Do you want FSU in the big ten?
ACC is going to settle after July 1. So this is little more than a tie.
There goes at June 30 hope
So isn't Boo Kerrigan voting to keep FSU out of the playoffs a neglect of fiduciary duty by the ACC?
Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa let me understand when I'm saying to you do this is only reason that sounds like a big win for Florida State because it is and let me explain to you why I said this how about FSU winning big in the ACC lawsuit is because Florida state is now free to go to the Big ten conference that's what this all means.? @tonedef3779
