- Kohinoor diamond is one of the most precious as well as the most controversial elements on the earth. Even though the diamond belongs to India, it's currently not there. Allegedly, the Britishers "Stole" it from us. But it's not just the ownership that is controversial, but the nature of the diamond too. It's said that the diamond is cursed and it shows all misfortunes to the person who owns it. But what is the full story of Kohinoor? How did it reach Britain into the Queen's throne? From my opinion, Kohinoor should be accepted as Nature's wonder and not should be looked as a deed of any country even United Kingdom. Uk should take it as Responsibility of it and not as owner of it. So that any 'PERSON' shouldn't wear it in crown and maintain its existence because cutting and polishing it will be danger for its natural form. If this things are fulfilled, we don't really need to bring it back to where it belongs :)

Wow what a legacy this piece of diamond carries...its historically relevant even to this day...and what a back story it carries...there have been numerous blood shed and wars taking place wherever this diamond was involved. Its a piece of history and it will outlast us all because it will exist for way longer than us. Good to know how it all started...and the video is deeply appreciated...the saga of this infamous diamond shall echo in the hearts of millions of people to come and hopefully through scientific innovation we can detect the exact age of it and its actual history and correct origin story...carbon dating can be used for the same.

Since the Kohinoor diamond was mined from Golconda diamond mines, near Hyderabad, India so rightfully it was "born in India" ! So it's last and final resting place should rightfully be somewhere within India as the Govt. finds a high security museum for it where it can be viewed by all Indians including foreign tourists to India just like the Taj Mahal.! 🤔

Britishers have been so smart, they used proper legal way to get the Kohinoor from the prince. India or any other country could not claim it even we know it originally belongs to us... It should be rather declared as international heritage which belongs to multiple countries... I think this is the only logical point left...

You said that Maharaja Duleep Singh couldn't come back to India, but reality is, despite his lifestyle in Britain, he decided to fight to reclaim his land and title in the Punjab. In 1886, he returned to India, where he re-converted to Sikhism.
Sikh army was waiting for him in Punjab, but the British army didn't let him meet with them, and he had to return back from Kolkata.
I'll recommend you to watch the movie 'Black Prince' based on his life.
The thing is, that many rajas and maharajas like Sher e punjab Maharaja Ranjit Singh ji had the kohinoor before the trickery of britishers was appealed to raha duleep singh ji…every one can say it was their right to had it by the diplomatic means we cannot even say that it should be given to the golcanda place.. dont mind my kack of knowledge for that place..so it should be kept their itself and let it rest ….but I personally think it should be handed over to india where it was originally founded and kept in a very big museum

In my opinion the KOHINOOR diamond should not be taken back and it should be let where it is now ( at the London Tower). Bringing it back is not an Easy task. Moreover I believe inspite of making efforts to bring it back , the government should focus on improving the standard of living of the people in India by creating more employment opportunities and increase manufacturing sector by establishing new industries ( just an opinion)

I first heard about Maharaja Duleep Singh from Assassins Creed Syndicate Game, which is based on the late 19th Century London. Was quite spectacled to see an Indian character in the game, sad that such history is never told.

Kohinoor can be brought to India, I think if not legally but as a symbol of the reparations that British (very rightfully) owe to India. If it can be brought back peacefully, it would be a big victory for Indian diplomacy or India/Britain relations.

I am from Nepal. If the diamond is of India then I suggest to give it back to india. But logically, situation is enormously different.
