Isn’t the whole idea of SOCD is to not release one input , watching your inputs you’re still doing the usual counterstrafe. This is probably due to it being drilled into your brain mechanically but I don’t see a key continuously being used
Yeah it is. I was comparing the speed to let’s say holding down a key while pressing the other key. Should have cleared that up in the video. Even with normal counter strafe it reduces the aim reset from what I felt that’s what I was trying to show
@@Bluahhgotcha , I guess I completely forgot it also registers normal counter strafing a lot faster by not allowing an overlap in key strokes. Good video tho

it prevents accidentally cancelling out when pressing both keys (overlap). but to cs you still need to do the same old actions of A+D spamming, it's just almost perfect now. what you refer to is jiggle peek, it now works by keep pressing one key and spamming the other. but imo if you do it too fast, it's doesnt benefit much because the whole point is making you harder to get hit, but if you move just incredibly small steps, it's almost as if you're standing still. so the tempo of how fast you spam/jiggle is definitely important.
@@noobdestroyer5454 i disagree, with W and S you only use one finger so you dont have the problem as with A and D where one input is blocked by the other cancelling out any sideways movement, rather it is the case that , for example you accidentally touch the S key stopping your forward momentum when trying to quickly press W

It removes the human error where you don't let go and press a key at the same time because it releases the key automatically for you when you press the other. This also means you have no input overlapping and can strafe and long jump way better.
There is no use to use this on W and S as long as you use one finger to switch between these. There are only usefull when you dont have to move your fingers to trigger the counterkey
@@KM4S-p5j I use space for jumping as well as mouse wheel down so wouldn’t work for me. This works for me I just use my middle finger to have both W/S activated
I tested both, they achieve the exact same thing, but wootings implementation gives you more flexibility in individualising it more (Actuation Point + Rapid Trigger + SOCD, each on per key level, at once). Hence, since you can fine-tune it more, Wootings SOCD is slightly better than Razers Snap Tap.
Nice comparison

do you use rapid trigger aswell and desubtick binds?
Yeah rapid trigger is on
No binds

SOCD for both, because you can cointerstrife W an S the same way. RS is not as good.

What finger so you use for S? Your thumb?
Middle finger. Just press w and lower your middle finger so it presses S at the same time. Only works cause of low actuation point

I dont have to option for SOCD why?
