- Toyota Fortuner is a mid-size SUV body on frame. The Fortuner is built on the Hilux pickup truck platform (Toyota IMV platform). this generation is a "Second generation" which starting in 2015 to present.
this Fortuner is a facelift model which features a new front-end and rear bumper design, a new headlights and tail lights, new wheels design and new instrument cluster. this Legender variant is a sporty version of regular fortuner, the key different are : front-end and rear bumper design, a new headlights with LED Sequential turn signal lights (front-rear), 20" wheels and gloss black on a top. this particular car is a top of the line 2.8 Legender 4X4.
Both the Fortuner and Hilux share the transmission and engine together with two diesel engines (1GD-FTV 2.8Litre and 2GD-FTV 2.4Litre). The 2.7-litre and 4.0-litre petrol engines were available with Dual VVT-i. The second generation Fortuner features a part-time 4WD system instead of the full-time 4WD system used in the previous generation. For a facelift variants with 2.8-litre engine, it has been tuned up from 177 PS in pre-facelift model to 204 PS and torque is increse from 450 Nm to 500 Nm. This particular car is a top of the line 2.8Litre Diesel 4WD, so it come with 204 PS and 500 N-m torque mated to 6-speed automatic transmission

With all cars getting all high tech , I love The simple interior , you have all that you need , amazing ac and a decent infotainment. Everything that will last you long , won’t ever breakdown , unlike these new sensor loaded cars which are installed to breakdown eventually with little practical use .

Also the price of the Fortuner would increase due to the re-engineering cost of the vehicle... That's why a sunroof in the Fortuner is not necessary as it would just have problems in the long term like it won't open, get jammed, the glass would break, etc....

Sun roof and moon roof are missing as usual hence it's better to go for Ford Everest to experience complete family SUV feel.
But fortuner looks is better
Sunroof is actually quite useless unless you live in places like America or elsewhere. It also reduces headroom to compensate for the motors and rails.

Yes u r right but true and original features and performance matters. But I completely agree with u that Ford should immediately improve it's looks with futuristic shades to compete with Fortuner to double the sales because it has everything that costly Toyota Land cruiser has in it's 1/3rd price with full dignity of American brand and with it's Own massive look and I also want to add that it should bring its new 3.2 BS6 engine in India very soon because we truly missing that punch of power.

U r right but Sun and moon roofs are symbol's of richness, dignity and ultimate luxury as a family car or prestige of family and 40 lakhs vehicle must and should have it as optional in India and best thing is Ford Endeavour has it and its Sun roof and moon roof makes it superior than Fortuner and gives competitive edge to compare it with Toyota Land cruiser of 1+ crores SUV of higher segment in less than 40 lakhs price segment in India and I don't know about its American model service status but in Australia it is available as Everest.

Personally I feel like sunroof is overated especially in india. Both my car's already have a sun roof and my excitement about it only lasted 2 days. I even forgot that it's there after a month or two.

U wont understand.... Sunroof doesn't even matter, it affects air cooling system in the roof and innova and FORTUNER have ACs fitted on the roof.
It might be true that sunroof feel might for couple of days... but I don’t agree with plastic it’s very much up to the mark and with respect to ownership of Toyota car I own four of them Toyota Liva Toyota Etios Toyota Innova and 2018 Model Fortuner but to get a sunroof in such a expensive car I felt it so I stated it might have roof AC but there must be alternative even the cooling of other car with sunroof are also very much up to the mark it all personal opinion so please don’t take other wise
