Florida now has veiled chameleons out in the wild which are becoming invasive. Maybe you can find someone who catches them and get a free veiled chameleon and take it out of the wild as well so it does not become a big problem in the wild. Kill two birds with one stone. 👍🏼

I'm no expert on discus but I know they can get stressed very easily. I think they need 6.0 pH extremely pure water High temps between 80 and 90 degrees and plant cover from highlighting. When stressed they stop eating.
Dreams normally mean something. My guess is its to do with a worry or a fear your having. In dreams having your safe place feel violated could mean something close to home is bothering you?
It could be related to what happened to her old goldfish. Wondering if it's from a fear of losing even more fish to the questionable illness? Especially with how the wolf was described breaking in and taking whatever it wanted.

Jen, so sorry to hear about your discus loss. As a discus keeper and hobbyist; water temp and cleanliness are crucial. I noticed you did more than a 50% water change? this can shock delicate fish and make it harder for the tank to maintain stable water peramaters. Much love!
I seen a real kitten like that. I saved it's life. It's neck was almost completely messed up. You could seen it's bones, esophogus, and treakea. I was little then, but I took care of all three (all had some chunks of their missing. Idk what done it) I cared for them, fed them, cleaned, them. They all healed and lived.
All without a vet. Now when everyone my age (I'm 17), and some kids in the neighborhood find an injured/abandoned animal they bring it to me :-| I've been brought everything from baby birds to snapping turtles. I saved snap snappy (a turtle) who was eventually released. A kid (not one of my friends, my friends saw it and brought it to me) tried to blow it up with an air compressor. He/she healed alright. He/she was bloated. Released he/she in a creek not close to where I live.
You need to build and upside down glass area out of your goldfish tank/pond. Then they could swim up and you could enjoy them from the side! They are gorgeous!

Those dart frogs are nice. We have a few populations of the green and black poison dart frogs here in hawaii but I don't think we're supposed to go out and collect them.
Discus can be really difficult fish. They're also rather atypical of cichlids personalities (they don't really have much personality). They're gorgeous but maybe try some rams (Germans are difficult too), angels, or uaru ... all are better personality and easier (except German rams). Other new world cichlids that will be good with the black phantoms are severums, blood parrots, fire mouths, salvini, chocolate, nicaragunensis. Acara. I think you'd love angels though.
Is it possible that your discus had and or brought in the parasite/bacteria/problem that killed your other fish? They were sharing the same media, correct? (If you have already checked this possibility off or if my question is uniformed in any way, then please feel free to ignore this review.)
The media for discus is from the old goldfish. Not from discus to goldfish. So the parasite/virus is from goldfish tank or media, not from discus or tetra or plecos.
I recently watched the new movie Annihilation. There's a part in the movie with a bear that sounds like the "zombie" wolf in your dream. I thought of your dream when I saw it.
My blue egg phoenix spawned, I did not have to many hatch because I didn't have a lot of time...but if you do not get any from Water Pigs, I Would LOVE LOVE LOVE to send you a couple of my babies if they turn out a good quality.

Maybe the dream is a hint as to what happened to your fish. Maybe it was a natural cause because it was a wild animal and since it forced its way in it means you couldn’t have done anything about it. Or maybe it says what happened to your discus. You were scared, maybe so were they. And that stress caused them to not eat. I’m not an expert on dreams OR discus but I believe that dreams are signs of something. Maybe keep a dream journal so you can look back for any signs.

My bunnies never eat their food until I pet them either! Spoiled babies lol, but just some tips I wanna share with you: kale is a superfood and my rabbits eat 3-5 whole stalks of kale every day and they are 10 now! Maybe see if Henry likes it cause I really recommend it. Also, they sell “yogis” at petco and it’s the perfect sweet treat for them. My rabbits live outside so thats why they’re so old, their circadian rhythm is working perfectly and they experience every season here in VA! Thought you’d find that interesting since you like science! I’m a science major so I can understand your passion. Anyways, good luck with Henry’s taste pallet! Great video, did you ever consider a goldfish / koi pond with turtles for the fish house ? I have a 75 gallon tub with koi and turtles the pond was having a problem with bacteria the fins on the koi where not doing well I started adding salt to the water and have seen a big improvement in the overall health of the pond are any of the goldfish breeders or yourself using salt in their tubs
If it makes you feel any better, I got my Discus from Uncle Sam, which I believe is also the supplier you went though, and since I livei n the LA area in California I picked out my discus up in person and had the opportunity to ask questions about specific strains which were good for beginners. I specifically asked him, genetically speaking, which discus were the most healthy (he ended d up directing me over to some F1 Royal Blues) then, for curiosity sake, I asked him which had the worst genetics, and he pointed out the "classic" variety right away, saying that while they were very beautiful and popular, but were also horribly inbred, and were notoriously stubborn eaters and could develop health issues. And I believe you did have at least 2 classics. I hope you try out Discus again someday!!

karen pereira Goldfish produce alot of waste so 70-80% water changes are necessary for them but I do a 80-90% water change for mine as my tank is over stocked.

Chameleons are best kept in combination terrariums/cages. Half mesh half glass. But they do really well in mostly mesh.
