about me 🌷
I’m Makayla! I’m twenty-one years old and a rising fourth year at the University of Chicago. I’m studying Creative Writing for my major and Astronomy and Astrophysics for my minor, and I also like to read and cook in my free time. I grew up in Maine and studying has always been one of my favorite pastimes, so that’s why you’ll find a whole bunch of college vlogs, study motivation, book recommendations, and academic tips on my channel. You’re in good company if you’re into these things, so subscribe for more productivity content!

One tip I completely disagree with is that you should order all of your books before school. Many classes, once school starts, don't even use some of the books listed in the syllabus or the professor sometimes gives you online free copies.
Yes that’s such a good point! I take a lot of literature classes so usually every book on the list is necessary for me to get, but that’s very true. I also like emailing the professor to check if online pdfs are acceptable too bc that saves so much money!
Thank you for the helpful tips. :)
This video is so helpful! Thank youuu
Thank you! 🌱✨
Great video, you covered so many valuable points.
🍁WOW!!! Can’t believe it’s so close for you to go back to college! Great points & suggestions you gave👍! 🍁Have a WONDERFUL YEAR🍁
I can’t believe it either!! Hopefully we’ll be able to get together again before I leave! 💓
So articulate, loved it!
this was so helpful!
Hi, I just subscribed! 😊 I had watched one of your previous videos the other day and paused this video to subscribe. ❤
Do you have any videos explaining how to make a budget for college students?
Thank you so much!! 💓 and I haven't made a video entirely devoted to planning out a budget but I've done a "what I spend in a week" before with a few tips - here's the link! th-cam.com/video/u7QIJcI1bC0/w-d-xo.html
That's a good idea though, I'll eventually make a budgeting video!
@@MakaylaMacGregor You are so welcome and thank you so much for the link! I'll definitely check it out. 👍😁💖
This was a pretty good video! I did your first tips about decluttering my digital stuff and it was needed. I'll also start decluttering my closet and cleaning my room altogether. It's my first year of university actually! So yeah, rlly helpful video, you've got a new subscriber :))
I’m so glad!! Thank you so much and have fun with your first year :)
Hi Makayla! Please bring your premed friend and do more content with her! I want to transfer to uchi as a chem premed, but I am not finding any info or resources on that. Are there any chem people at uchi that are premed?
I understand your point in all this, but it's overwhelming.
