Don't forget that Le Mans wasn't the last race in 2022. There were some more in the series - also with Michael. So there's a chance you'll see some of this past action in future videos. And in 2023 there are only AM drivers in LMGTE - I'll lay my money on Michael in the car #88 of Proton Competition.

I did some small dirt track racing and other cars ruining your race was always the biggest problem.
This show looks like it’s about Michael but secretly we all know it’s about how Richie always saves the day;) What a legend. Thanks all for making this great journey.
Richard really has been the unsung hero of the series with Arne probably a close 2nd, these last few years has made me realise how underrated he actually is, 4 wins at Le Mans, a winner at the Spa 24, hours, the Nurburgring 24, GTE-Pro World titles, 3/4 years ago a lot of people who watch the episodes and/or comment here wouldn't have known who he was if they saw him walking the down the street but now they do know of him and he's become one of their favourite drivers

This is better than Netflix honestly. There's no insane overhyped drama. It's very straight forward and well storied. They knew they didn't need to manufacture anything.
Better than Netflix for sure. People can say it's a glorified Porsche ad but you can definitely say the same about Drive to Survive and F1 as well.
@@wiegraf9009 I honestly think that as productions around racing go, it's one of the best out there. Porsche does a lot to push its racing pedigree as advertisements but through 4 seasons I never felt like I was being "Sold" at all which I appreciated. It also felt like they allowed the true character of their drivers and team to come through without alteration outside of a few private moments for the drivers and team which I totally support.

One of the best shows I've seen, the way it was filmed, the cinematography, and all the behind-the-scenes action. This really was a triumph for Porsche and all those involved with this. Well done.
Mike is one of my fav actors and once i knew he was racing i started following him... Since 1st season of ELMS he had a rough time... Its been a long time watching him race year after year he and i and im sure millions of other fassbender fans have went through alot.... Mike fassbender 1st place here we come!

The honesty and humility of the protagonists makes this series authentic and quite inspiring! Thanks for taking us with you on the road to Le Mans!

@@frguitar777 this series depicts a lot of failures and also troubles to deal with those failures. In this competitive environment with a lot of stress, people are at their edge. Michael seems to be willing to go over his personal limits to achieve his personal best. I still think he's humble about his performance. Hollywood would've told another story.
I can't believe it but I actually have tears in my eyes, hearing that this series will continue even further! The series itself was already so emotional for me because Michael is one of my favorite actors and I've been in love with motorsports since I was a little child. This is just so amazing. Thank you so much Porsche and Michael! Much Love!

Micheal is incredibly hard on himself, that second crash at night was 100% not his fault he was slammed off the track, I can't imagine the pressure and mental struggle, but what Micheal has achieved was remarkable and worthy of praise and congratulations. Congrats to the entire team at Porsche and I can't wait to see what's next!
it was so relatable wasn't it? I tried to put myself in his shoes... and probably i would react the same way... I am 42 and this show me what a champion mentality is all about.. to be able to compartmentalize bad things and still push forward... i don't have that ability and gained so much respect for those who have it. We usually don't get to see this things on the background.. amazing to see.
Yes but we saw it from the outside. He was inside, during the night, and probably didn't understand it was not his fault at all. And being an AM driver at his first LeMans he obviously thought, after the accident in practice, that it was his fault again and you can only imagine what was going through in his head thinking he could have ruined all the work of his team and the mechanics in particular that had to work so hard to rebuild the car. Everyone of us would have reacted the same way, probably even after seeing on a screen what really happened. A more expert driver would be able to reset his mind a lot easier, but that comes with the experience and years of racing at high level, and we shouldn't forget that, after all, Michael is a motorsport fan that had the chance to pursue his dream, so it's perfectly understandable that, between the ups and downs of a season, he can blame himself even when it's not his fault when there's a huge crash, especially if you're an empathetic person and a "team player".
From some of the stuff I read at the time too, the practice incident root cause was eventually found to be a puncture.
he was very slow , and as real life at the roads , if you are much slower than the traffic you are in danger .
but ! if I were in his position, I might have broken down emotionally .

Can't believe it's been four years since I started watching this series. What an incredible journey!
Such an amazing series, Lietz is just an amazing driver and comes across so modest said it before he’s a legend. Fassbender put himself under so much pressure and you could feel his pain but they finished. So glad it looks like another series hopefully with the same people.

SO happy Porsche put Richard Lietz in the spotlight and showcased his continued amazing race career, You can tell Richard is such a humble guy, he deserves so much praise. He was there from pretty much the beginning of Porsche's GT Program, couldnt have ended in a better way!
To be honest, the real heroes of this series are Sebastian, Arne, Felipe Laser, Ricard Leitz and the mechanics. Seriously. Kudos to you fellows. A special mention to Matt Campbell and Zach. A wonderful team and a wonderful story. PORSCHE. You better come back late 2023 with another season. IT'S AN ORDER!

Die Chemie des Teams, ob es Fahrer, Renningi oder Mechaniker waren ist großartig. Es präsentiert den Rennsport in einem schönen Licht. Man kann aus den 4 Seasons soviel mitnehmen und lernen.
Ich bin ein sehr großer Fan von Richard Lietz geworden. Für mich einer der besten Rennfahrer die ich je gesehen habe. Er ist eine führende Person ohne groß aufzutragen. Trägt sein Team auf den Schultern, wenn es sein muss doch hält sich nicht für etwas besseres. Michael Fassbender hätte es nicht besser Treffen können als mit den Fahrer die ihn an die Hand genommen haben.
Wünsche allen Beteiligten sehr viel Erfolg in der Zukunft und nur das Beste.

Richard Lietz - Legend. Determined, straight to the point, clear opinions and feedback, but at the same time humble and sympathetic. And of course a hell of a driver.
Richard's 1st place was a very touching moment, he's a great driver and a great person! And I'm excited about the series continuing this year too.
Normally I tended to feel sad after the end of series... but the word from Michael: "... it can't be the end of the journey" followed by the "TO BE CONTINUED IN 2023" completely lighted me up. INSANE!!! Thank you all for making this series or being part of it!
I watched the entire video breathless. I took a deep breath at the end where "To be continued in 2023" was shown. Thank you Porsche. Keep on telling this story as you have mastered it to perfection.

I actually got a little emotional watching this. It's been an incredible series; thank you so so much, Porsche, for sharing such a high quality piece of entertainment to us for free. I have loved every second of watching Michael and the team grow, fail and learn, and ultimately accomplish what they set out to achieve. You have captured something very special over the last 4 seasons, not just with the story but the cinematography, the pacing, the music choice, the portrayed emotion, etc - everything about this has just been incredible. I'm looking forward to seeing where the journey takes us next!
The real star is the Film Crew with Fassbender in a supporting role. Magnificent job to the filmmakers.

it's nice that Richard got his much deserved dues at the end of it all, the unsung hero of the series in general for me and probably everyone else, Michael wouldn't have made it to the 24 hours without him let alone finish it or even get through the event after the Wednesday night crash, yes i'm sad the road to Le mans is over but at the same time now interested to see what the 2023 season brings for Michael it more or less confirms a return to the 24 hours doesn't it?

Don't think a private team has the budget to keep on rebuilding the car.
@@JL-cn1qi It had already been rebuilt for Monza and the other races last year. And of course these "private" teams are heavily backed by Porsche.
He needs a sports psychologist. Otherwise it's just going to be more of the same.

People are missing so much by just watching the regular tv coverage and I really hope more teams are going to start with this type of format soon.

To race at Le Mans is a very rare and special achievement for anyone. To finish the race it's even more special. To get on the podium, wow. To win, simply the best. I just want to congratulate Michael for his ups and downs, his courageous effort, hard hard work and demonstrating character by pushing through and ultimately achieving his dream.
Secondly, congratulation to everyone else in the team along the seasons. The backbone of this project. We got to meet some of them and connect with their story as well but also everyone else working tirelessly in the background...and they did have their work cut out for them. But that is what makes a good team!
Finally, as a visual artist and professional, my hat's off to the production team of the series. Just impeccable! You can be proud of yourselves for breathing life into this epic and immersive story. A spectacular experience to remember forever.

I was recommendeding this series to someone and I summed it up as, it's what Drive to Survive could have been. Such an emotiional and powerful representation of the years of hard work and a rare look behind scenes of all involved. 10/10.

Fantastic, beautiful series which had me emotional and on the edge of my chair throughout. Thank you all, and now you have given me something to look forward to for 2023
I am a dreamer and I have immensely imerse myself into this story, almost emotionaly connecting to what Michael was going through. I have nothing but the utmost respect and praise for all people involved and off all carmakers contesting in ELMS Porsche is my favourite.
So, as many of others, I would like to see a "backstage" episode about the whole venture. From training, logistic, cars, tyres, fuel, hotel accomodation, auto-leases etc. That would be a gamechanger for me. We have seen all the badges and glow, now its time meet the man "paying the bill".
I can NOT tell you how much I've enjoyed these series...best racing content out there!
That was amazing, Thank you Porsche, Thank you Michael, Thank you Everyone, from the racing team and from the media team, quality is insane, on par with Porsche car quality.
I saw people often were hard on Michael and then were surprised he was hard on himself. Try to put yourself in that situation and you wouldnt be able to do any better, the fact that he was so relatable was a surprise - he really cared a lot about all of those things, he wanted to be amazing. And on a road to be amazing you have to fail but it is very very hard to keep going. But he was there on the next week, on the next stint. Amazing.

Congratulations to everyone involved - not just Michael, but to Richard, Sebastian, Arne, Felipe, Matt, Zach, the rest of the team and crew, and of course to the production team behind this truly incredible documentary series. Unquestionably my favourite motorsport film(s) of all time. Thank you Porsche for allowing the film makers to portray the humanity behind the visors through wonderful cinematography, superb editing, amazing music and truly emotive story telling. Thank you, also, for not putting the brand of Porsche on a pedestal above the competition. The battle with the other manufacturers and teams was honest and faithful. It shows respect to the competition and to the sport itself making the achievement feel much richer. I am so happy to hear this series is going to continue. It seems to get better every season. Thank you to everyone for producing these films. Your audience of motorsport fanatics is so very grateful.
I have absolutely loved this documentary from start to finish. Seasons 1-4 have been brilliant, the production value on these episodes is amazing. For what is basically a free TV show! Michael's journey has been wonderful to watch. Can't wait to see what 2023 has in store! This show has gotten me into endurance racing, cant wait to watch Daytona in a few weekends! And then ELMS & WEC! Thanks Porsche!!!
