She’s probably the most emotional one of the 3 protagonists made by Silent Team. Unlike Harry or James, she expressed her emotions a lot during cutscenes and gameplay. Probably my favorite protagonist in horror games
@@bluesyrupgc4224 very much so. It was a different experience handling a protagonist who was a lot more expressive and emotional. Seeing her choke up at the end but also scaring the detective. Man, I loved Heather, James and Harry. All of them had unique qualities
@@joshgroban5291 Yeah. I love how they handled Heather’s story. She was sadden over Harry’s murder, of course, but she doesn’t have to show it every fifteen minutes. Just a few cutscenes and observations are enough to let the players know how she’s struggling to cope with her father’s death.
i fucking cried a river when she said he loved her as his very own daughter. i always needed a father that would love me just as much and my wishes never came true
This is the superior, intelligent version of the, "he wasn't your daddy!" scene. Harry wasn't her dad in the traditional custom but he was her father through and through.
This is one of the greatest scenes in videogame history. At least in my opinion. Mood, sounddesign, motion capture & acting performance are great and the song is fantastic! This gives me goosebumps every time I'm watching it even though it's such a simple yet so complex and interesting scene. And that was in the early 2000s! This is still very impressive.
2003. Have you ever imagined that there's games nowadays that can't do that kind of thing with all the resources they have? Everyday I pray that some bigger company buys Konami or it's IP's and bring back Silent Team, cause man, those people were some geniuses.

The song "letter from the lost days" playing here absolutely makes this scene iconic to me. This is my favourite scene in silent hill because it fits the series so well
I like how when Heather explains, she almost feels like she is both taking Alessa's story as if its her own, especially with the whole, she could have someone dead if she wished it part. I mean I find it fitting she concluded being both Cheryl and Alessa as one
This scene is massively underrated. The music, the scenario, the voice acting, how it connects to the first game - just perfect storytelling. Heather lamenting Harry’s death is incredibly touching too. Still effective 20 years later.
I've always wondered if the utterly deserted streets carried on from where Heather lived all the way to Silent Hill. Miles upon Miles of nothing but empty towns and cities
after playing the first Silent Hill, it´s such a beautiful scene. Awesome music, great dialogues, and it´s like Alessa, Cheryl and Heather herself speaking in diferent moments... it´s just perfect.
I thought this was a video showcasing some secret in this scene, but I am greeted with the actual scene and tears over how good of a man Harry Mason was. Love you, dad. Hope you’re resting somewhere far off from Silent Hill’s gods.
Been gaming since I was 8 or 9 years old, and I gotta say, even with the technology of video games becoming more advanced and allowing games to show more expression and become more cinematic, I still miss cutscenes like this in video games where they would advance the story, develop the characters, and give you as the player a nice break between the action of actually playing the game all at one time. I used to love this cutscene in SH3 because it did just these things.
No. I'm sure they will screw up and make like the Silent Hill movies. This must need to be make by someone who fully understand all the symbolism behind this game if you want something that can be as good as the games, so in the end it's a really stupid idea.
I'm sorry but that series would definitely get fucked, just look at the movies. Maybe a proper horror studio like blumhouse or a really good Japanese studio, I can't name any studios tho
The Secret That is Reincarnation Aleesa/Heather Cheryl Mason Telling the truth been said in video all along because we're playing as Reincarnation Aleesa Gillespie in Heather Mason half soul all along because Aleesa was Reborn in New body of Cheryl as known we silent hill fans would call Reincarnation Aleesa/Heather for now

The fact that Harry loved Cheryl like she was his own and that she loved him just as much back makes it so heartbreaking.
Harry Mason, it was a privilege to control your movements in the summer of '02. You will be remembered... with honour.
