Please don't worry about how long you take. If people want to they can always adjust the speed and watch it in a faster mode. And others of us like to see each step. On another note it is so frustrating to have technical difficulties when you're a creative person! Thank you for a wonderful video!
Tracie, I have just watched again and you have nothing to fret about. You didn't once go out of view of the camera - it was lovely and clear and well focused at all times! Thanks a lot x
I enjoyed your tutorial. I found it very helpful and much easier to follow than others that I've seen. Don't worry about your technical skills. They are just fine! Thanks for sharing.
your vid tutorial was great, so nice to watch in real time and not have it fast forwarded and put to music, also the length of vid was good not to long not to short and if it takes a while to explain something in full then so be it at least we dont come away with more questions then we had at the start.sound and picture quality were really good as well, looking forward to the next one, keep up the great work ......
This video is 2 + years old but I loved it, your voice is so soothing and sweet!! I was making a patriotic ribbon tassel and wanted to see how others do it and stumbled across your video! ♥️
Hehehe, thank you Gitte, it was funny, I could not stop laughing when I turned the camera off! I am such a muppet. I am so glad you liked it, thanks so much for watching xx
Hello there have you tried a surgeon’s knot, it starts the same with just another go through, pull tight and twist the string and it will hold then continue in the usual way. I hope that makes sense to you. I’m new to your channel and love your style of tutorial. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us all. X
Fabulous tutorial and don't ever change as I love you just the way you are. I also call everything thingy or such like lol. Thank you Tracie for being such a lovely lady xxx
Great project. I’m dying to make a few of those.I need to rummage around for pieces of trim and ribbon. I’m actually upset with myself. In a attempt to de clutter I gave away a whole box of ribbons and trim to my thrift stores. Now I want to go buy it back.🤣
LOVE how you got a smaller"head" or the tassel by twisting it! Also love how you use the pandora style beads, which I had not thought of either! We all have technical difficulties at times, no worries! Thanks for sharing!!
Tracie you crack me up! I love your names for your jewelry tools...I do the same so you aren’t alone lol. You are too hard on yourself. Your video was just great. It was clear and easy to see what you were doing. Michele has my hubby on call 24/7 for tech support and this offer extends to you as well lol. He’s a computer and software engineer so he’s used to having my friends and family ask for help ☺️ I’ve said this before...I could listen to you talk all day...I absolutely love your accent. I haven’t made a tassel using the ring binder clip that opens...brilliant idea and I will use the wax cording idea as well. Of course giving you credit. Great video my friend and I of course love the color you chose...purple😍 😘
Abby I am so glad you liked the video, and thank you for the offer of your husband! His help!!! I may very well take you up on that. I am sure you can make some wonderful tassels as your work is just so amazing, you know how much I love it. You made the snipping look so easy, I tried it yesterday and it looked like I had chewed the edges of the paper lol, not a pretty look! Thank you so much for taking the time to watch xxxx
Tracie watching you is a hoot! I love your channel and am glad to see I am not alone in the mishaps of trying to create videos here lol. Great tutorial and a good laugh! xo
I love this video! I have been binge watching your videos since I found them! As for being lengthy or long winded...well...I would watch them if they were longer because you inspire me so much! This tassel is just beautiful! I'm going to try making them for family members!
Honestly your tutorial is one of the better ones. Thank you for taking the time to do this video. I like the wax linen thread so Im off to get some, this will be much better and you can use it to string the beads. I really liked that. Thank you
Brilliant tutorial Tracie, you explained everything so well! I love the charm, I use different coloured metals together too and I really like that look! Thanks for taking the time to share your ideas with us! 😍😍
This tassel is wonderful, and the video was super helpful! I love this type of tassel but wasn't sure how to go about it, so thanks for making this video!
Fabulous tutorial, Tracie! The tassel is beautiful, and I love the charms. You have no idea just how good you are! The lighting was just fine. No need to apologize for anything, hon. You're doing great! And there's no need to rush. We have the ability to speed up the video (via the settings button on the bottom of the screen) if we're short on time. I don't follow too many people, yet I still have two who end their videos with all of the bloopers they've edited out. Fumbling over words, dropping the camera, knocking their supplies onto the floor, dogs going crazy barking in the background, all sorts of things. They're hilarious. But it shows that stuff happens even to the most seasoned TH-camrs. Relax, have fun, and just know that you are an absolute treasure! 💗
When you get a chance, take a look at one quick scene from this video th-cam.com/video/5tBeM8H5BIA/w-d-xo.html (Amy Love / Rose Altered Notebook). Start watching at the 7:30 mark. It will take less than half a minute. I swear, this was one of the first videos I watched after I made the above comment to you about things that happen during the filming process. And guess what? The unintended visitor in this video is so precious and priceless. I laughed out loud. It's the goofy little things that can set your films apart from everyone else's.
Sue this is an awesome comment and I would love to know who these YT'ers are they sound fun! Thank you so much for taking the time to watch and to leave such an uplifting comment. I have more to come and I am sure I will become more relaxed the more I do :-D Thank you again and have a fab week. xxx
Tracy this is EXQUISITE!! I love the simple way you explained to do everything and the project has turned out so pretty. The few little bow pause with the camera did not affect the video at all it is absolutely perfect. By-the-by I'm sharing this video with some groups who are doing a tassel challenge today. TFS ❣️🌻💜🦋
Lovely tutorial. Your tassel is super cute & you explained things just fine. I really enjoyed watching this especially when you giggled here & there. You're such a sweetie.
Please don't worry about the length of your video, I like long videos as they are nicer to watch as sometimes videos just feel rushed. If people want to rush through them then they can fast forward the speed on each video they watch by 3 different speeds. Thank you for sharing
I made a big, thick one to hang from my rear view mirror (not so big to obstruct any view though ). I'm loving it and got many compliments from it. Thank you ☺ ♥
Brilliant! You got the 2 videos together and made a smashing tassel with a beautiful beaded charm! Can I have one in pink please? LOL I’ll have to try this when I get more fabric bits. Thanks so much for sharing this!

cool tassel. stop saying "sorry" (said in the nicest way-hopefully) . I appreciate your time, energy and CREATIVITY. Your videos are wonderful and have helped me a lot. You have NOTHING to be sorry for. xxoo
A tip for trying to get lace/ribbon/thick twine through larger beads - use a pair of sharp tweezers (I have this surgical tweezers (look like scissors but are tweezers) which "lock" when squeezed together. Put them through the hole of the bead, grip the lace and pull it through.
LOVE this!!! "Pokey tool." That's the technical term! ;-) And you spliced the 2 vids together so you're not too "technically challenged." And the lighting is just fine!
Hey Tracie ... if you wanna use embroidery cotton for the colour variations, it's easy to wax the thread yourself. You can choose your ply that way, too. Just get a small block of beeswax (in my case, a beeswax candle-making sheet, which i folded & squished into a kinda block form. It's pliable with heat from your hand. Then push the thread into wax with your thumb, near one end, grab that short end, & pull thread through under thumb, out the other end. do the end that was missed, & repeat a few times. i've used this thread with a couple journals made for family, & it's worked really well :-)
Tracie this is beautiful! I love how you made this, all the pretty fabric and trim, and then the lovely charm you made to go along with it just made it all the more special. Everything you make is just so lovely and I always enjoy watching your videos tfs xo

Well, they will now! :-)
That is so pretty. Thank you.
Gorgeous tassel!
Then push the thread into wax with your thumb, near one end, grab that short end, & pull thread through under thumb, out the other end. do the end that was missed, & repeat a few times. i've used this thread with a couple journals made for family, & it's worked really well :-)
Thanks for the tip Liana xxx And thank you for watching xx
Tracie this is beautiful! I love how you made this, all the pretty fabric and trim, and then the lovely charm you made to go along with it just made it all the more special. Everything you make is just so lovely and I always enjoy watching your videos tfs xo
