Daisy may not be in Mario Golf, but playing Plum is the closest to Daisy as Plum is voiced by Jessica Chisum, who voiced Daisy in Mario Tennis 64. Mario Golf 64 is the only time she's playable. In the Game Boy Color version, she's a redhead who only explains what the golf terms are in the dictionary menu. In Smash Bros Melee, she is found on a trophy and in Brawl, she's a sticker.

This game has a huge learning curve compared to most Mario sports games, so much respect for them suffering through this. How TCNick was able to adapt to the lag to get a perfect shot a few times is genuinely incredible! Playing Mario Golf with lag sounds miserable as it is the sort of game that requires like perfect timing! The thing is the sequels to this game all soften the steep learning curve by adding some quality of life enhancements to make things slightly easier.
I'll share some tips: The bottom right corner shows the lie of the ball where it's currently sitting. The 2 numbers underneath represent the % of power going into the shot depending on where you press A for your accuracy. The further away from gray line you are the less amount of power will go into your shot. Also the red line under your accuracy will change depending on where your ball is sitting. So you can't use a 1W etc. inside the rough or bunker unless you're really accurate. Plus you may have picked up while playing but maximising your power and accuracy on a power shot will not use one of your six power shots up. Keep improving guys - looking forward to seeing more!

It took me a few years to gain the confidence to play the true golf game. And there's a huge learning curve to it. Plenty of info onscreen, as well as rudimentary knowledge of physics, ball spin, and a lot of mental math, precision, and coordination that goes into getting really, really good. Everyone suffers as a beginner, but when you really put the time in, it's one of the most satisfying games to master. This game, and its Gamecube sequel (Toadstool Tour) actually got me to take a golf class at my university the summer following my freshman year of college. That was nearly a decade ago at this point; I need to find myself a cheap pitch & putt course and actually play a game and put balls in holes. Thanks for the reminder to get out there and do it, I guess.

This game actually has a crazy amount of characters for a basic golf game. Unlockable characters include DK, Bowser, Metal Mario, as well as 5 other regular human OCs, AND they all have 4 skins so all 4 players can still be the same character. 72 options!!
I absolutely would love a series on this. Not just strictly for Vern's suffering, but for the insanity that will ensue in the later courses. Some of them are pretty nutty, and I'd love to see the reactions to them. Also glad to see I wasn't the only one having delay issues. The delay on this game is pretty prominent and it makes it pretty hard to make some good shots from time to time.
Man, the characters in the intro reminded me of how great the GB version of Mario Golf is! I wish Nintendo and co. kept making the RPG-style Mario Sports games alongside the standard console versions.

There's a cheat code to unlock everything except Mario's Star. On the title screen you have to do this. D-pad down 2x, left 3x, right 3x. Right stick down 2x, left 3x, right 3x. If you hear a jiggle, that mean you did it right and unlocked almost everything.
